About JL Recruitment Pte Ltd

It holds a 4.9/5 rating across 363 Google reviews, a robust sample that carries meaningful weight. When engaging a maid agency, the process typically begins with a consultation to clarify your household's needs — number of occupants, presence of young children, elderly members, or persons with disability, and whether you are looking for a new-hire helper or a transfer helper already in Singapore. New-hire placements generally carry a higher placement fee (typical Singapore market range S$1,500–3,500) than transfer placements (typical S$500–1,500). On top of the placement fee, budget for the helper's monthly salary (S$550–800 depending on nationality and experience) and the monthly MOM levy of S$300 standard, or the concessionary S$60 if your household qualifies. Source-country options commonly include Indonesia, the Philippines, Myanmar, and Sri Lanka, each with different language profiles and work experience norms. A reputable agency will also handle the Settling-In Programme, mandatory medical examination, and Work Permit application, and will offer a documented replacement guarantee window — typically six months from the helper's arrival date.
To get started, contact JL Recruitment by phone or via the enquiry form, and ask for a written breakdown of all fees, the replacement policy, and the EA Licence number before paying any deposit.
Verify the EA Licence number on MOM's online EA directory before paying any deposit, and read the agency contract's replacement, refund, and early-termination clauses.
We had a great experience working with Cathy from JL agency. She understood our needs very accurately and recommended suitable helper profiles. She also arranged the WhatsApp interviews very quickly. Before the helper arrived, she handled all the communication and preparations, so as first-time employers we didn’t have to worry about anything. Cathy is always prompt in her replies and consistently friendly and gentle in her attitude. I would definitely recommend her to any friends who need a helper.
Had a great experience with Cathy who assisted me throughout. She is super efficient and responsive in resolving my queries. The whole process was smooth and fuss-free. Cathy kept me updated at every step, explained everything clearly and made sure all the paperwork was settled properly. My helper was able to arrive on time though there were some hiccups during the process. Highly recommend JL. Look for Cathy!
As a first-timer hiring employer, you can entrust the agency (Cathy was the one assisting us) to manage the start to the end of the process for you. Drop-in your helper criteria and feel free to ask as many questions. Cathy is very patient and responsive to our queries. You might not be briefed on what are the paperwork to be settled (there're quite a number of it). Mainly you need to sign and fill in some additional information. If you have any questions on any of the paperwork, the agency will be there for you whenever you need them to explain anything. We got our helper in around 2 weeks from the reviewing of the helpers, to finalising/clearing all the paperwork and the arrival of our helper. Once again, would like to thank Cathy for helping us through this process and also checking-in with us after we gotten our helper. Thanks!
I want to express my heartfelt thanks to Cathy from Elias Mall. She displays her professionalism and patience listening to my request for hiring a helper for elderly care and housework. She is definitely highly recommendable for anyone looking for a reliable and smooth hiring process. Thank you so much JL Recruitment and Cathy of course!

JL Recruitment's listing shows a '$$' pricing indicator but does not publish a specific fee schedule. As a reference, Singapore maid agencies typically charge a placement fee of S$1,500–3,500 for a new-hire helper and S$500–1,500 for a transfer helper already in Singapore. On top of the placement fee, the ongoing monthly costs include the helper's salary (S$550–800 depending on nationality and experience) and the MOM monthly levy of S$300, reduced to S$60 concessionary rate if your household has a child under 16, an elderly member aged 67 or above, or a person with disability. Also confirm whether FDW insurance (~S$300–600/year), the Settling-In Programme, medical exam, and Work Permit application are bundled or billed separately. Every legitimate maid agency in Singapore must hold a MOM Employment Agency (EA) Licence, which is publicly verifiable on the MOM online EA directory by the agency's name or licence number. The licence number should appear on the agency's website, written contracts, and invoices. No EA Licence number is recorded in JL Recruitment's current listing data — confirm this directly with the agency or search the MOM EA directory before paying any deposit. EA Grading runs from A+ to C; grades of A+ and A indicate stronger compliance records and better handling of complaints. Hiring through an unlicensed agent is illegal, leaves you with no recourse if the helper absconds or the agency closes, and can void your FDW insurance. Verify the EA Licence number on MOM's online EA directory before paying any deposit, and read the agency contract's replacement, refund, and early-termination clauses.
The standard replacement window at Singapore maid agencies is typically six months from the helper's date of arrival. Within that window, a documented mismatch — such as a significant skills gap or a breakdown in the working relationship — should entitle you to a replacement placement, though the number of replacements included and what voids the guarantee (for example, a change in your household's requirements rather than a genuine placement issue) varies by agency contract. Confirm these terms in writing before signing. Also clarify the early-termination process if a placement breaks down outside the guarantee window. Repatriation flight costs, refund of unused MOM levy, and Work Permit cancellation paperwork are typically borne by the household in that scenario. Contact JL Recruitment directly for their specific replacement and early-termination terms.
