We celebrated our reunion dinner at Jiang Nan Chun for the first time and it did not disappoint. The setting was elegant and festive, creating a wonderful atmosphere for family celebration. Each course was nicely executed with reasonable portions. Service was attentive and warm, making the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. Definitely a place we would return to

We dined here on Saturday, 21 February at 8pm, booked by friends visiting from the US who were staying at the Four Seasons. Unfortunately, one of our friends fell seriously ill and was unable to attend the dinner. The service was the main disappointment of the evening. One of the waitresses — possibly the manager — appeared visibly impatient while taking our order and gave the impression that she could not wait to be done with us. She also commented that we had ordered “too little,” which felt unnecessary and came across as condescending, leaving us uncomfortable as diners. In addition, when we asked about credit card promotions, we were given a flat “no” without any explanation. After later noticing promotions advertised on the DBS website and probing further, the response shifted to a vague verbal comment that “maybe Chinese New Year, no promotions,” with no clarity on terms or conditions. The lack of a clear, courteous explanation — and the dismissive manner in which the query was handled — suggested either unfamiliarity with the promotions or a lack of willingness to explain. A more informed and polite response would have been appreciated. The food, however, was excellent and ultimately the saving grace of the experience. The dishes were refined, well-executed, and fully deserving of the restaurant’s strong reputation. The kitchen clearly operates at a very high level. For a restaurant of this calibre, service should match the quality of the food. While the cuisine was outstanding, the service fell short of expectations, resulting in a mixed overall experience.

The restaurant has warmly welcomed back Chef Alan, who has been leading the kitchen for almost three months now. His new menu is fantastic, with plenty of exciting dishes that clearly show his personal touch. The food is comforting, served hot, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. Every dish we tried was tasty, satisfying, and made with great care. The menu is also very extensive, with lots of options and attractive set menus, definitely a reason for me to come back and try more next time! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great dining experience, Chef Alan and his team are doing an amazing job.

Peking duck served with caviar, first time trying and it was exciting. This is definitely the better Peking duck you can get in Singapore. Other dishes taste pretty average here and price is on the higher side. Service is great though and the restaurant has a very nice Chinese decor. Other than the duck, their complimentary birthday cake impressed us too. If you are looking for Peking duck and celebrating a birthday, this is the place to go.

A very cosy and posh place for Chinese cuisine. Tried their famous Peking duck with caviar which made it really special. The duck skin was crispy and was nice to go with their original sauce. The fish maw soup was think with broth and the lobster with glass noodle was 👍. The fried noodles with duck meat was my fav with wok taste.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Jiang Nan Chun Singapore charge?

Jiang Nan Chun Singapore prices at the S$$ tier, and specific package rates are not publicly listed — they vary by event format, headcount, day of week, and F&B selection. As a hotel restaurant venue, pricing is most commonly structured around a per-head minimum spend on in-house F&B rather than a standalone hall-hire charge, with packages for private dining and banquet events typically ranging from several hundred to several thousand dollars depending on scope. Key items to confirm in writing: the minimum spend or per-pax floor, what A/V equipment is included (PA, screen, projector, microphones), setup and teardown access windows, any extended-hours surcharge, and whether external caterers are permitted (and at what corkage if so). GST and any service charge should be itemised separately in the proposal. See the full venue rental cost guide for Singapore →

What capacity and F&B policy does Jiang Nan Chun Singapore have?

As a hotel restaurant venue, Jiang Nan Chun Singapore operates primarily with in-house F&B — the kitchen team at Four Seasons Hotel provides the menu, and a minimum spend per head typically replaces a standalone room-rental fee. External caterers are generally not permitted in hotel venues of this type, though it is worth confirming directly for your specific event. Capacity varies by layout: standing cocktail configurations typically accommodate 1.5–2× the banquet-seated count, with theatre-style seating sitting in between. Ask the events team for the floor plan and confirm the maximum headcount for your preferred format. For weddings and solemnisations, confirm whether the space holds ROM registration or whether a Justice of the Peace must be sourced separately. Liquor is typically available through the hotel's own bar service. A site recce during operational hours is strongly recommended before confirming a booking.

What's the booking and cancellation policy at Jiang Nan Chun Singapore?

Deposit and balance schedules at hotel venues typically involve a deposit of 30–50% on signing to secure the date, with the balance settled one to two weeks before the event. Popular Saturday evenings, particularly during wedding season in March–April and October–November, tend to book out six to twelve months ahead. Confirm in writing: noise curfew (hotel venues in Orchard may observe a curfew aligned with other guests), parking arrangements, accessibility for guests with mobility needs (lift access, accessible toilets), and the rescheduling or postponement policy in the event of a force-majeure situation — reputable venues typically allow rescheduling within six to twelve months without forfeiting the deposit. A site recce before paying the deposit is standard practice. Put the F&B minimum spend, A/V inclusions, setup and teardown access, and all cancellation terms in writing before committing.
