We engaged this agency to find a reliable transfer helper to care for our baby. Unfortunately, our experience was poor, frustrating and fell well short of what was represented to us. We were assured the helper was hardworking and suitable. In hindsight, we should have trusted our instincts when we learned she had already broken contract twice previously. We decided to give her the benefit of doubt, but she ended up breaking her contract again—within two weeks—after realising I am home most of the time. We prefer not to micromanage and we expected her to be able to work responsibly and independently ONCE DUTIES ARE AGREED. The standard of work was not as promised, and our home was honestly worse off than if we had no helper at all. When we are back from our outings, she will come out of her room sleepy and chores undone. On top of this, the contract terms place the lodging burden on employers until a replacement is found, which is an additional stress and cost when a placement fails so quickly. Overall, I did not feel the screening and suitability assessment were done properly, and the support after issues surfaced was not reassuring. Engage at your own risk.
