Patients typically begin with an initial consultation during which the practitioner takes a full case history, assesses tongue and pulse, and identifies the underlying pattern of imbalance before recommending a treatment course. TCM modalities commonly offered at such clinics include acupuncture, cupping, tuina (therapeutic massage), moxibustion, and herbal prescriptions. Depending on the presenting condition — pain management, stress, digestive issues, fertility support, or general wellness — the practitioner may recommend a series of sessions rather than a single visit. Patients are advised to confirm the clinic's areas of specialism, the estimated number of sessions required, and the cancellation policy before proceeding.
To make an appointment, contact MacPherson TCM & Wellness Clinic by phone or through the enquiry form listed on its KakiList profile, and ask specifically about the practitioner's registration with the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners Board (TCMPB) before booking.
Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
This review is long overdue! Life with a little one has kept me busy, but I wanted to finally share my gratitude for Dr. Kong and his wonderful team. I first sought help from Dr. Kong to manage my hyperthyroid condition during pregnancy, which carried a higher risk of miscarriage. I am so thankful for his meticulous care and expertise during such a critical time. While he is a man of few words—and I did occasionally wonder if I should stick with it—I am so glad I trusted the process. I also want to give a special thanks to the reception team for their warm and friendly welcome at every visit. Thanks to everyone here, I now have a healthy, active little boy!
I had a very good experience at this clinic. Dr Kong is extremely patient and listens attentively to all my concerns. During each consultation, he carefully adjusted my medication based on the side effects I shared, which made me feel well cared for. Seeing the positive result during my TTC, I continued his treatment throughout my first trimester of pregnancy for added support and reassurance. He also puts in great effort to ensure the clinic is clean and well disinfected, which gave me a lot of confidence. The two clinic staff are very nice, friendly, and helpful as well. Highly recommended.
I’ve had a great experience at MacPherson TCM and Wellness Clinic. I initially visited for knee joint pain and saw significant improvement within just a few sessions of tuina and acupuncture. The pain I felt reduced drastically and it has stayed that way since then. I then continued treatment for fertility support and noticed positive changes, including better overall wellbeing and increased energy. I also managed to conceive successfully within a few weeks of going through the treatment despite trying for many months with no success previously. Dr Kong is professional, attentive, and takes the time to follow up on symptoms, while the staff are always friendly and welcoming. I truly appreciate the care and expertise provided here and would highly recommend this clinic.
I’m incredibly grateful to Dr Kong for helping me through my entire fertility and pregnancy journey. He embraces the combination of both Western Medicine and TCM and gives professional advice and skills. He is patient and understanding which I really appreciate.
I got recommended to MacPherson TCM wellness by a friend and decided to give a try for fertility help. Can't be more grateful to Dr Kong, who is a very patient TCM practitioner and always provides helpful advice. His methods even though it takes time are proven very effective. My wife and I after consulting him for 5 months managed to get pregnant successfully! During the treatment, I had to take medicine 2x a day while my wife had to do the same with added acupuncture. After 5 months, I saw improved fertility results for myself and my wife upon getting pregnant, had the smoothest first trimester without any morning sickness. I highly recommend to anyone who is looking for TCM advice for fertility or just in general to give this clinic a try. Trust the process.

TCM clinics in Singapore typically charge S$30–80 for a consultation, with individual treatments such as acupuncture, cupping, or tuina running S$40–120 per session. Herbal prescriptions are billed separately, usually S$20–60 per week depending on the formula. Package deals for recurring conditions (e.g. six or ten sessions) are common and reduce the per-session rate. Confirm the first-consultation fee, whether the consultation charge is separate from the treatment fee, and the no-show or cancellation policy before booking. MacPherson TCM & Wellness Clinic has not published a specific price list in this directory — contact the clinic directly for current rates. See the full TCM cost guide for Singapore →
No GP referral is required to visit a TCM clinic in Singapore. At the first appointment, the practitioner will conduct an intake assessment covering your medical history, current medications, lifestyle, and presenting complaint. Some conditions — for example, patients on blood thinners, those who are pregnant, or those with complex chronic illness — require the practitioner to adjust or avoid certain modalities such as acupuncture or cupping. While a GP referral is not mandatory, having one can help if you plan to claim against a corporate insurance policy or Integrated Shield Plan, as some insurers require a referral letter for reimbursement of TCM expenses. Bring any recent medical reports or imaging if your condition has been previously investigated — this helps the TCM practitioner contextualise their assessment alongside conventional findings.
In Singapore, all practising TCM physicians must be registered with the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners Board (TCMPB) under the Ministry of Health. Registration is mandatory and verifiable on the TCMPB public register at moh.gov.sg — you can search by the practitioner's name or registration number before your appointment. No practitioner licences have been submitted to this KakiList listing for MacPherson TCM & Wellness Clinic. Before booking, ask the clinic directly for the consulting physician's TCMPB registration number and verify it on the public register. This step takes under two minutes and confirms the practitioner has met Singapore's statutory training and examination requirements for TCM practice. Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
