Placing a foreign domestic worker involves several moving parts: the agency's MOM Employment Agency (EA) Licence number should be verifiable on MOM's online EA directory before you pay any deposit. You will need to decide between a new-hire helper (typically a higher placement fee in the range of S$1,500–3,500) or a transfer helper (typically S$500–1,500), and confirm what is bundled — mandatory FDW insurance, the Settling-In Programme, medical examination, and Work Permit application — versus what is billed separately. Monthly costs after placement include the helper's salary (S$550–800 depending on nationality and experience) and the MOM levy (S$300 standard, or S$60 concessionary if your household includes a child under 16, an elderly member aged 67 or above, or a person with disability). Source-country options, the replacement guarantee window, and repatriation responsibilities on early termination are all terms to clarify in writing before signing.
Reach Home Sweet Home Professional Recruitment Agency Pte Ltd via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form, and ask for the EA Licence number upfront so you can verify it on MOM's directory before committing.
Verify the EA Licence number on MOM's online EA directory before paying any deposit, and read the agency contract's replacement, refund, and early-termination clauses.
Overall, a positive experience! We’ve worked with Home Sweet Home (HSH) since 2019 to hire FDWs for our elderly parents. They have a pool of Indonesian helpers – some with background in elderly care, some are able to understand simple Mandarin. As first-time employers, we had many questions. From the start, they were patient, helpful and made the whole process easy to manage, guiding us at every step. Special thanks to Jason Yoon for overseeing our current FDW’s contract renewal – patient, helpful and his attention to detail ensured a smooth transition for our family.
I'm absolutely thrilled with the service I received from Home Sweet Home! Finding a domestic helper was a breeze, thanks to Rita's exceptional support throughout the whole process. She was super responsive, knowledgeable, and made sure I had everything I needed. The whole experience was seamless and stress-free! I'd highly recommend Home Sweet Home and especially Rita to anyone looking for a reliable agency. Thanks again to Rita!
I am writing this review to share my experience with both the agency (Rita) and the helper they placed with me, CONMIGO ANGELICA. From the start, the helper showed serious issues with suitability, basic competency, and safety awareness, despite the agency assuring me she could handle household tasks and childcare independently. Some recurring problems included: 1. Attitude and Communication Issues • Frequently walked away mid-conversation or refused to respond • Avoided eye contact and reacted with visible frustration • Was resistant to feedback and unwilling to improve 2. Hygiene and Work Quality Concerns • Poor hygiene habits despite reminders • Required constant prompting to wash hands • Took 3–4 hours to cook a single dish despite claiming to be able to cook independently • Needed supervision for very basic tasks and showed little initiative to learn 3. Safety Risks Involving My Children • Left bathroom floors wet with soap, causing my daughter to slip • Improperly stored items in the freezer, leading to objects falling and hitting my daughter • Most concerning, she failed to supervise my 7-year-old son, who was seen opening the window lock and nearly climbing out—something that could have resulted in a very serious accident if a family member had not intervened These were not isolated events but a repeated pattern that created unnecessary stress and safety risks at home. 4. Disappointing Agency Response I raised these issues with the agency multiple times, but their response was not supportive. Despite the helper clearly overpromising during the interview and being unprepared for the role, the agency: • Took no accountability for the mismatch • Did not provide meaningful follow-up, retraining, or mediation • Insisted that I pay again for a replacement helper As a working parent with young children, I relied on the agency’s professionalism and assurance that the helper would be capable, honest, and willing to learn. Unfortunately, this was not my experience. I hope this review helps other families make informed decisions. Hire them at your own risk.
This is not the first time we have reached out to your agency, yet nothing has been done. Instead, all we get are delays, excuses, and zero real support. The helper you recommended has caused us countless problems and unnecessary stress at home. We approached your agency multiple times, but no proper solution was ever provided. Even the service commitments you agreed to before we engaged your agency were not fulfilled. If your agency is unable to provide full service coverage, then do not make promises to customers. This kind of behaviour feels completely dishonest and misleading. It is unacceptable that after signing the agreement, we received absolutely no support from your side. We would have been fine if your agency had at least guided or advised the helper to improve, but that never happened. Instead, you repeatedly claim you “cannot advise” on various matters, clearly trying to push away your responsibilities as an agency, even after we have already paid for your service. This entire experience has been a nightmare. We will never engage your services again, and we genuinely feel that dealing with your agency has been one of the highest-risk and most disappointing experiences we have had.
Reliable maid agency, have been w them more than 20 years there is up and down but they always helping and assist us and solved for us. Happy with their service. You can count on them.

Placement fees vary depending on whether you are hiring a new helper or a transfer helper. New-hire placements typically run S$1,500–3,500; transfer helpers, who are already in Singapore and do not require a new employment pass, typically cost S$500–1,500 in agency fees. Confirm exactly what is bundled: mandatory FDW insurance (~S$300–600/year), the MOM-required Settling-In Programme, pre-deployment medical examination, and Work Permit application paperwork are sometimes included, sometimes billed on top. Beyond the placement fee, budget for the helper's monthly salary (S$550–800 depending on nationality and experience) and the monthly MOM levy — S$300 at the standard rate, or S$60 at the concessionary rate if your household includes a child under 16, an elderly member aged 67 or above, or a person with disability. Every legitimate maid agency in Singapore must hold an MOM Employment Agency (EA) Licence, which is publicly verifiable on MOM's online EA directory by agency name or licence number. The licence number should appear on the agency's website, all contracts, and invoices. EA Grading runs from A+ to C; agencies rated A+ or A have demonstrated stronger compliance records and complaint-handling track records. No licence details are currently listed on this KakiList profile, so you should ask Home Sweet Home Professional Recruitment Agency Pte Ltd for their EA Licence number and verify it on the MOM directory before paying any deposit. Hiring through an unlicensed agent is illegal under Singapore law, leaves you with no recourse if the helper absconds or the agency ceases operations, and can void your FDW insurance. Verify the EA Licence number on MOM's online EA directory before paying any deposit, and read the agency contract's replacement, refund, and early-termination clauses.
A standard replacement guarantee typically covers a window of six months from the helper's arrival date and includes one to two replacements at no additional placement fee. Ask specifically what voids the guarantee — documented mismatch in duties or behaviour is usually covered, while general dissatisfaction or a change in your household's circumstances may not be. Confirm how many replacements are included and what the cost is for any additional placement beyond the guarantee period. Also clarify the early-termination process. If the placement breaks down outside the guarantee window, the household is responsible for the helper's repatriation flight, Work Permit cancellation paperwork, and any unused MOM levy refund. Understanding these costs upfront will help you assess the true risk of a placement that does not work out.
