About HCSA Community Services
HCSA Community Services is a counselling provider based in Geylang and serving clients islandwide. The listing has been verified by KakiList, and the service holds a 4.5/5 rating across 104 Google reviews, which represents a robust sample. Pricing is indicated at the mid-range ($$) level, though specific session fees are not publicly listed and should be confirmed directly with the organisation.
Prospective clients typically begin with an initial consultation or intake call to discuss their presenting concerns — whether stress, anxiety, grief, relationship difficulties, or other mental health needs. From there, a counsellor will assess whether individual, couple, family, or group sessions are most appropriate. It is worth confirming the frequency and format of sessions, any structured programme commitments, and the cancellation or rescheduling policy before starting. If you intend to claim against insurance or a company Employee Assistance Programme, ask the organisation whether their counsellors hold SACAC or SAC registration, as some insurers require this for reimbursement.
To enquire or book an appointment, reach HCSA Community Services by phone or through the contact form on their website, referencing your location and preferred schedule so they can match you to an available counsellor.
Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.

I am been consistently impressed by HSCA's community service initiatives and their positive impact. Their well-structured programs effectively address pressing community needs, demonstrating a genuine commitment to making a difference. With dedicated staff and volunteers, HSCA creates a supportive environment that benefits both the community and its members. Their selfless work is truly inspiring, and I highly recommend supporting their cause.
They are doing a great job and helping migrants and Singaporeans to an extend in curbing the numbers of infected cases 8n Singapore....kudos to the tireless staff and brave volunteers...need more awareness for what they have done and continue to do. Really need all the help they can get so the actual staff can @ least rest for a mere 4-5hr when they get back hm....

HCSA Community Services lists pricing at a mid-range ($$) level, but specific per-session fees are not publicly displayed. Singapore counselling sessions typically run S$80–200 per hour at community service organisations and private practices, with subsidised or sliding-scale rates sometimes available for lower-income individuals — it is worth asking directly about any means-tested fee assistance. Confirm whether the quoted rate covers an initial intake assessment separately, whether package commitments (e.g. six or twelve sessions) attract a discount, and whether there is a cancellation or no-show fee. GST may apply depending on the organisation's registration status. See the full counselling cost guide for Singapore →
Most counselling providers in Singapore accept self-referrals — you do not need a GP letter to make an initial enquiry. However, HCSA Community Services may conduct an intake or triage call before scheduling your first full session, particularly if you are presenting with complex mental health needs or require matching to a specific counsellor specialisation (e.g. trauma, family therapy, youth). If you have a diagnosed condition such as depression, anxiety disorder, or PTSD, a GP referral can be useful for insurance reimbursement and helps the counsellor contextualise your history. Contraindications for counselling alone — such as active psychosis or acute suicidality — would typically be triaged to a psychiatrist or crisis service rather than a standard counselling intake.
Counselling in Singapore is not yet a statutorily regulated profession in the same way as physiotherapy or TCM, meaning there is no single government licence that all counsellors must hold. The primary voluntary credentialling bodies are the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC) and the Singapore Association for Clinical and Counselling Psychology (SACAC). Practitioners with SAC Registered Counsellor or SACAC membership status have met defined training and supervised-hours requirements. Before booking, ask HCSA Community Services for the credentials and professional membership of the specific counsellor you will be seeing. If you intend to claim sessions against an insurer or Employee Assistance Programme, confirm in advance that the counsellor's credentials satisfy the insurer's requirements. Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant body's public register before treatment.
