Families considering Little Forest should begin by enquiring about slot availability for their intended start month, as playgroup places can fill quickly, particularly ahead of the January intake. When you make contact — by phone or via the enquiry form — it is worth asking about the child-to-caregiver ratio, the daily routine, and the settling-in period to understand how the programme supports younger children transitioning into a group setting. If your child is a Singapore citizen, ask the centre about eligibility for ECDA subsidies, which can meaningfully reduce out-of-pocket monthly costs depending on household income and the mother's employment status.
To take the next step, reach out to Little Forest directly by phone or through the contact form on their listing to ask about current availability for your preferred start month and to arrange a centre visit before committing.
Visit the centre in person, meet the lead teacher, and read the parent contract before signing.

Actually have nothing but good things to say about LF and Liu Laoshi in particular. We love the mix of fitness, arts, snacks and music each class, really well suited to those who are
We enrolled our 3 year old at Forest Kids from March 2025 till Nov 2025. Thank you for the teachers and friends who helped him adjust to school and for the care and support which always made me and other parents feel welcome. We know it’s goodbye for now but we will see you again. Our hearts are full. Thank you Little Forest.
Both my daughter's have attended Little Forest Mini Troopers and Super Troopers classes for over a year and a half now. Yvie and Zoë are in Miss Claid's Super Troopers class currently, and have been so fortunate to have her since Day 1 ❤️ The love and attention that she has shown both our daughters is truly wonderful. We believe that the teachers are what truly makes or breaks a school, regardless of how detailed the curriculum is, or how fancy the facilities the classes are held in are, it is the teachers who create and maintain that bond with the students and the parents. Miss May and Miss Asy, who also run the classes alongside Miss Claid at Little Forest and have taught my daughter's over the past year and a half, are true testament to what a great teacher is. They are kind, patient and attentive to students, parents and caregivers. Miss Claid, particularly is the sweetest, most bubbly person I've ever met. My daughter's adore her because it's hard not to feel comfortable in her presence. The positivity bounces off her, and that's the kind of person and persona that should be working with small children. She makes everybody feel so welcome, never forgets a child's name, and is always so professional. I can't speak any more highly of her. The Joo Chiat classes are in nice big spacious rooms and very bright. Full of natural sunlight. The field that is attached to the building is huge. So much space for the sports days and water play days. There are also chickens to say hi to as an added bonus :) When Little Forest Super Troopers class timing in Joo Chiat changed, we couldn't continue in that location, however we are so happy that Little Forest has partnered with Kiztopia Prestige to conduct a Friday Super Troopers class! And it's run by the girl's favourite teacher Miss Claid! We keep coming back every week because the girls love the variety of painting, arts and crafts, sensory play, music, story telling and singing in the classes, and they love their teacher. We have compared other providers with similar programs. Have attended many trials but none have hit the mark like Little Forest has. The teachers are ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Curriculum is ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Space & facilities at Joo Chiat ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My daughter's are always fully engaged with the activities. They sing the Little Forest welcome song for fun at home, and can't wait to attend class. We are so truly happy to have found such a great class for our girls. Keep up the amazing work and thank you for all that you do!
My daughter attends the Mini Trooper classes in Little Forest and we always have an amazing time! There are so many activities to keep the little ones entertained, from water play to arts and crafts, as well as fun outdoor activities and many more! It’s great to see a place that offers such a wide variety of experiences for babies and toddlers. The teachers are engaging and the environment felt very safe and welcoming. Highly recommended to try it out!
We are so grateful for our time at Little Forest’s Mini Mandarin class with Ms. May! Baby L is always excited and cheerful in class, and it has been such a joy watching him learn and grow in this environment. As the only baby in the family right now, we cherish every opportunity for him to socialize with little ones his age, and Little Forest has provided the perfect space for that. One of the biggest highlights of the class has been Ms. May, who is incredibly patient and caring. She always handles Baby L’s enthusiasm with so much kindness—whether it’s him rushing to the front to hug “Andy” or eagerly trying to help “teach” the class. It’s clear that she truly enjoys working with the children, and we are so appreciative of her dedication. Beyond that, the entire team at Little Forest is amazing. The teachers are warm, friendly, and passionate about what they do. They always greet Baby L with a smile whenever they see him, making him feel welcome and loved. Thank you, Ms. May, and the Little Forest team for creating such a wonderful learning experience!

Little Forest is priced at the mid-range tier for Singapore playgroup programmes. When you enquire, ask the centre to provide a full written breakdown that includes the monthly programme fee, any one-time registration fee, refundable deposit (typically equivalent to one to two months of fees), and any charges for uniforms or personal accident insurance coverage. Childcare and playgroup fees in Singapore are GST-exempt, so the figure quoted should be your final out-of-pocket amount before subsidies. Always confirm the payment schedule, the notice period required to withdraw, and whether the deposit is refundable on exit. See the full childcare cost guide for Singapore →
Singapore citizen children enrolled in ECDA-licensed childcare and playgroup programmes may be eligible for the Basic Subsidy (up to S$300 per month for childcare) and, if the mother works at least 56 hours per month, the Additional Working Mother's Child Care Subsidy on top of that. For lower-income families, the Additional Subsidy can bring the total combined subsidy up to S$710 per month. Singapore Permanent Resident children are eligible for partial subsidies at a lower quantum. Subsidy eligibility and quantum are subject to change, and the centre must hold the relevant ECDA licence for subsidies to apply. Contact ECDA directly or visit the ECDA website for the most current figures and eligibility criteria before making enrolment decisions based on subsidy amounts. Note: Little Forest does not currently list an ECDA licence in its public profile. Confirm with the centre directly whether it is ECDA-licensed and whether subsidies are applicable.
Playgroup and childcare slots in Singapore, particularly those at well-regarded centres, can fill several months in advance. It is generally advisable to enquire at least three to six months before your intended start date. January is the primary intake month for most programmes, so enquiries for the new year should ideally be made by mid-year at the latest. To secure a place, centres typically require payment of a registration fee and, in some cases, a deposit. These may or may not be refundable if the place is not taken up, so confirm the terms in writing before paying. Contact Little Forest by phone or through the enquiry form to ask about current vacancy for your preferred start month.
