Went to visit 2weeks back due to knee injury. Had give double Thumbs up to Dr Chang Shun Yee for great explanation and also skills in treating my pains. She was very patient & skilful in her work. She also conversed effectively in both english & chinese. Helpful in understanding the body’s signals. Will recommend!
Clinic is very clean and cosy. The staff manning the counter are patient and helpful, always willing to explain the breakdown of your treatment and help book your next appointment promptly. Their Tuina Therapist, Shi Cong, is very experienced and knowledgeable. I have only been seeing her for a few sessions, but I have felt significant improvements to my knee & back after having issues with them for many years. Would highly recommend this outlet for the convenience-- it's sheltered all the way from the MRT to the clinic-- and the welcoming staff!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Mona is an excellent therapist — professional and very attentive. The front desk staff are also friendly and welcoming. Overall a great experience, highly recommended
The clinic is modern and neat. Dr. Mou is patient, kind and a very experienced doctor. Would highly recommend anyone seeking a good TCM physician to visit and seek her guidance.
Friendly service and very efficient. I thought it was a good session with Mona and my shoulder was better, but the base of my head hurt for 2 days after.

Ma Kuang Healthcare (Toa Payoh) is priced at a mid-range tier, though specific per-session fees are not publicly listed and should be confirmed directly with the clinic. In Singapore, TCM consultations typically run S$20–50, acupuncture S$40–100 per session, and Tui Na or cupping S$40–80. Herbal medicine is billed separately, usually S$20–60 per prescription depending on the herbs prescribed. Confirm whether a first-consultation fee applies, whether packages are available, and what the cancellation or no-show policy is before booking. See the full TCM cost guide for Singapore →
No formal referral is required to book a TCM consultation at Ma Kuang Healthcare (Toa Payoh). Most patients self-refer, though bringing any existing medical reports, imaging results, or specialist letters is useful for chronic or complex conditions, and may strengthen an insurance or Medisave claim where applicable. The first visit typically includes a full intake — tongue and pulse diagnosis, medical history review, and a discussion of your treatment goals. Be prepared to describe the duration, severity, and pattern of your symptoms. Patients with contraindications such as pregnancy, bleeding disorders, or implanted medical devices should disclose these before acupuncture or Tui Na is performed. A GP referral is not required for TCM, but having one can be helpful if you plan to claim under an integrated shield plan or employer medical benefits that require documented referral.
In Singapore, all practising TCM physicians must be registered with the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners Board (TCMPB) under the Ministry of Health. Registration is mandatory by law and covers acupuncturists and TCM physicians who perform acupuncture; Tui Na and herbal medicine practitioners are also expected to meet TCMPB standards. You can verify any practitioner's registration on the TCMPB public register at moh.gov.sg before your appointment. Ma Kuang Healthcare is an established TCM group with multiple outlets in Singapore. If you wish to confirm the registration of the specific physician who will treat you at the Toa Payoh (City Square) branch, request their full name and TCMPB registration number at the time of booking and cross-check on the register. Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
