About Lewin Terrace

About Lewin Terrace

Lewin Terrace is a venue rental provider located at 23B Coleman St, Singapore 179807, offering event spaces for a range of occasions. KakiList has verified its operating details and contact channel. It holds a 4.5/5 rating across 193 Google reviews, a robust sample that provides meaningful confidence in the guest experience.

Enquiries typically begin with confirming capacity for your specific event format — standing cocktail, banquet round-table, or theatre seating, each of which yields a different usable headcount from the same floor plate. Before committing, clarify the F&B arrangement: whether catering must be in-house, whether an external caterer is permitted (and if so, whether a corkage fee or an approved-caterer list applies), and whether a Liquor Licence covers bar service or whether BYO with corkage applies. Confirm what the package includes — aircon hours, A/V provision (PA system, projector, screen, microphones), on-site staff, and cleaning — versus what is billed separately. Ask about setup and teardown access windows outside the rented hours, noise curfew, parking arrangements, and accessibility via lift, ramp, and accessible toilets. For wedding solemnisations, confirm whether the venue is a registered ROM solemnisation venue. A site recce before paying the deposit is strongly recommended.

To proceed, contact Lewin Terrace directly by phone to check availability for your event date and format, request a full package breakdown in writing, and arrange a site visit before signing.

What an experience! Small portions, taste concentrated, perfect timing. Nothing was wrong at this dinner. Japanese-French-Fusion can sound a bit pretending, nothing could be wronger. Staff easy but caring, food quality superlative and amazing taste. As I said, the small portions are a concentration of taste. For sure a place to back to.

My friend’s wedding was held in this restaurant. Food and service are superb! The place is cozy and had a rustic style, with enough foliage and wooden tones, which was perfect for our friend’s motif.

It’s not an easily located restaurant but it does have valet service. You will be welcomed by a looong flight of stairs before you reach the entrance of the restaurant. Ambience- soft lighting and modern deco. Comfortable and romantic Table is a bit small for four and we hardly have enough space for the wine glasses. Would be good if they have stools for bags Food - we ordered the set meal of 7 courses. Very happy with the food presentation and taste. You can taste the sincerity and thoughts put in. My favorite would be the foie grad confit set as a pie with a super delicious cherry jam in a cherry shape. The sweetness balanced up with the rich palate and simply unforgettable The Hokkaido wagyu smoked within hay and oregano was so aromatic not affecting the tenderness of the beef. The red wine sauce with a hint of sour makes it an almost perfect meaty piece! Lobster was very juicy and fresh with the buttery broth. Yummy ~~~ Service - the servers were helpful and friendly. Not those overly “atas” and pretentious type who sounds so professional and cold. The chefs came out to give a warmth description of the main course and dessert. Enjoy my time there truly.

Hiding at an old black and white old colonial house near Fort Canning Park. Climbing probably over 80 steps to get to the restaurant which sitting on TOP a small hill overlooking the city. Beautiful ambience and food for business or dating. However the service can be improved as my wine has to be served by myself for many times.. not so attentive as we have to wait for water or drinks. We choose the 10 course meal and the food is very Creative with Japanese - French fusion food. Blending lots of Japanese ingredients with some local flavour. One special dish is using foie gras to cook Bak Kut Teh ! For 10 course dinner cost $200 not too bad ! Lovely but need to have aircon to turn cooker especially we are having wine and may enjoy better !

We came for the set lunch and Oh! Matcha dessert buffet, which was spectacular. The Japanese sweets seemed very authentic. More savoury than sweet, and the flavours were complex and unique (with ingredients like matcha powder, sakura blossoms, goma). The mains were perfect too. Flavour and doneness were on point. There was only one other table here so service was very quick, and the Japanese chef also came out to chat for a bit. The only downside to the restaurant is the location, which is somewhat inaccessible. It's a black and white colonial building located behind the philatelic museum. The entrance to the compound is really nondescript and not easy to spot. There is a flight of steps up, so it's not wheelchair or pram friendly. But once you make your way up, the ambience is very serene and pleasant. I really enjoyed our meal here and would love to return. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Lewin Terrace charge?

Lewin Terrace operates on a package pricing model. In Singapore, function room and heritage-venue rentals of this type are typically structured as per-event packages rather than a straight hourly rate, with pricing varying by day of week, event format, and duration. Small to mid-sized event venue packages generally run S$1,500–8,000+ for a half-day function, with full-day or evening packages for more premium spaces running higher. Confirm what is included in the quoted package: aircon hours, basic A/V (PA, projector, screen), on-site staff, setup and teardown access, and cleaning. Common add-ons include external-caterer corkage (typical S$3–8 per pax), liquor corkage if BYO, extended-hours surcharges (typical 1.5×–2× outside the standard window), and photography or videography permits. GST applies and should be factored into your budget. See the full venue rental cost guide for Singapore →

What capacity and F&B policy does Lewin Terrace have?

Capacity varies significantly by event format — standing cocktail receptions typically accommodate 1.5–2× the number of guests that the same space seats for a banquet round-table arrangement, with theatre seating falling between the two. Contact Lewin Terrace directly to confirm usable capacity for your specific setup before making any assumptions based on the floor area alone. For F&B, confirm whether catering is handled exclusively in-house, whether an external caterer is permitted (with or without a per-pax corkage fee and an approved-caterer list), and whether a Liquor Licence covers bar service on-site. In-house F&B venues typically set a minimum spend per pax in lieu of a hall rental fee. For wedding solemnisations, confirm whether the venue holds ROM registration or whether you will need to arrange a Justice of the Peace separately.

What's the booking and cancellation policy at Lewin Terrace?

A deposit — typically 30–50% of the total package value — is required to secure the date, with the balance usually due 1–2 weeks before the event. Popular Saturday evenings book out 6–12 months ahead, particularly during wedding season in March–April and October–November, so early enquiry is advisable. Before paying the deposit, confirm in writing the noise curfew (typical 10–11pm for venues in or near residential or conservation areas), parking arrangements for guests, accessibility provisions (lift, ramp, accessible toilets), and what happens if a force-majeure event — such as a public-health restriction or severe weather — requires postponement. Reputable venues generally allow rescheduling within 6–12 months without forfeiting the deposit, but the terms vary. A site recce before signing is standard practice and strongly recommended.
