Patients typically begin with an initial consultation in which the practitioner conducts a TCM assessment — tongue and pulse diagnosis, discussion of presenting symptoms, and review of medical history. From there, a treatment plan is formulated, which may involve acupuncture, tui na (therapeutic massage), cupping, or herbal prescriptions depending on the condition. Ongoing treatment is usually structured in courses of sessions rather than single visits, and the frequency is adjusted as the patient responds. It is worth confirming the expected number of sessions, the consultation fee, and any costs for herbal medicine or consumables before committing.
To make an appointment, contact Kin Teck Tong (Jurong East) directly by phone or through the enquiry form on their listing, and bring a summary of any existing medical conditions or concurrent medications to your first visit.
Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
I went in due to stiffness in my right neck area. The receptionist recommended a consultation followed by Tuina. However, the consultation felt very brief and basic. It mainly involved asking general questions that I had already filled out in the registration form, pressing a few areas on my neck, and taking my blood pressure. The entire consultation lasted about 5 minutes ($35) The 40-minute Tuina massage ($80) did not meet my expectations. I had requested stronger pressure, which was not delivered. The experience felt similar to a basic massage and did not justify the pricing. And my neck stiffness remains.
I feel really lucky to have met the therapist Cindi. I had been struggling with headaches, sleep issues, and sciatica pain for years. After starting treatment with her about four months ago, the improvement has been amazing. Cindi’s massage skills are precise and effective, and she is always patient and attentive. She earned my trust from the very first session. I’ve since recommended her to my mother and husband, and she has helped all of us. We’re truly grateful to Cindi — highly recommended!
Receptionist was friendly and easy to communicate with. The prices were clearly stated and the doctors were experienced. The therapist's techniques were different from those I've experienced at other businesses and were very effective.
Absolutely appalling experience. Both the receptionist and the tuina therapist showed zero concern for my feedback. The place was untidy, with crushed and dirty bed sheets, and the therapist had no understanding of my pain areas — making the session completely useless. My shoulder sprain actually worsened, The staff were unfriendly and indifferent throughout, resulting in a total waste of money. I strongly advise everyone to stay far away from this place.
Cindi is always my favorite tuina therapist. Highly recommended and she is very caring and sincere to help customer in resolving the body ache issue.

Kin Teck Tong (Jurong East) is listed at a mid-range ($$) price point, though specific per-session fees were not published at the time of listing. In Singapore, TCM consultation fees typically range from S$20–50 for the assessment alone, with acupuncture sessions running S$40–100 and tui na treatments S$50–120, depending on duration and the complexity of the condition. Herbal prescriptions are billed separately and can add S$30–80 per course. Before your first visit, confirm the consultation fee, the cost of any treatment modalities recommended, whether herbal medicine is billed per prescription or on a monthly basis, and the cancellation or no-show policy. Some TCM clinics offer package rates for a defined course of treatment, which can reduce the per-session cost. See the full TCM cost guide for Singapore →
No GP referral is required to visit a TCM clinic in Singapore — you can book directly. At the first visit, the practitioner will conduct an intake assessment covering your presenting complaint, medical history, current medications, and any known contraindications (for example, certain acupuncture points and herbal formulas are adjusted for pregnant patients or those on blood thinners). If you intend to claim against an employer's medical benefits or an integrated health insurance plan, check whether your insurer requires a GP referral for TCM reimbursement before attending — some plans have this requirement even though the clinic does not. Bringing a written list of current prescription medications is advisable, as some Western drugs interact with TCM herbal preparations.
In Singapore, TCM practitioners — including acupuncturists and TCM physicians prescribing herbal medicine — must be registered with the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners Board (TCMPB) under the Ministry of Health. Registration is verifiable on the TCMPB's public register at moh.gov.sg. No regulatory licences were listed for Kin Teck Tong (Jurong East) at the time of this listing. Before your first appointment, ask the clinic for the consulting physician's TCMPB registration number and verify it on the public register. This is particularly important if the treatment plan involves herbal prescriptions or acupuncture, both of which are regulated practices under the TCM Practitioners Act. Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the TCMPB public register before treatment.
