We had a great experience with IS Design Studio for our recent home renovation. What differentiated them from the start was that the team personally came down for a proper site assessment before preparing the proposal. That extra effort showed they were serious about understanding the space and our needs rather than giving a generic quotation. We especially appreciated the thoughtful and creative suggestions for our dining area, and how additional storage and counter space were provided without compromising on aesthetics. Post renovation, any defects or touch-ups were rectified quickly and responsibly, without excuses or delays. That level of accountability made the entire process much less stressful. We were also extremely impressed with their people management skills — particularly in handling our rather fussy downstairs neighbour. They managed communication professionally, preventing potential conflicts and ensuring the project progressed smoothly. We’re so glad to have chosen this team, Nicole and Yee Keong as our interior designer! What we love most is their great two-way communication and genuine effort to understand what we really wanted. From day one, they’ve been super committed — starting to plan with us 9 months before renovation even began, and getting all the prep work done early. Thanks to their guidance, we had all our tiles, laminates, lighting, and materials confirmed 3 months before kick-off, which helped everything run smoothly and complete within a very tight timeline! They really impressed us with their eye for design and practicality — from suggesting where the bed and lights should go, to making sure the kitchen cabinet height fits me perfectly. Every decision was thoughtful and suited to our lifestyle. Their ability to visualize the final look from the start gave us so much confidence and made the whole renovation journey a lot less stressful. Even when small hiccups came up, communication was always prompt, and they were quick to offer solutions and go the extra mile to get things sorted. Overall, we couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out — beautiful, practical, and truly feels like home. Highly recommend Yee Keong for his strong ethics pre and post renovations. He has been upfront, transparent and responsible throughout the whole renovation journey. Though I rarely write review for businesses, I am truly impressed with Yee Keong’s work and decided to post here. From material selection suggestion, 3D rendering, material quality to contractor workmanship, Yee Keong work has been very professional and above expectations. Yee Keong is also very detailed in ensuring contractors delivers quality finishing; for instance during the final inspection, he spotted wood grain alignment difference between two drawers and told the contractors to redo the lamination. No renovation will be defective free. However the key difference with Yee Keong is that he remains highly responsive and responsible on all issues, even months after final payment is made. Strongly recommend Yee Keong for all new home owners. 👍🏻

Reflecting on our renovation journey, we are glad to have chosen IS Design Studio out of the few IDs that we shortlisted. What stood out was the ideas that were proposed, which fulfilled both the aesthetic and practical aspects. Of course, the personality of the IDs and price are important factors as well. The price was reasonable and it was comfortable to communicate with our IDs- Nicole & Yee Keong. Nicole and Yee Keong were prompt in updating us on the progress of the renovation. Further, they offered suggestions (instead of leaving us to make our own decisions based on what we liked) during the selection for tiles and laminates, which made the process a smooth one. They were also accommodating to our requests e.g. they even helped to touch up the defects for loose furniture which we purchased elsewhere. As with most renovations, there is bound to be hiccups along the way. When that happened (which wasn’t much), they thought of solutions instead of pointing fingers or brushing it off. Overall, it was a good renovation experience. Thank you for building our dream home, Nicole and Yee Keong. We will definitely recommend them to our friends and family.
