About MaidBook Employment Agency

About MaidBook Employment Agency

MaidBook Employment Agency operates from Upper Bukit Timah Road and offers islandwide helper placement services in Singapore. The listing is KakiList-verified, meaning operating details and contact channels have been confirmed by a real person. MaidBook holds a 3.8 out of 5 rating across 20 Google reviews — a borderline sample size, so treat this as directional rather than conclusive. No regulatory licences are recorded in this listing, and ACRA registration has not been confirmed, which limits the confidence of this profile.

When engaging MaidBook, the process typically begins with discussing whether you need a new-hire helper or a transfer helper — the placement fee and timeline differ significantly between the two. You would also confirm source-country preferences (Indonesia, Philippines, Myanmar, or Sri Lanka), the helper's expected monthly salary (typically S$550–800 depending on nationality and experience), and your household's MOM levy obligation (S$300 standard, or S$60 concessionary if your household includes a child under 16, an elderly member aged 67 or above, or a person with disability). A legitimate agency should bundle the Settling-In Programme, Work Permit application, medical examination, and FDW insurance into a clearly itemised package, with the replacement guarantee window and repatriation costs explained in writing before you sign.

To proceed, reach out to MaidBook via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form to request a full written quotation and confirm their MOM Employment Agency Licence number — then verify that number independently on MOM's online EA directory before paying any deposit.

PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS AGENCY! Please Do Not Use this agency! Please Do Not use this agency! Important thing must repeat 3 times! Poor service I have ever used! Recommended an ex-Malaysia helper to us was the nightmare started! Didn’t ever acted like an experienced helper at all. Ran away 2 time within 10months, many dramas during these 10months usage! Agency doesn’t have any ways to deal with this helper! At the end of the story, sent the helper back without any replacement from this agency within a year! End of this drama story by 10months! Wast money, waste energy, waste time to deal with!

Very unscrupulous agency. Already no more contract with me and helper. Helper with me for 5 years and stole money from us, when i wanted to send helper back to hometown, this agency tried to interfere, even after telling her that helper stole money from us, she was extremely hostile. Deal with her at your own risk. Will never ever trust this agency.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does MaidBook Employment Agency charge?

Placement fees at MaidBook will depend on whether you are hiring a new helper from overseas or a transfer helper already in Singapore. New-hire placements typically cost S$1,500–3,500 in agency fees; transfer placements are generally lower at S$500–1,500. On top of the placement fee, budget for the helper's monthly salary (S$550–800 depending on nationality and experience) and the monthly MOM levy (S$300 standard, or the S$60 concessionary rate if your household qualifies). Confirm in writing exactly what the quoted fee includes — mandatory FDW insurance (approximately S$300–600 per year), the Settling-In Programme, medical examination, and Work Permit application fees are sometimes bundled and sometimes charged separately. Is MaidBook Employment Agency MOM-licensed?

Every legitimate maid agency in Singapore must hold a MOM Employment Agency (EA) Licence, which is publicly verifiable on MOM's online EA directory by agency name or licence number. The licence number should appear on the agency's website, all contracts, and invoices. No regulatory licence is currently recorded in MaidBook's KakiList profile, and ACRA registration is also unconfirmed — these are material gaps that you should resolve before paying any deposit. EA Grading runs from A+ to C; A+ and A agencies have stronger compliance and complaint-handling track records. Hiring through an unlicensed agent is illegal, leaves you with no recourse if problems arise, and can void your FDW insurance. Verify MaidBook's EA Licence number directly on MOM's online EA directory before proceeding.

What replacement guarantee does MaidBook Employment Agency offer?

A standard replacement guarantee covers a defined window — typically six months from the helper's arrival date — and specifies how many free replacements are included within that period. Ask MaidBook explicitly what triggers a valid replacement claim (documented performance or conduct issues versus general dissatisfaction) and what voids the guarantee entirely. Also clarify the early-termination process before signing. If a placement breaks down outside the guarantee window, the household bears the cost of the repatriation flight, MOM Work Permit cancellation, and any unused levy or insurance refunds. Understanding these costs upfront avoids surprises. Get the replacement policy, refund terms, and early-termination clauses in writing as part of the agency contract before committing.
