About MINT Museum of Toys

About MINT Museum of Toys

MINT Museum of Toys is a venue rental option in Singapore, listed on KakiList and located at 26 Seah St in the Bras Basah–City Hall area. It holds a 4.5/5 rating across 1,618 Google reviews — a robust sample that provides a reliable indication of visitor and event-client sentiment. Pricing is positioned in the mid-range ($$) on a package basis, though prospective clients should request a full written quote to understand exactly what each package includes.

Enquiries typically begin with confirming the event format — standing cocktail, banquet round-table, or theatre seating — and the headcount, as usable capacity varies significantly by layout. Given the museum setting, clients should clarify whether in-house food and beverage is offered exclusively, whether an external caterer is permitted (and if so, whether a corkage fee applies or an approved-caterer list is in place), and what audio-visual provision is included in the package — PA system, projector, screen, microphones, and lighting. It is also worth confirming aircon hours, noise curfew, and accessibility provisions such as lift access and accessible toilets. Setup and teardown access windows are often outside the rented time slot and should be confirmed before signing. The museum's heritage-building environment may also carry specific photography or display-interaction policies relevant to event planners.

To take the next step, contact MINT Museum of Toys directly via phone or the enquiry form on their listing to request a venue package, confirm capacity for your specific event format, and arrange a site recce before paying any deposit.

We always enjoy visiting MINT with the kids — there’s always something new to discover, especially the unique vintage toy collections and their stories. We recently joined the Valentine’s Day kite-making activity and had such a lovely time together!

The museum is spread in a small 5-storey shophouse type of building opposite the iconic Raffles Hotel. It feels more like a private home-turned gallery. Well curated collections of toys that travel back in time. There is some play area where the family and play some games. Depending on your interest, it could make a quick 1 hour visit, or spread into a lazy and slow afternoon.

I enjoyed my time at the museum :) It was interesting to see a variety of traditional toys, some of which were part of my childhood growing up. I also attended the vday kite making workshop with my partner. The staff were all very friendly, shoutout to Anna for the warm welcome and hospitality :-)

Small but impactful 5-floor exhibition on toys from so many perspectives. I appreciate the effort to make the experience interactive and memorable. Highly recommend for anyone who want to heal their inner child. I had so much fun.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does MINT Museum of Toys charge?

MINT Museum of Toys uses a package pricing model, positioned in the mid-range ($$) for Singapore venue rentals. Function rooms and unique museum spaces in Singapore typically run S$100–500 per hour with a 2–4 hour minimum, or are priced as per-event packages starting from S$1,500–8,000+ for a half-day at a small or mid-sized venue. Itemise carefully before signing: confirm what is included in the package — aircon hours, basic A/V, on-site staff, cleaning — versus what is billed separately, such as extended-hours surcharges, external-caterer corkage (typical S$3–8 per pax), liquor corkage if BYO, and setup or teardown time outside the rented window. Request a fully itemised written quote before committing. See the full Venue Rental cost guide for Singapore →

What capacity and F&B policy does MINT Museum of Toys have?

Capacity at MINT Museum of Toys will depend on the specific space hired and the event format. As a general guide, standing cocktail arrangements accommodate roughly 1.5–2 times the banquet seated headcount, with theatre seating falling between the two. Confirm the usable floor plan with the venue team, as museum display fixtures may affect layout flexibility. For food and beverage, clarify whether catering must be sourced in-house, whether an external caterer is permitted (with or without a corkage fee per pax), and whether there is an approved-caterer list. For events involving alcohol, confirm whether a bar service or liquor licence is in place. Wedding solemnisations should verify whether MINT is a registered ROM venue or whether a Justice of the Peace must be arranged separately.

What's the booking and cancellation policy at MINT Museum of Toys?

Most Singapore venues require a deposit of 30–50% on signing to secure the date, with the balance due 1–2 weeks before the event. Popular Saturday evening slots, particularly in wedding season (March–April and October–November), can book out 6–12 months in advance. Before paying the deposit, confirm the noise curfew (typical 10–11pm in city-fringe or mixed-use buildings), parking arrangements near Seah Street, accessibility provisions (lift, ramp, accessible toilets), and what happens if a force-majeure event requires postponement — reputable venues typically allow rescheduling within 6–12 months without forfeiting the deposit. A site recce during business hours before committing is strongly recommended. Do a site recce, confirm capacity for your specific event format (cocktail / banquet / theatre), and put the F&B policy, A/V inclusions, noise curfew, setup/teardown access, and rescheduling terms in writing before paying the deposit.
