About Mandarin Oriental Singapore

About Mandarin Oriental Singapore

Mandarin Oriental Singapore is a venue rental provider located at 5 Raffles Ave., Singapore 039797, in the Marina Bay area. It is KakiList-verified and holds a 4.6/5 rating across 7,514 Google reviews — a robust sample that provides meaningful confidence in service quality. When considering Mandarin Oriental Singapore as your event venue, the key details to confirm are capacity by format — standing cocktail, banquet round-table, and theatre seating each yield different numbers, with cocktail capacity typically running 1.5–2× the banquet seated figure. Clarify whether F&B is in-house only or whether external caterers are permitted (and if so, whether a corkage fee applies or an approved-caterer list is in place). Confirm A/V provision — PA system, projector, screen, microphones, and lighting — alongside aircon hours, noise curfew, and the setup and teardown access windows, which are often outside the rented period. Check parking arrangements, lift and ramp accessibility, and whether the venue holds registered ROM solemnisation status if you are planning a wedding. For any alcohol service, ask about the bar arrangement and Liquor Licence.

To take the next step, contact Mandarin Oriental Singapore by phone or via the enquiry form to check date availability, request a floor plan with capacity figures for your specific event format, and arrange a site recce before paying any deposit.

The hotel service has been exceptional throughout our stay. We were upgraded on arrival, and the team even left a cake in our room for our belated anniversary, which was a thoughtful touch. The rooms are beautifully done and very comfortable. The buffet is consistently well stocked and tasty. The spa staff are welcoming and provide attentive service from start to finish. I had my nails done and a massage with Vivi, which was a highlight of my stay. Her massage was skilled and effective—she worked through the tension in my upper back, and I slept very well that night. Vivi is friendly, easy-going, and professional, and I would happily recommend her.

Great hotel with recent renovations. All the staff are very polite and professional. Breakfast is great, although I would only recommend to add chicken rice as many other hotels do. Pool side food is amazing (satay and friends in particular). The hotel is connected to Marina square which is very convenient. I would also like to add that the housekeeping (cleaning) service was flawless, each and every day. The only downside - the price was significantly increased after renovations. While it is understandable, I think it will discourage customers to come more frequently, and only visit during special occasions or celebrations. After all, the rooms are not particularly superior than other hotels except for the MBS view. Considering the money for quality - I would give it 4 maybe even a 3.

Our experience was exceptional. The hotel is beautiful, and impeccably maintained. The standard of customer service that your staff provide is absolutely outstanding. The food that we experienced was also of a great quality and we thoroughly enjoyed everything that we had. I will highly recommend your hotel to friends, family and colleagues. Thank you for making our holiday to Singapore so special.

We stayed at Mandarin Oriental Singapore for the final nights of our honeymoon, and it is without question one of the finest hotels we have ever experienced. True five-star service is rare, yet this property delivers it effortlessly. From the moment we were warmly greeted by Christian on arrival, the service was seamless, polished, and genuinely attentive through to our departure. A special thank you to Caesar for his thoughtful recommendations and guidance on exploring Singapore which made our stay even more memorable. Housekeeping and turndown were flawless, the amenities and food were of exceptional quality, and the pool overlooking the bay was a highlight. A standout hotel that sets the benchmark for luxury hospitality - the perfect way to end our honeymoon. We cannot wait to return.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Mandarin Oriental Singapore charge?

Mandarin Oriental Singapore prices its event spaces on a package basis rather than a simple hourly rate, which is typical for hotel ballrooms and function rooms at this tier. Full-day ballroom packages in Singapore generally run S$8,000–30,000+ depending on room size, configuration, and the day of the week, while smaller function rooms may be priced from S$1,500–8,000+ for a half-day. The quoted package rate typically covers the room, basic A/V (PA, projector, screen), and on-site staff. Confirm what is billed separately: external-caterer corkage (typical S$3–8/pax if permitted), in-house F&B minimum spend, liquor corkage, extended-hours surcharges, setup and teardown access outside the rented window, and any photography or videography permit fees. Contact Mandarin Oriental Singapore directly for a current rate card and to confirm whether GST and service charge are inclusive or added on top. See the full Venue Rental cost guide for Singapore →

What capacity and F&B policy does Mandarin Oriental Singapore have?

Capacity varies significantly by event format — standing cocktail receptions typically accommodate 1.5–2× the banquet seated figure, while theatre seating falls between the two. Before committing, request the floor plan and confirm the maximum headcount for your specific layout, including stage, dance floor, or exhibition requirements that reduce usable floor space. As a full-service hotel, Mandarin Oriental Singapore typically operates with in-house F&B, meaning catering is provided by the hotel's kitchen rather than external caterers. Confirm whether a minimum spend per pax applies and how this interacts with the room hire fee. Ask about the wine and spirits arrangement — house pours, a curated list, or BYO with corkage — and whether menu tasting is included in the package. For wedding solemnisations, confirm whether the venue is a registered ROM solemnisation site or whether you need to arrange a Justice of the Peace separately.

What's the booking and cancellation policy at Mandarin Oriental Singapore?

Popular Saturday evenings — particularly during wedding season (March–April and October–November) — typically book out 6–12 months ahead at sought-after hotel venues. Securing your date usually requires a deposit of 30–50% on signing, with the balance due 1–2 weeks before the event. Confirm in writing the noise curfew (typical 10–11pm for hotel venues near residential or mixed-use areas), parking arrangements for guests, lift and ramp accessibility, and setup and teardown access windows — hotel venues often restrict these to defined slots outside the rented period, which affects your caterer, decorator, and AV crew timelines. Ask specifically about the force-majeure and postponement policy: reputable hotels generally allow rescheduling within 6–12 months without forfeiting the deposit when the disruption is outside your control. A site recce during a comparable event setup is the best way to assess the space before paying.
