Clinic is very clean and cosy. The staff manning the counter are patient and helpful, always willing to explain the breakdown of your treatment and help book your next appointment promptly. Their Tuina Therapist, Shi Cong, is very experienced and knowledgeable. I have only been seeing her for a few sessions, but I have felt significant improvements to my knee & back after having issues with them for many years. Would highly recommend this outlet for the convenience-- it's sheltered all the way from the MRT to the clinic-- and the welcoming staff!

Friendly service and very efficient. I thought it was a good session with Mona and my shoulder was better, but the base of my head hurt for 2 days after.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Ma Kuang Healthcare (Clementi) charge per session?

Specific per-session fees for Ma Kuang Healthcare (Clementi) were not published at the time of listing. In Singapore, a standard TCM consultation typically runs S$20–50, with acupuncture sessions ranging from S$50–120 and herbal prescriptions billed separately at S$30–80 or more depending on the formula. Tui na and cupping sessions generally fall in the S$50–100 range per visit. Many TCM clinics offer package discounts for recurring treatment — confirm whether a multi-session package is available and what the cancellation terms are before committing. First-time consultation fees may differ from follow-up rates, so ask about this when you call. See the full TCM cost guide for Singapore →

Do I need a referral or assessment first?

No GP referral is required to book a TCM consultation in Singapore. At the first visit, the practitioner will conduct an intake assessment covering your presenting symptoms, medical history, current medications, and lifestyle factors. You may also be asked to complete an intake form before the session begins. If you are managing a chronic condition such as diabetes, hypertension, or musculoskeletal pain, informing your GP that you are seeking TCM treatment is good practice to avoid herb-drug interactions. Some Medisave claims under the Chronic Disease Management Programme do require a GP's involvement, so check eligibility in advance if you intend to use Medisave. Patients who are pregnant, on blood-thinning medications, or have a pacemaker should disclose this before acupuncture begins.

Is the practitioner at Ma Kuang Healthcare (Clementi) licensed?

In Singapore, all practising TCM practitioners — including acupuncturists and herbalists — must be registered with the TCM Practitioners Board (TCMPB) under the Ministry of Health. Registration can be verified on the TCMPB's public online register at moh.gov.sg before your appointment. No regulatory licences were listed for Ma Kuang Healthcare (Clementi) in the data available to KakiList at this time. This does not necessarily indicate an absence of registration, but you should confirm the consulting practitioner's TCMPB registration number directly with the clinic before proceeding with treatment. Ma Kuang is a well-established TCM group in Singapore, but verifying the individual practitioner at this specific outlet is still advisable. Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the TCMPB public register before treatment.
