Patients typically begin with a first consultation at which the TCM practitioner takes a detailed case history, assesses constitution through tongue and pulse diagnosis, and discusses the presenting condition or wellness goal. From there, a treatment plan is proposed — this may include acupuncture, herbal medicine, tui na, or a combination — with a recommendation on session frequency and whether a recurring package or single sessions better suits the patient's needs. Cancellation and rescheduling policies are worth confirming at the time of booking.
To make an appointment, contact Ma Kuang Healthcare (Tampines) by phone or through the enquiry form, and have your health history and any existing medical reports ready for the first visit.
Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the TCMPB public register before treatment.
Went to visit 2weeks back due to knee injury. Had give double Thumbs up to Dr Chang Shun Yee for great explanation and also skills in treating my pains. She was very patient & skilful in her work. She also conversed effectively in both english & chinese. Helpful in understanding the body’s signals. Will recommend!
Clinic is very clean and cosy. The staff manning the counter are patient and helpful, always willing to explain the breakdown of your treatment and help book your next appointment promptly. Their Tuina Therapist, Shi Cong, is very experienced and knowledgeable. I have only been seeing her for a few sessions, but I have felt significant improvements to my knee & back after having issues with them for many years. Would highly recommend this outlet for the convenience-- it's sheltered all the way from the MRT to the clinic-- and the welcoming staff!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Mona is an excellent therapist — professional and very attentive. The front desk staff are also friendly and welcoming. Overall a great experience, highly recommended
The clinic is modern and neat. Dr. Mou is patient, kind and a very experienced doctor. Would highly recommend anyone seeking a good TCM physician to visit and seek her guidance.
Friendly service and very efficient. I thought it was a good session with Mona and my shoulder was better, but the base of my head hurt for 2 days after.

TCM consultation fees in Singapore typically run S$20–50 for the consultation itself, with acupuncture sessions ranging from S$40–100 and herbal medicine priced separately by prescription. Package pricing — for instance, a course of six to ten acupuncture sessions — often works out at a lower per-session rate than booking individually. Confirm the first-consultation fee, whether a separate assessment charge applies, and the no-show or short-notice cancellation policy before booking. Ma Kuang Healthcare (Tampines) uses a mid-range pricing indicator ($$), suggesting rates in line with the market norm for a clinic-based TCM provider. Contact the clinic directly for current session fees and package options. See the full TCM cost guide for Singapore →
No GP referral is required to book a TCM consultation — you can contact the clinic directly by phone or enquiry form. At the first visit, expect to complete an intake form covering your medical history, current medications, and presenting concerns. The practitioner will then conduct a diagnostic assessment (tongue, pulse, and questioning) before recommending a treatment approach. If you have complex or chronic conditions, bringing any recent blood test results, imaging reports, or specialist letters helps the practitioner build a fuller picture. Certain conditions — for example, those requiring anticoagulant management or involving pregnancy — may benefit from informing your GP that you are undertaking TCM treatment concurrently, though this is advisory rather than mandatory.
In Singapore, TCM practitioners must be registered with the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners Board (TCMPB) under the Ministry of Health. Registration covers acupuncturists and TCM physicians separately, and you can verify any practitioner's registration on the TCMPB public register at the Ministry of Health website before your appointment. Ma Kuang Healthcare is a well-established TCM group in Singapore. Nonetheless, it is good practice to confirm the name and TCMPB registration number of the specific practitioner who will be treating you at the Tampines (City Square Mall) outlet, particularly if you are seeking a practitioner with experience in a specific area such as fertility, musculoskeletal conditions, or oncology support.
