About Mind What Matters
Mind What Matters is a counselling practice located at 121 Devonshire Road, Singapore, offering services islandwide. It holds KakiList verification, meaning operating details and contact channels have been confirmed by a real person. The practice carries a 4.8-star rating across 21 Google reviews — a moderate sample that suggests consistent client satisfaction, though prospective clients should weigh it accordingly.
Engaging with a counselling practice typically begins with an initial enquiry to discuss your presenting concerns, whether those involve anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, grief, or life transitions. From there, a first consultation allows the practitioner to conduct a brief intake, understand your goals, and determine whether their approach is a good fit for your needs. Clients can reach Mind What Matters via WhatsApp, phone, or the contact form. It is worth asking about session frequency, whether individual, couples, or family counselling is offered, the therapeutic modality used (for example, CBT, psychodynamic, or person-centred approaches), session duration, and the cancellation policy. Package pricing versus single-session billing is also worth clarifying upfront.
To take the next step, reach out through WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form to describe your situation briefly and request an initial consultation appointment.
Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
My therapist Mark is competent, sympathetic and sincere. The place is serene and all the staff members are polite and kind. Price is on the upper range but it’s worth every penny for my mental health and personal development.
From my time that i have suicidal thought, to my ups and downs. Which i suffer huge downfall. Mind what Matters Psychology has help me alot, Ms Celine was helpfull and goes beyond through her expertise and advice. Let it out, and they willing to help you out just like me. The journey of my downfall, and the journey i bounce back up. Thank you not for the service but the help that everyone in the team at Mind what Matter do, to go beyond than that.
The staff were all quite friendly with ease of communication through WhatsApp. Before sessions I usually order a cuppa latte which they make themselves which I typically enjoy drinking. They also have other variety of drinks like tea and Milo. The therapist that I had sessions with was very helpful and always listened attentively as I shared. I felt safe during my sessions and was willing to be vulnerable. The staff also offered me drinks to take-away after sessions and they have a cute cup with Mindwhatmatters logo on it!
It's only been my second session with Clarice but I'm already feeling so happy and grateful to what we have uncovered about myself. I used to have bad experiences with therapy and it took me alot of courage to try it again and I'm so thankful I did with Mind What Matters. In fact, I'm looking forward to more sessions here. In the two sessions, Clarice never once make feel like I was a patient that needed to be treated, she made me feel like she's just a guide to help me understand my feelings and thoughts with more clarity. Not everyone needs to be treated, but we all need a good guide in our life. I would strongly recommend this place to anyone having a little struggle! 😁
Mind What Matters' got a bunch of excellent psychologists and counselors available to help and support people in need. It's my first time to see psychologist in Singapore and it's a great experience. Take the first step to help yourself by letting others to help you.

Mind What Matters displays a mid-range pricing tier ($$), though exact session fees are not publicly listed. Singapore counselling rates typically run S$100–180 per 50-minute individual session at private practices, with couples or family sessions often priced higher. A first consultation may carry a separate intake fee or be priced at the standard session rate — confirm this when booking. Ask whether package rates are available for multiple sessions, whether a sliding-scale or concession rate applies for lower-income clients, and what the cancellation and no-show policy is. GST may apply depending on the practice's GST registration status. See the full counselling cost guide for Singapore →
Most private counselling practices in Singapore, including those focused on general mental health and life issues, do not require a GP referral to book a first appointment. You can contact Mind What Matters directly to arrange an initial session. That said, if you are claiming through a corporate Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), MediShield Life, or an integrated shield plan, your insurer may require a formal referral or a specific diagnosis code — check your policy before booking. For more complex clinical conditions such as severe depression, psychosis, or personality disorders, a psychiatrist referral and co-management arrangement may be more appropriate than standalone counselling.
Counselling in Singapore is not yet a statutorily regulated profession in the same way as physiotherapy or TCM, meaning there is no mandatory government licence required to practise. However, reputable counsellors typically hold membership or accreditation with the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC) or the Singapore Psychological Society (SPS), which require minimum training standards and adherence to a code of ethics. Before booking, ask the practitioner directly about their academic qualifications (a master's degree in counselling or psychology is the benchmark), their professional association membership, their years of clinical experience, and their area of specialisation. Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
