Choosing Little Shepherd Schoolhouse @ COSFX for our two children has been a profound blessing, and we’ve never once regretted this decision. Over the past years, we’ve watched our kids flourish into kind and compassionate individuals under the loving guidance of the teachers, Principal Ms. Angela, and the entire team. This school feels like a true second home, where every staff member pours their heart into nurturing the children, not just academically, but spiritually and emotionally. The faith-based learning here is truly exceptional. Our children are growing in their understanding of God’s love, embracing values like kindness, forgiveness, and gratitude through daily prayers, stories, and meaningful activities that weave faith into their everyday lives. It’s touching to hear them share stories from school and see them practice empathy at home, like showing gratitude for small moments. This nurturing environment has strengthened their foundation in many ways. A special shout-out to Ms. Tina, who welcomed our elder child with such warmth and care when he first joined, making his transition seamless and comforting. Ms. Christine is a blessing, masterfully balancing firm discipline with genuine love, ensuring the children feel secure while inspired to grow. We’re grateful for Principal Ms. Angela, the heart and soul of this school, whose leadership and unwavering dedication create a safe, loving space for every child. Also, not forgetting the auntie who prepares wholesome meals daily, Auntie Bella who’s always there to lend a helping hand and Ms. Elizabeth who keeps the school running smoothly with her administrative support. We’re thankful for this incredible place and recommend it to any parent seeking a nurturing, faith-centered environment for their children.
Really thankful for Little Shepherd’s’ Schoolhouse at St. Francis Xavier. Both of my sons look forward to school everyday. The teachers always go the extra mile. They balance helping the kids, while encouraging them to build their own curiosity and confidence. I love that the school focuses on values, sometimes Catholic-based, and builds healthy habits in such a positive way. The environment feels homely and warm, and the centre leader’s energy really sets the tone for the whole place. The school is very clean and they manage to keep viruses well under control, which gives me a peace of mind. Outdoor spaces are well contained within the church grounds, with little exposure to external dangers. Overall, a wonderful school that I’m glad my children are in!
My 2 kids attend LSS@SFX and I can tell they receive a lot of love and patience from their teachers! Teachers are prompt in updates, and always open to discussions on progress of the kids and how we can work together both in school and at home. My little ones always have great stories to tell about their day in school, and they especially love the songs they learn in school. Even at home they are asking to listen to the songs and stories they've learnt about in school. Faith-based education is also important to us and we are thankful that teachers model these values for the children too. Will definitely recommend this school to parents looking for a compassionate and loving learning environment for their children.
We’ve had a wonderful experience with Little Shepherd Schoolhouse @ Church of SFX. The teachers are truly compassionate and caring, creating a nurturing environment where children feel safe, loved, and supported. It’s clear that each child is valued and guided with patience and kindness. The school environment is welcoming, positive, and thoughtfully designed to support learning and growth. We also deeply appreciate the faith-based approach to education – it’s heartening to see the children being taught values and faith in such a meaningful way, helping them grow not just academically, but spiritually too. We would like to give special thanks to Ms. Monica and Li Laoshi, who have been taking such good care of our little one. We often hear our daughter talk about them with so much joy, and it’s clear they’ve made a big, positive impact on her. A special mention also goes to the centre leader, Ms. Angela, who consistently goes above and beyond to stay connected with parents. She regularly keeps us updated on the school’s happenings, the teachers, and our daughter’s progress. Her dedication and openness truly make a difference and help foster a strong sense of community. We’re grateful to be part of the Little Shepherd Schoolhouse @ Church of SFX's family and would highly recommend it to other parents looking for a warm, faith-centered learning environment for their children.

Singapore citizen children enrolled at licensed childcare centres may qualify for the Basic Subsidy — up to S$600 per month for infant care or S$300 per month for childcare — regardless of household income. Working mothers who clock at least 56 hours per month may also access the Additional Working Mother's Child Care Subsidy on top of this. Permanent resident children receive partial subsidies at lower quantum. Kindergarten Fee Assistance (KiFAS) applies specifically to MoE kindergartens and does not extend to private playgroup programmes. Subsidy amounts and eligibility criteria are reviewed periodically. Always check directly with ECDA at go.gov.sg/ecda for the most current figures before enrolment.
Demand for quality childcare and playgroup places in Singapore can be high, and popular centres are often booked three to twelve months ahead of the intended start date. Infant care vacancies in particular tend to fill quickly. January is typically the peak intake month, so families targeting that period should begin enquiring well in advance. To secure a place, centres generally require a completed registration form together with a registration fee and deposit. Submitting these early is usually the most reliable way to hold a slot. Contact Little Shepherds' Schoolhouse directly via phone or the enquiry form to ask about current availability and any waiting list process.
