About JW Marriott South Beach
JW Marriott South Beach is a full-service hotel event venue at 30 Beach Road, Singapore, offering function rooms, ballrooms, and event spaces for occasions ranging from corporate gatherings to wedding solemnisations and banquets. It holds a 4.5/5 rating across 3,880 Google reviews — a robust sample that reflects consistent guest experience across a wide range of events. Pricing is package-based, and as with most hotel venues, the quoted rate typically encompasses a minimum food-and-beverage spend rather than a standalone hall-rental charge.
When enquiring, confirm your event format first — standing cocktail capacity typically runs 1.5 to 2 times the banquet seated number, so the same room can accommodate meaningfully different headcounts depending on layout. JW Marriott South Beach operates an in-house F&B programme, which generally means catering is sourced through the hotel kitchen rather than an external caterer; clarify whether a corkage arrangement exists if you have a preferred external supplier. Discuss aircon hours, A/V provision (PA system, projector, screen, microphones), setup and teardown access windows — these are often outside the rented event window and worth confirming in writing — as well as noise curfew, parking arrangements at or near Beach Road, and lift and ramp accessibility. For wedding solemnisations, ask whether the venue is a registered ROM solemnisation venue or whether a Judicial Justice of the Peace must be arranged separately.
Contact JW Marriott South Beach by phone or via their enquiry form to request a site walk, confirm your preferred date's availability, and obtain the full package breakdown in writing before paying any deposit.
Do a site recce, confirm capacity for your specific event format (cocktail / banquet / theatre), and put the F&B policy, A/V inclusions, noise curfew, setup/teardown access, and rescheduling terms in writing before paying the deposit.
This is the best hotel that I stayed so far. As Marriott, the service is always there and excellent. Really all staffs are very helpful and friendly. They’re really put high standards of excellence as the brand. The room is quite spacious, comfortable for all the amenities. One suggestion, if they could amend the painting in the room with something more sweet artistic, could be better 🙌🏼❤️ The location is 💯!! Easy to get MRT & Bus station. Easy to explore 3 malls around. It’s really really convenient. Will come back for sure. Enjoy Singapore 🇸🇬
Great location. Plenty of food options within walking distance. Very close to Merlion statue and waterfront. Rooms are very well kept. Staff super friendly and helpful. Exec Lounge is good if you qualify, I wouldn't go out of my way for breakfast, but happy hour is good. 17th floor has bar, pool, billiards table and foosball table. Gym in clean and well maintained. 5 ⭐ hotel that lives up to the hype. Recommended if you have the option.
Great hotel. Breakfast at restaurant has huge variety of foods, both afternoon tea and cocktail time at lounge were good too! 4 hours of free flow alcohol is very generous :) Though I wish the sparkling wine at lounge wasn’t Prosecco. We were able to take a bus to the airport from Raffles hotel.
This is an excellent hotel in a perfect location. Most centric local attractions can be reached by foot or very short "Grab" rides. The hotel is within the South Beach complex, which includes a variety of restaurants, from simple bar food to superior sushi. The hotel is not very large (compared to others), therefore the service is much more personal. Still it has two pools, both with unique views and great space to relax after long work days. We stayed here for a week, and enjoyed an excellent service from the whole team. Special thanks to Fiona and the team in the executive lounge for their superb service.
Stayed at JW Marriott Hotel Singapore South Beach from 9 to 10 Aug 2025 with my family for a National Day staycation, and it was a very enjoyable experience. One of the highlights is the location. From the hotel, you can watch parts of the National Day Parade, including the fireworks and the commandos parachuting in, which made the stay especially memorable. Service was excellent throughout. The team was warm, sincere, and well trained. Staff communicated clearly, handled requests smoothly, and demonstrated a high level of professionalism that you would expect from a JW Marriott. The executive lounge was another strong point. The food selection was good, and the cocktails were well made and enjoyable. Facilities are also well suited for families. There are two swimming pools, and my daughter enjoyed spending time at both. Overall, it is a great option for a staycation, especially during National Day. The only downside is that the hotel does get very crowded during this period, which is to be expected given the location and occasion. As a frequent Marriott guest, this is a property I would happily recommend, particularly if you are planning a National Day staycation.

JW Marriott South Beach is a hotel venue, so pricing is typically structured as an in-house F&B minimum spend per guest rather than a standalone hourly hall-rental fee. For reference, mid-to-large hotel ballrooms in Singapore commonly run S$8,000–30,000+ for a full-day event, with per-table wedding banquet pricing at S$1,200–2,000+ per table of ten depending on menu tier and day of week. Itemise the full cost before signing: minimum F&B spend, any room-hire component, A/V equipment (PA, projector, screen, lighting, microphones — some are bundled, others billed separately), setup and teardown access outside the event window, cleaning fee, extended-hours surcharge, and GST and service charge, which hotel venues apply at the prevailing rates. Ask for a written quote covering all line items. See the full venue rental cost guide for Singapore →
JW Marriott South Beach offers multiple event spaces across the property, with different rooms suited to intimate boardroom-style meetings, mid-sized cocktail receptions, and large-scale banquets. Standing cocktail configurations typically accommodate 1.5 to 2 times the banquet seated number for the same room, so confirm the layout that matches your event format. As a hotel, catering is generally in-house, with menus curated by the hotel kitchen across Chinese banquet, Western, and multi-cuisine formats. Clarify whether an external caterer corkage arrangement is available if you have a specific catering preference. For alcohol, the hotel holds its own Liquor Licence, so BYO corkage terms (if any) should be confirmed explicitly. For wedding solemnisations, ask whether the space is a registered ROM solemnisation venue or whether you need to arrange a Judicial Justice of the Peace independently.
Hotel venues typically require a deposit of 30–50% to secure the event date, with the balance due one to two weeks before the event. Popular Saturday evenings and dates in the peak wedding season months of March, April, October, and November book out 6–12 months in advance, so it is worth enquiring early if your date is fixed. Confirm the noise curfew (standard in Singapore is 10–11pm for venues in or adjacent to residential zones, though Beach Road is predominantly commercial), parking availability at or near the venue, and accessibility provisions including lifts, ramps, and accessible toilets. Put the rescheduling and force-majeure policy in writing before paying the deposit — reputable venues typically allow postponement within 6–12 months without forfeiture in genuine circumstances. A site recce before committing is standard practice and advisable.
