Index Design Pte Ltd is an interior design practice that examines interior for its spatial and architectonic potential.
The bulk of Index Design's bookings cover Interior Design. Because this is a focused home services operation, most jobs are scoped over WhatsApp first — photos of the issue, property type, and preferred slot — before a price is quoted.
Index Design covers all of Singapore, which is useful if you live in a less-central estate or need a provider that can follow a recurring job to different addresses. The business is KakiList-verified, meaning a real person has confirmed the operating details and contact channel. Google reviewers currently give Index Design an average of 3/5 across 3 reviews, which is a reasonable signal of consistency for a home services provider.
For a realistic quote from Index Design, send a brief description of the work on WhatsApp — include your area, property type, and when you'd like the job done. Because KakiList doesn't sit between you and the provider, quotes tend to come back quickly and without boilerplate upselling.
They were the ID consultant for all the units at my condominium project. It was terribly done. Planning was bad. Air conditioners positioning (especially for the living rooms) were terrible. A huge fraction of the residents were paying extra to relocate their air conditioners upon TOP. Carpentry planning is not ideal: tons of wasted space for the wardrobes in the room (they just boxed it up with false walls at the top of the wardrobe) and just hanging rods (possibly to save cost from extra shelving and laminate). Bathroom was planned with a huge window directly next to the showers. Neighbors can see everything (I mean it). It's such a bad design: if we tint it, the whole place is too dim and MCST doesn't allow lighter tints. If we do blinds, it's extra cleaning and costs for users. Ergonomics was terrible too: kitchen sink is in between 2 top cabinet shelves. Users cannot place their dishes onto the shelves conveniently. Usage space planning was bad too: the space for curtain tracks was badly designed and low compared to the ceiling within the room. Their aesthetics were terrible too: their choice of colors clash and the laminates for the top/bottom cabinets do not match with each other and the backsplashes in the kitchen. Alot of the residents were discussing about how to redo their laminates. The units look fine at showrooms but terrible in person without the ID treatment and lightings. Even if the budget for them to work with is low (which probably isn't), the planning shouldnt be this horrible. They should at the very least understand how to work between warm and cool colors even with a lower budget. Probably the worst I have seen in condominium projects.
