When engaging a maid agency in Singapore, the process typically begins with selecting between a new-hire helper and a transfer helper already in Singapore — transfer placements are generally faster and less expensive. You will want to confirm the monthly salary for your preferred source country (Indonesia, Philippines, Myanmar, and Sri Lanka are the most common), the monthly MOM levy (S$300 standard, or S$60 concessionary if your household includes a child under 16, an elderly member aged 67 or above, or a person with disability), and what is bundled into the placement fee — mandatory FDW insurance, the Settling-In Programme, medical examination, and Work Permit application should each be accounted for. A replacement guarantee window and the repatriation cost on early termination are also worth clarifying before signing.
Contact Mabuhay Employment Agency by phone to discuss your household's requirements, preferred source country, and expected start date, and request a written fee schedule before paying any deposit.

Avoid this agency at all costs. They agreed to issue a 50% refund when I allowed my helper to return to the agency to look for another employer. After paying for my helper's levy for 3 weeks, she found an employer and the agency stopped responding to my messages and calls to issue a refund for the agency fee and insurance claim after they ran out of excuses for why they are delaying the refund. I know am filing a case against them with MOM and Small Claims Tribunal but this is an unecessary headache to deal with when there are so many reputable agencies in Singapore. Avoid avoid avoid.
Love the service provided by Stephanie! She is very professional and honest. She tried her best to find us a great match, gave me very useful information, and even helped me to deal with my previous helper messy transfer problems. I’ll say it worth every penny! I am very glad with the new helper she chose for me. As a employer, this agency is the one that provide services I need, instead of trying to match up unsuitable helpers to employers just for the $$…. Must find Stephanie if you go there!
Stephanie (and Mabuhay agency) is absolutely someone you can trust if you're looking for a great quality maid in Singapore. She's always responsive, even at late night when I needed to ask her something. She took care of all aspects when we were searching for our maid and she helped us to find such a wonderful maid who we appreciate a lot! Thank you Stephanie for your kindness and help!
After paying the deposit, we had to chase the agent at every step (status for POEA, OEC, flight to SIN etc) for almost 2.5months, only to be told two weeks before scheduled flight that the helper has pulled out of the application. No doubt the agent was responsive, but there were always reasons for delay which we were never able to verify. Till date, no document has been shown, so we can't verify the truth as well. The agent then tried to push seemingly a reject as a replacement, on the account that the employer dropped her last minute and helper is now readily available. The agent has strong reasoning skills and tried to snake out all the time. Employers beware. Not worth wasting your time on this agency. With this, I trust agent will refute brilliantly as well.
I strongly recommend Mabuhay Employmemt Agency! Special mention to Ms.Stephanie, she is so responsive, efficient and trustworthy. I am very satisfied with their service. Lines are always available and they are all very accommodating. Pricing is also reasonable. In fact, I recommended Mabuhay Agency to my friend. We wish this company more success!

Mabuhay Employment Agency presents mid-range pricing, though specific placement fees were not published at the time of this listing. As a general guide, new-hire placements at Singapore maid agencies typically cost S$1,500–3,500, while transfer helper placements run S$500–1,500. On top of the placement fee, you will pay your helper's monthly salary (typically S$550–800 depending on nationality and experience) and the monthly MOM levy (S$300 standard, or S$60 concessionary for eligible households). Confirm what is bundled into the quoted fee — mandatory FDW insurance (~S$300–600/year), the Settling-In Programme, medical exam, and Work Permit application — versus what is billed separately. Request a full written breakdown before paying. See the full maid agency cost guide for Singapore →
Every legitimate maid agency in Singapore must hold an MOM Employment Agency (EA) Licence, which is publicly verifiable on MOM's online EA directory by agency name or licence number. The licence number should appear on the agency's website, contracts, and invoices. No MOM EA Licence was recorded in this listing's data — you should verify the licence directly on MOM's EA directory before paying any deposit or signing a contract. EA Grading runs from A+ to C; agencies rated A+ or A have stronger compliance and complaint-handling records. Engaging an unlicensed agent is illegal, leaves you with no recourse if a helper absconds or the agency folds, and can void your FDW insurance. Verify the EA Licence number on MOM's online EA directory before paying any deposit, and read the agency contract's replacement, refund, and early-termination clauses.
The standard replacement window at most Singapore maid agencies is six months from the helper's arrival date, with one to two free replacements included. It is important to confirm what circumstances void the guarantee — documented mismatch or helper unsuitability is typically covered, whereas a change of mind by the employer may not be. Also clarify the early-termination process should the placement break down outside the guarantee window. The household bears the cost of the repatriation flight, any unused levy refund processing, and Work Permit cancellation paperwork. Ask Mabuhay Employment Agency to set out the replacement, refund, and early-termination terms in writing before you commit.
