Patients typically begin with a first consultation during which the practitioner takes a detailed history, assesses pulse and tongue presentation, and discusses the presenting condition or wellness goal — whether pain management, musculoskeletal issues, fertility support, digestive complaints, or general health maintenance. From there, a treatment plan is proposed, which may combine acupuncture, herbal prescription, tui na, cupping, or other modalities depending on the diagnosis. Patients can choose single sessions or recurring packages; it is worth confirming the cancellation policy and any package commitment terms at the first visit.

I visited the clinic for a sprained ankle and was attended to by Physician Tan. He was very patient and took the time to clearly explain my condition, which gave me confidence in the treatment. I really appreciate his professionalism and care. Highly recommend this TCM clinic for anyone seeking attentive and thorough treatment.

I fell down and injured my left hand. My hand feel painful for 2 weeks. After getting the treatment from Dr Tan, my hand gets better the next day. He explained the theory based on the muscle and why i will feel pain for 2 weeks, after getting his treatment, the next day the pain reduced for like 70%, very effective in pain management. Super highly recommend Dr Tan for pain management treatment. I heard from the staff saying they have 3 outlet, 1 in ubi, 1 in Aljunied, and the other one is COMMONWEALTH opening soon in Feb. Highly recommend going Jin TCM Clinic for TCM, the price is super reasonable and worth the price. The medicine they give is not bitter at all.
I would like to express my gratitude to the team at Jin TCM Clinic, as I have successfully gotten pregnant under their care. To be honest, I was initially quite skeptical about trying TCM for fertility support. I used to think it was an old-school approach from the older generation. Thankfully, a close friend recommended me to Physician Wong, and that completely changed my perspective. During our first consultation, she took time to thoroughly assess both me and my partner. She patiently explained not only the TCM concepts, but also the scientific reasoning behind the treatments. Knowing that her methods are supported by both traditional wisdom and modern research gave me confidence to give it a try. One key concept that Physician Wong always emphasized is that our body is holistic. Treatments done in the clinic are only part of the journey — the active part comes from us adjusting our lifestyle and diet to support healing and regeneration. I was pleasantly surprised that instead of asking us to take many supplements, she encouraged me to focus more on natural, wholesome foods. Another thing I really appreciate is that she never discouraged us from taking supplements or seeking Western treatments. Instead, she clearly explained how TCM can complement them, so that both work hand in hand. On top of that, I also feel very assured with the herbal medicine here. All the herbs are clearly labelled on the packaging, which makes me comfortable knowing exactly what I am consuming. Once again, I’m truly grateful to the whole team at Jin TCM Clinic. I hope that by sharing my experience, other couples who may still be undecided, may consider this as a supportive and effective option.
When I experienced sudden hearing loss, I visited an ENT specialist who ran some tests and told me that my recovery after steroid treatment would likely be about 40%. My husband then searched online and found Dr Tan. After a few acupuncture sessions, my hearing gradually returned. I am now continuing with regular maintenance treatments. I was initially afraid of acupuncture needles, but Dr Tan is very caring and patient, which made me feel at ease. I am very comfortable receiving treatment from him. And the pricing is very reasonable.

JIN TCM Clinic uses a mid-range ($$) pricing position, though specific per-session fees were not listed at the time of publication. In Singapore, a standard TCM consultation with acupuncture typically runs S$40–90 per session at a private clinic, with herbal prescriptions billed separately at S$20–60 per week depending on the formula. Initial consultations sometimes carry a slightly higher fee than follow-up visits. Confirm whether package pricing is available for ongoing treatment, and ask about the no-show and cancellation policy before committing. Some insurers and Medisave-approved TCM clinics allow partial claims — check eligibility directly with JIN TCM Clinic. See the full TCM cost guide for Singapore →
No referral is required to book a first appointment at a TCM clinic. At the initial visit, the practitioner will conduct a structured intake assessment covering your medical history, current medications, lifestyle, and the specific condition or goal you wish to address. You may be asked to complete a short intake form in advance. For complex or chronic conditions — particularly where an orthodox medical diagnosis already exists — bringing any relevant reports, scan results, or specialist letters can help the TCM practitioner contextualise treatment. For patients planning to claim from a private insurer, check whether the insurer requires a GP referral letter to process the TCM claim before your first appointment.
In Singapore, all practising TCM physicians — including acupuncturists and physicians prescribing Chinese herbal medicine — are required by law to be registered with the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners Board (TCMPB) under the Ministry of Health. You can verify any individual practitioner's registration on the TCMPB public register at moh.gov.sg. No regulatory licences were listed in JIN TCM Clinic's KakiList submission at the time of publication. Before booking, ask the clinic directly for the consulting physician's TCMPB registration number and verify it on the public register. This is especially important if you are seeking treatment for a diagnosed condition or intend to claim from an insurer or Medisave-approved scheme. Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
