When enquiring about a function space, confirm the capacity for your specific event format — standing cocktail capacity is typically 1.5 to 2 times the banquet seated figure, with theatre seating falling between the two. Clarify whether food and beverage is handled in-house (with a minimum spend per head that usually replaces a hall hire fee), whether an external caterer is permitted and whether a corkage charge or approved-caterer list applies, and what the bar and liquor arrangements are. Ask about the audiovisual provision included in the package — PA system, projector, screen, microphones, and lighting — as well as aircon hours, noise curfew, and soundproofing. For wedding solemnisations, confirm whether the venue is a registered ROM solemnisation venue or whether you need to arrange a Justice of the Peace separately. Discuss setup and teardown access windows, as these often fall outside the rented time slot, and confirm parking arrangements and accessibility including lifts, ramps, and accessible facilities.
To proceed, contact Intercontinental Singapore by phone or through the enquiry form on their listing to check date availability, confirm the capacity and F&B policy for your event format, and request a full written proposal including all inclusions, surcharges, and the deposit and cancellation terms before committing.
Do a site recce, confirm capacity for your specific event format (cocktail / banquet / theatre), and put the F&B policy, A/V inclusions, noise curfew, setup/teardown access, and rescheduling terms in writing before paying the deposit.
We booked a two-night suite stay using points to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday in September 2025, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. Right from the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the Club Manager, Kenny, whose hospitality truly set the tone for our trip. During our time in the lounge, we had a minor mishap where coffee was accidentally spilled on our clothes. However, the way the hotel handled the situation was incredibly sincere and professional. Not only did they take care of the full laundry service, but they also generously gifted us a Sunday Brunch at their Italian restaurant, LUCE. The food was absolutely delicious and turned a small accident into a wonderful culinary highlight! The room setup was another massive highlight. We had requested some special birthday arrangements, and the team went above and beyond. We walked into a beautifully prepared suite covered in rose petals and heart-shaped balloons, complete with special pastries, a gorgeous birthday cake, and a bottle of red wine. We took so many amazing photos and spent a truly romantic two nights in that room. As the property transitions into its exciting new chapter as Frasers House, I want to wish the team all the best and a very prosperous business ahead. The level of care and service we received was unforgettable. We will definitely be back, especially to dine at LUCE and their other fantastic restaurants again!
We stayed here during CNY for staycation. It was our first experience to enjoy the baby-friendly lounge, it helped our stay a lot. Thanks to Harry and Kenny and all the team there, our stay became so comfortable and fruitful. Our baby also liked them! We will definitely come back. Also door man and bell hops were very helpful, appreciate their hospitality. The best service!
Purpose of stay: couple's staycation Overall: Stayed for a night in a . Overall, it was as slightly better than expected for the price as it was a rather large room Location: Just above Bugis mrt station and attached to the Bugis junction mall. Area was busy due to the Christmas period. Plenty of food & shops nearby outside of the mall Check-in & service: Check-in took about 10 mins. There was an initial hiccup with how a physical ID was required. Staff were generally still patient and professional and did not insist on the physical ID. Had a wonderful one-night staycay here. Good vibes overall and wonderful service from all their staff, especially Henry from the lounge who went the extra mile to get us oat milk. The room is clean and spacious. Gym is also well maintained with good selection of equipment. Great location in the heart of Bugis, with plenty of food options around. If you are parking here, ask for the $25 front parking. Do not park at the basement carpark as it belongs to Bugis Junction. One minor thing that they could improve would be the choice of bottle water they offer. Made the experience here bit less premium.
Used to be Intercontinental, now Marriott with mostly the same staff. 5 star service from start to end. Bonvoy benefits well respected. Outstanding lounge. Only one little annoyance: orange juice was consistently (4 days stay) not refilled at the main breakfast restaurant.

Hotel event venues such as Intercontinental Singapore typically price by event package rather than a straight hourly rate. Function rooms for smaller gatherings generally run S$1,500–8,000+ for a half-day, while ballrooms for larger events are commonly S$8,000–30,000+ for a full day. Wedding banquet packages at five-star hotels are usually quoted per table of ten, typically S$1,200–2,000+ per table. Confirm what is included in any quoted package: aircon hours, basic audiovisual provision, on-site staff, and cleaning. Common add-ons include in-house F&B minimum spend, external-caterer corkage (typical S$3–8 per head), liquor corkage for BYO arrangements, extended-hours surcharges, and photography or videography permits. GST and service charge apply on top of quoted rates at hotel venues. See the full venue rental cost guide for Singapore →
Capacity varies by space and event format. As a general guide, standing cocktail capacity is 1.5 to 2 times the banquet seated figure, with theatre seating falling between the two. Confirm the specific room dimensions and layouts with the events team before finalising your guest count. As a full-service hotel, Intercontinental Singapore typically operates an in-house F&B arrangement, meaning catering is provided by the hotel kitchen rather than an external caterer. An in-house minimum spend per head often replaces a separate hall hire fee. If you wish to bring in an external supplier for a specialist cake or ceremonial item, confirm the hotel's policy and any associated fees in advance. For wedding solemnisations, ask whether the venue holds ROM registration or whether a Justice of the Peace must be arranged independently.
Popular Saturday evenings and peak wedding season dates — particularly March to April and October to November — tend to book out six to twelve months in advance at hotel venues of this calibre. A deposit of roughly 30 to 50% is standard to secure the date, with the balance typically due one to two weeks before the event. Confirm the noise curfew (hotel ballrooms in central Singapore typically observe a 10 to 11pm wind-down), parking arrangements for guests, and accessibility including lifts and accessible facilities. Clarify what is covered if a force-majeure situation requires postponement — reputable hotel venues generally allow rescheduling within a defined window without forfeiting the deposit. Conduct a site recce and review the full written contract, including all surcharges and rescheduling terms, before paying any deposit.
