About Ma Kuang Healthcare (Jurong East)

About Ma Kuang Healthcare (Jurong East)

Ma Kuang Healthcare (Jurong East) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) clinic operating islandwide from its City Square Mall location in the Kitchener Road area. KakiList has verified its operating details and contact channels. It holds a 5/5 rating across 76 Google reviews, a moderate sample that lends reasonable weight to the score, though prospective patients are encouraged to read individual reviews for context on specific practitioners and conditions treated.

Patients typically begin with an initial consultation in which the TCM practitioner takes a detailed case history, assesses pulse and tongue presentation, and discusses presenting complaints — whether pain management, digestive issues, women's health, stress-related conditions, or general wellness. From there, a treatment plan is proposed, which may combine acupuncture, herbal prescription, tui na, or cupping depending on the diagnosis. Clarify whether the first visit includes an assessment fee separate from treatment, and confirm the recommended frequency and approximate course length before committing. Cancellation and no-show policies vary by clinic and are worth confirming at the time of booking.

To take the next step, contact Ma Kuang Healthcare (Jurong East) directly via phone or the enquiry form to describe your condition, ask about the relevant practitioner's background, and book an initial consultation.

Clinic is very clean and cosy. The staff manning the counter are patient and helpful, always willing to explain the breakdown of your treatment and help book your next appointment promptly. Their Tuina Therapist, Shi Cong, is very experienced and knowledgeable. I have only been seeing her for a few sessions, but I have felt significant improvements to my knee & back after having issues with them for many years. Would highly recommend this outlet for the convenience-- it's sheltered all the way from the MRT to the clinic-- and the welcoming staff!

Friendly service and very efficient. I thought it was a good session with Mona and my shoulder was better, but the base of my head hurt for 2 days after.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Ma Kuang Healthcare (Jurong East) charge per session?

TCM consultation and treatment fees in Singapore typically range from S$40 to S$120 per session for a combined consultation and acupuncture or tui na treatment, with herbal prescriptions billed separately (commonly S$20–60 per week's supply depending on the formula). First-visit consultations may carry a slightly higher assessment fee. Package rates for a course of six to ten sessions are offered by many TCM clinics and can reduce the per-session cost. Confirm the breakdown — consultation fee, treatment fee, and herbal costs — before your first visit, and check whether your Integrated Shield Plan or corporate health insurance includes TCM reimbursement. MediSave can be used for specific TCM treatments at CHAS-accredited clinics for eligible conditions. See the full TCM cost guide for Singapore →

Do I need a referral or assessment first at Ma Kuang Healthcare (Jurong East)?

No formal GP referral is required to book a TCM consultation. At the first visit, expect to complete an intake form covering your medical history, current medications, allergies, and presenting complaint. The practitioner will conduct a TCM assessment — pulse diagnosis, tongue observation, and a structured case history — before recommending a treatment modality. If you have a complex or chronic condition, or are currently undergoing Western medical treatment, it is advisable to bring a summary of your diagnosis and medications so the TCM practitioner can flag any contraindications, particularly with herbal prescriptions. A GP referral letter can be useful if you intend to claim reimbursement through an insurer or employer health benefit that requires it.

Is the practitioner at Ma Kuang Healthcare (Jurong East) licensed?

TCM practitioners in Singapore must be registered with the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners Board (TCMPB) under the Ministry of Health. Registration is mandatory and publicly verifiable on the TCMPB register at moh.gov.sg — search by the practitioner's full name before your appointment. Registered practitioners are licensed to perform acupuncture and dispense Chinese herbal medicine within the scope defined by the TCM Practitioners Act. No regulatory licences are currently listed for this provider on KakiList. Before booking, ask the clinic for the consulting practitioner's TCMPB registration number and verify it on the public register. Confirm the practitioner's area of specialisation — for instance, fertility, sports injuries, or pain management — to ensure a good fit with your condition.
