My wife and I had Eric as our ID for our 4-room BTO, and we did not regret it at all. Eric was patient, warm, and always professional during the design process. He is highly detailed orientated and has an excellent eye for colour and texture. During the renovation process, he was consistently attentive to our questions, concerns, and requests; Eric was thorough at each step of the defect checking and rectification. His workers and project manager were also friendly and easy to communicate with. There were certain delays but the company was accountable and mostly took the initiative to update us. At the end, we were very satisfied with the quality and look of our home, which was very much aligned - if not better - than our original draft. We think that this company is especially suitable for people look for more niche and warm vibes for the home. For us, we wanted a cottage and mid-colonial look, which had heavy emphasis on carpentry. Their inhouse carpentry was important to produce the specific designs we wanted and easily rectify/change the build-ins where necessary. This company may be somewhat slower at times, especially after the main works are complete, but it was not significant. There were also a few defects in the finer paintwork at first, but the workers were quick to rectify, which put us at ease. Eric also does not demand payment upfront and keeps to a proper payment schedule, completing appropriate phases of the work and allowing us to check through with him before sending the invoice for the next tranche. We are more than happy to approach Eric again if we had another renovation project in the future!
Engage In-Expat to do some renovation in my house recently and I must say they really live up to their excellent reputation. Eric is not only very knowledgeable and meticulous to details but also offer many good advice. Wei Lun was also very helpful and follow up very closely throughout the renovation. Both my wife and myself are very happy and satisfied with the new look of my house and the extra space that is created. Alvin
I have decided to go forward with In-Expat after meeting with more than 10 other ID firms as they really impressed me with their design ideas and presentation, which really stood out from the rest of the other ID companies I have spoken to. The IDs that were assigned to me is Joey and Danielle (though she left the company halfway through the planning stage). Our first meeting was via zoom, where they tried to understand my design requirements. During the 2nd meeting, I met them face to face at their office and they impressed me by having prepared a presentation slide on the mood board and rough design plan that they are planning to incorporate. This really stood out as no other companies had such an impressive show of effort to capture our interest. Once the first payment has been placed, they provided the 3D rendering and were very patient in all the multiple changes that I requested. Once the design is settled, they accompanied me for the tile selection, lighting selection, etc. Once I have collected my keys, Joey provided a detailed Gantt chart on the expected timeline for the renovation. There were some hiccups here and there, as expected for any renovations, however, I was pleasantly surprised that we were able to keep to schedule and even managed to complete the renovations 1 week ahead of schedule. The workmanship is great and they are very open to rectify any of the defects I have raised to them. I love the end product of the renovation and will definitely engage them again in the future if I decide to move in the future.
I very big thank you to Joey and her team for delivering the house just in time before CNY and outbreak of Covid-19 2 years ago! Joey picked up the pieces when the previous designer left without a word in the midst of renovation. Nothing was passed over. But Joey took the heart to listen and improvised the initial ideas. Although renovation was rushed but the quality wasn't compromised. From carpentry to plumbing and electricity. All was done nicely to our standard! Even the after sales service was excellent! Joey always tried her best to help if we have any issues. Making sure her workers come over to solve ASAP. I've recommended a few friends and they are too satisfied with their work! Please keep up the good work! 😁
ID Joey was great throughout our entire reno journey with in-expat! We chose them as their carpentry is done in-house, right under their office space and they do 3D renders in 360 view! This helped reduce a lot of the ambiguity during the design phase. Of all IDs we spoke to, Joey was the only one that even did a presentation of her proposed theme and mood board during our discussion phase! She was responsive and she understood the theme we were going for. Also, Justin helped out with selection of furniture, and went all the way to courts with us to guide on our in-built appliances! Thanks to both of them for the lovely designed home!!
