About Hand Therapy Associates

About Hand Therapy Associates

Hand Therapy Associates is a physiotherapy provider based at Royal Square Medical Centre on Irrawaddy Road, offering services islandwide. KakiList has verified its operating details and contact channel. With only 2 Google reviews at a rating of 3/5, the review sample is too small to draw reliable conclusions about service quality.

Enquiries typically begin with an initial consultation to assess your presenting condition — hand, wrist, or upper-limb injuries and post-surgical rehabilitation are common in hand therapy practice. During the first visit, the practitioner will review your medical history, conduct a functional assessment, and discuss your recovery goals. From there, a treatment plan is agreed, which may involve manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, splinting, or a combination, delivered across single sessions or a structured package. It is worth confirming whether the consulting practitioner holds an Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) registration in physiotherapy, as this is the Singapore regulatory requirement for practising physiotherapists.

To take the next step, reach out to Hand Therapy Associates via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form to describe your condition and book an initial consultation at their Royal Square clinic.

I was surprised to see that there is a negative review. My experience here after 15 hand therapy sessions (from a serious dog bite injury) has gone beyond expectations. In my very first session, Hand therapist Sook Ming slot me in on a last minute notice and perfected my very first hand splint which aided so much in my recovery. Every session since then, I’ve felt well taken care of and have made massive progress on my recovery. From being unable to move some of my fingers and wrist, to have full mobility now, I’ve really got to thank Sook Ming and her patience in working with me through the past 4 months. Def highly recommend coming here for hand therapy!

Very Disappointing. Overcharges for a simple thumb brace, which can be easily purchased online at a fraction! She refused to refund after 1hour later when I reached home.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Hand Therapy Associates charge per session?

Hand Therapy Associates displays a mid-range price indicator, but specific per-session fees are not published publicly. In the Singapore market, private physiotherapy consultations typically run S$80–150 per session, with subsequent treatment sessions at S$60–120. Specialised hand therapy and splinting may carry additional charges. Confirm the first-consultation fee, any package pricing for multiple sessions, and the cancellation or no-show policy before booking. Ask whether your Integrated Shield Plan or employer's medical benefits cover private physiotherapy, as this varies by insurer. See the full physiotherapy cost guide for Singapore →

Do I need a referral or assessment first?

A GP or specialist referral is not strictly required to book a private physiotherapy consultation, though having one can help with insurance reimbursement and ensures the practitioner has your full medical context from the outset. For post-surgical hand rehabilitation, a referral letter from your operating surgeon is strongly advisable. At the first visit, expect to complete an intake form covering your medical history, medications, and the nature of the injury or condition. The practitioner will then carry out a functional and range-of-motion assessment before proposing a treatment plan. If your condition involves underlying vascular, neurological, or rheumatological factors, the physiotherapist may recommend concurrent specialist review.

Is the practitioner at Hand Therapy Associates licensed?

Physiotherapists practising in Singapore must be registered with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) under the Allied Health Professions Act. Registration can be verified on the AHPC public register at https://www.healthprofessionals.gov.sg. No regulatory licences are currently listed for Hand Therapy Associates on KakiList, so it is important to ask directly for the consulting practitioner's full name and AHPC registration number before commencing treatment. Hand therapy specialists may also hold additional credentials such as Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) designation, which requires postgraduate clinical hours and examination — worth asking about if your condition is complex. Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the AHPC public register before treatment.
