Families enquiring about a place would typically begin by clarifying the subject, level, and syllabus — whether MOE mainstream, IP, IB, or IGCSE — to confirm the centre can address the specific gap. It is worth asking whether sessions are conducted in small groups or on a one-to-one basis, as this affects both pace and pricing. Prospective students are generally encouraged to attend a trial class before committing to a term, which allows both the learner and the tutor to assess whether the level and teaching approach are a good fit. Location is straightforward — the centre sits at Block 177 Toa Payoh Central, accessible from Toa Payoh MRT.
To take the next step, reach out to Joyous Learning via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form to ask about current availability for the relevant level, confirm whether a trial class is offered, and clarify the term commitment and fee structure before enrolling.
Take the trial class and confirm the tutor's actual credentials before committing to a term.
My son is in Primary 6 this year and attended Math, English, English composition and Science lessons at Joyous since the Jun holidays. He says that the teachers were very kind and understanding; they taught at an appropriate pace and in a way that everyone understood. The teachers were patient and very encouraging too. Through his lessons, he has built on concepts and understanding. And I could see that the teachers engaged him and motivated him to keep improving - thank you, Joyous!
Our daughter has been attending Joyous Sunday Maths and English lessons since early 2024. She is currently Pri 6! I have seen gradual yet distinctive improvements in her academic learning, as well as social development. Truly grateful to Teacher Cindy for her dedication and care for the students!
I have two children attending classes here and both have benefited from this boutique tuition center. Teacher Stella has been wonderful with my P4 daughter for Math. She is incredibly patient and has a gift for keeping my daughter engaged and interested in the subject. Mrs Ang taught my P6 son writing for the year and made an impact on his composition skills. She provided constructive feedback that helped him understand where to improve, and taught him useful planning and execution techniques that have really strengthened his writing for PSLE.
My son really enjoyed the GEP classes and always looked forward to them. He often comes home excited to share what he has learnt. Mr Sim is both firm and approachable, which makes learning enjoyable and motivating. We also appreciate that his feedback goes beyond just GEP prep, focusing on my son’s overall growth and love for learning.
We are very glad to have chosen Joyous to support our daughter’s PSLE preparation. Thanks to the teachers’ diligence, encouragement, and attentive guidance, she achieved a wonderful result. We are truly grateful and highly recommend Joyous to other students and parents.

Joyous Learning displays a mid-range price indicator, though a specific per-session or monthly figure is not published. Tuition centres in Singapore typically charge on a per-session basis or bundle fees into monthly or term packages. Group sessions generally run lower than one-to-one arrangements, and rates vary by subject, level, and tutor background. It is worth asking whether a trial class carries a separate fee, whether materials or workbooks are charged separately, and whether sibling or multi-subject discounts apply. Some centres also offer differing rates for peak-hour versus off-peak slots. See the full Tuition Centres cost guide for Singapore →
Many tuition centres offer a trial class — sometimes complimentary, sometimes charged at the standard session rate — before asking for a term commitment. This gives the student a chance to experience the teaching style, pace, and classroom dynamic firsthand. During the trial, pay attention to whether the level matches the student's current ability, how the tutor handles questions, and whether the student feels engaged rather than overwhelmed or under-challenged. Contact Joyous Learning directly via WhatsApp or phone to confirm their trial class policy and whether a slot is currently available for the relevant subject and level.
Tutor credentials at Joyous Learning are not publicly listed at this time. When enquiring, it is reasonable to ask whether tutors hold a degree in the relevant subject, whether any have NIE training or prior MOE teaching experience, and how long they have been teaching the specific syllabus — whether MOE mainstream, IP, IGCSE, IB, or another curriculum. Syllabus alignment matters particularly for upper-secondary and pre-university levels where examination format and marking schemes differ significantly. If you have a preference for a tutor with specific experience, raise this before the trial class so the centre can match accordingly. Contact Joyous Learning directly to ask about the qualifications of the tutor assigned to your child's level.
