I’ve been a customer of Labour Express for more than 12 years, long before COVID, and throughout this time I’ve changed several helpers. One thing that has remained constant is the excellent support from Sun. Sun has assisted me all these years — from sourcing suitable helpers to renewing their contracts — and her service has always been reliable and reassuring. For my most recent helper, Yoon, Sun once again helped with the renewal and patiently explained the updated terms to me, especially the changes in insurance pricing. She took the time to make sure I fully understood everything. What really stood out was when my family went overseas and I had to send my helper to the hostel for a few days. Sun took the initiative to speak to my helper directly and guided her as well. This was truly going above and beyond her scope of work. Sun is always easy to communicate with, patient, and proactive, making the whole process smooth and stress-free. She truly deserves a 5-star rating for her dedication and professionalism. Sun in labour express is very helpful and prompt in getting a new helper for me despite the first bad experience with my first helper. She displayed excellent customer recovery and also were very prompt to find us a helper replacement in the soonest time possible. We engaged this agency to find a reliable transfer helper to care for our baby. Unfortunately, our experience was poor, frustrating and fell well short of what was represented to us. We were assured the helper was hardworking and suitable. In hindsight, we should have trusted our instincts when we learned she had already broken contract twice previously. We decided to give her the benefit of doubt, but she ended up breaking her contract again—within two weeks—after realising I am home most of the time. We prefer not to micromanage and we expected her to be able to work responsibly and independently ONCE DUTIES ARE AGREED. The standard of work was not as promised, and our home was honestly worse off than if we had no helper at all. When we are back from our outings, she will come out of her room sleepy and chores undone. On top of this, the contract terms place the lodging burden on employers until a replacement is found, which is an additional stress and cost when a placement fails so quickly. Overall, I did not feel the screening and suitability assessment were done properly, and the support after issues surfaced was not reassuring. Engage at your own risk.
