About ImPossible Psychological Services

About ImPossible Psychological Services

ImPossible Psychological Services is a counselling practice based at 360A Joo Chiat Road, offering psychological and counselling services across Singapore. It holds KakiList verification, confirming that operating details and contact channels have been checked by a real person. The practice carries a 4.7-out-of-5 rating across 60 Google reviews, a moderate sample that provides reasonable directional confidence.

Prospective clients typically begin with an initial consultation to discuss their presenting concern — whether that is anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, grief, trauma, or work-related stress — and to establish whether the therapist's approach and specialisation are a good fit. Sessions may be offered on a single-session basis or as a recurring package depending on the clinical picture and the client's goals. Clients are advised to ask about the specific therapeutic modalities used (for example, CBT, ACT, psychodynamic, or trauma-focused approaches), session frequency, session duration, and the cancellation and rescheduling policy before committing. The practice can be reached via WhatsApp, phone, or the online enquiry form.

To take the next step, send an enquiry via WhatsApp or the contact form to confirm appointment availability, session fees, and whether the therapist's area of focus matches your presenting concern.

Couple therapy with Haikal was insightful and instrumental. My partner and I had a number of issues that were impacting us for years. We saw other two counsellors elsewhere, one f2f and one online previously and did not find them helpful. But the sessions with Haikal were another level. His assessment of our issues and interactions in the relationship was on-point. This understanding of how our behaviours impact the other opened our eyes to how we had not been communicating well and reduced the sense of connection in the relationship. His use of the two-legs model to ensure the balance in the relationship was a simple way to guide us through the challenges in the relationship. The sessions were dynamic with experiential exercises and strategies to support us in connecting with our client. I had recommended another friend to Haikal, who also shared positive reviews of the sessions. Highly recommend Haikal if you are seeking for a psychologist for both individual and couple work.

Mr. Haikai is the only psychologist I have continued seeing for many years. He has supported me through my depression, anxiety, and challenges in my marriage. What makes him truly exceptional is how attentively he listens to every detail without judgment. He takes the time to understand the situation deeply and often provides practical exercises during our sessions that help me reflect and work through my thoughts and emotions. Every consultation leaves me feeling clearer, calmer, and more hopeful. After so many years, I finally decided to leave a review because he truly deserves it. I’m very grateful for his patience, professionalism, and genuine care, and I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a psychologist who truly listens and helps you grow. Lawrence

Therapy with Sumathi at ImPossible over the past seven months has been a genuinely meaningful experience. She strikes a rare balance of being warm, patient, and compassionate while also remaining thoughtful, objective, and professional. I always felt safe speaking openly, yet encouraged to reflect, grow, and take responsibility for my own progress. As my first experience with therapy, this journey exceeded my expectations and has made a lasting difference in my wellbeing. I’m very thankful for her support and would confidently recommend this clinic to others! The administrative staff and therapists display a high level of professionalism and efficiency in the booking of appointments.

Md Haikal Jamil is a terrible psychologist. This was the worst couples counselling experience I have ever experienced. It was a very one sided session. He did not treat both of us equally and there was clearly a bias with this psychologist. He wasted all the time playing games asking us to pretend like we are a kid instead of addressing the problems we had. Our relationship gotten worse after seeing Haikal. We made the decision to stop seeing him after a few session. I would highly recommend NOT to use Haikal. RE: Your approach proves to come from a judgmental process basing the relationship to one’s upbringing. In this scenario, you even said you sided with my partner. She was empowered by your agreement and she ended up causing the infidelity shortly after. Our relationship ended shortly after meeting with you. What you said was completely out of line. I am sure you would love to for people to keep spending money and coming to you for years when you can finally balance the sides. To side with one party immediately was a completely amateur decision without understanding both sides. I feel like you don’t try to discover the underlying issue and scratch the top surface with the person that talks the most. I really hope others don’t have to deal with torn counselling. It was the worst decision I made. In our relationship. I am disgusted with your response and your methodology of practice. I write this in hopes that you can learn from your mistakes and others don’t go through what I have with your poor actions.

ImPossible has a warm and welcoming environment with therapists that are professional and kind. You can feel how much they care about the work they do, as there’s a lot of empathy, thought, and heart in the way they connect with others. This is so helpful in creating a safe environment for one to share their deepest thoughts and feelings, especially if going through a difficult time. I really appreciate the sincerity and kindness of the therapists here, and would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for thoughtful, compassionate and professional support.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does ImPossible Psychological Services charge per session?

ImPossible Psychological Services is listed at a mid-range price point, though specific per-session fees are not publicly disclosed — contact the practice directly for current rates. Singapore market context: counselling and psychology sessions typically run S$100–200 per 50-minute session at private practices, with psychiatrists and clinical psychologists at the higher end of that band. Ask whether a package rate applies for recurring sessions and whether any portion is claimable under your employer's Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) or private health insurance. Some insurers cover outpatient psychological therapy with a GP or specialist referral. There is no GST exemption for private counselling services, so confirm whether quoted fees are inclusive of GST. See the full counselling cost guide for Singapore →

Do I need a referral or assessment first?

No formal referral is required to contact ImPossible Psychological Services directly — most private counselling practices accept self-referrals. That said, if you intend to claim sessions under private health insurance or a corporate EAP, your insurer or employer may require a GP letter or a formal diagnosis before reimbursing fees, so it is worth checking your policy before booking. The first session typically functions as an intake and assessment — the practitioner will ask about your history, presenting concerns, and goals to determine whether their approach is appropriate for your situation. Arrive prepared to discuss how long the issue has been present, any prior treatment, current medications, and what outcome you are hoping for. If the concern involves a complex psychiatric condition, the practitioner may recommend a concurrent referral to a psychiatrist.

Is the practitioner at ImPossible Psychological Services licensed?

No regulatory licences are listed for ImPossible Psychological Services in the available data. In Singapore, counsellors are not currently subject to statutory licensing in the way that physiotherapists (AHPC) or TCM practitioners (TCMPB) are. Psychologists may hold voluntary registration with the Singapore Psychological Society (SPS) or be listed on the Register of Psychologists under the SPS's voluntary credentialling scheme, while therapists may hold membership with the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC). Before booking, ask the specific practitioner for their academic qualifications, registration body (SPS, SAC, or equivalent), and any supervised clinical hours completed. This is particularly important if you are seeking therapy for trauma, eating disorders, or other clinical presentations. Confirm whether the practitioner carries professional indemnity insurance.
