New patients typically begin with an initial consultation during which the practitioner takes a full case history, assesses presenting symptoms through tongue and pulse diagnosis, and establishes a treatment plan. TCM services commonly span acupuncture, tui na, cupping, herbal prescription, and dietary advice, depending on the condition. It is worth confirming which modalities are available and whether the practitioner has specific focus areas — for instance, musculoskeletal pain, women's health, or digestive conditions — as this affects whether the clinic is a good fit for your needs. Patients with complex or chronic conditions should bring any existing medical reports to the first session.
To book, contact Kin Teck Tong (Novena) directly by phone or through the enquiry form on their listing, confirm the practitioner's availability and session format, and ask about any package options before committing.
Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
My first visit. My sis suggested I try tuina wellness massage by her therapist Carol. Need to have a doctor consult first. Then had 40min oil shoulder and back massage. Carol was professional and kneaded and hit all the “suan” spots for me. Very good and made another appointment with Carol.
Have been visiting this outlet for a year consistently and really impressed with Jia Yi, Miao Miao. The medicine which Jia Yi prescribes for me has been taking effect, and she's really patient in understanding your root cause and altering different medicine formulas to cure you. Very friendly and approachable attitude as well; always reassuring and never recommends any product or service (e.g. acupuncture) which is unsuitable for your body type or condition. Dosage will also increase gradually, rather than loading you with maximum amounts immediately. Miao Miao works wonders in first identifying the various knots and high pressure or stress areas within the first 5 - 10mins, before providing proper treatment. She'll recommend gua sha or Ba Guan if required as well. She's attentive and a joy to speak with. Within 2 - 3 visits, she has already successfully reduced the tension on my hamstrings and lower calves effectively. Would really recommend overall for sports injury, muscle aches, joint aches, or other medical symptoms as well. They have various packages available too at reasonable rates too!
This place never disappoints! Physician Chu is a highly professional and patient communicator who is also exceptionally honest. I once came in with a suspected fracture, which was beyond the clinic's ability to treat. Instead of trying to intervene, she was upfront, directed me to the hospital for proper care, and didn't charge me for the appointment. That kind of honesty and ethical practice is rare and makes this clinic truly exceptional.
Today went to Kin Teck Tong @ Plaza Sing as accidentally strained my lower back and pulled my left thigh's muscle during a heavy gym session. Dr He is very detailed in checking my condition, while therapist Jessie did a very good job in tuina. At the end of my tuina session, my lower back and thigh are no longer painful! I am really impressed.
Made me feel less important. My appointment was 6pm to 7pm today (1 hour tuina). I arrived at 5.30PM, so I patiently waited until 6pm. They only asked me to go in at 6.10pm. Then suddenly after 30 min the therapist said I can only do 40 min coz the reception said she needs to cut short. Damn, 30 min came early, my appointment cut short due to more important client. Look at your records how often I go to your clinics, you lost big time. Been a client for years because my employer pays for TCM massage. Bye!

Kin Teck Tong (Novena) is priced in the mid-range tier. Typical TCM consultation fees in Singapore run S$20–60 for the initial consultation, with acupuncture sessions ranging from S$50–120 and herbal prescriptions billed separately at S$20–80 per week depending on the formula. Package bundles for ongoing treatment are common and generally offer a lower per-session rate than paying individually. Confirm the full fee structure — consultation, treatment modality, and herbal prescription — before your first appointment, and ask whether a no-show or late-cancellation charge applies. GST is applicable on TCM services. See the full TCM cost guide for Singapore →
No GP referral is required to book a TCM consultation — you can contact the clinic directly. At the first visit, expect to complete an intake form covering your medical history, current medications, and presenting concern. The practitioner will then conduct a tongue and pulse assessment as part of the TCM diagnostic process before recommending a treatment plan. If you have an existing medical condition managed by a western doctor — such as heart disease, blood clotting disorders, or pregnancy — inform the practitioner before treatment begins, as certain modalities such as acupuncture or cupping carry contraindications. Bringing recent blood test results or specialist letters can help the practitioner tailor the approach. A GP referral letter is useful if you intend to claim through an integrated shield plan, as some insurers require it for TCM reimbursement.
In Singapore, TCM practitioners must be registered with the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners Board (TCMPB) under the Ministry of Health. Registration is mandatory by law — practising without it is a criminal offence. You can verify any TCM practitioner's registration by name on the TCMPB public register at moh.gov.sg before booking. Note that Kin Teck Tong (Novena) does not currently list specific regulatory licences on its KakiList profile. It is advisable to ask the clinic directly for the consulting practitioner's TCMPB registration number and cross-check it on the public register. This single step provides the most reliable confirmation of qualified and lawful practice. Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
