Families interested in enrolling should begin by enquiring about slot availability for their intended start month, as places — particularly for younger age groups — can fill quickly. When you contact the centre, ask about the child-to-caregiver ratio, the structure of the daily routine, and the settling-in approach used to help children transition comfortably. A centre visit is strongly recommended so you can observe the environment and speak with the lead teacher directly. If your child holds Singapore citizenship, ask whether the programme qualifies for ECDA childcare subsidies, as eligibility depends on the centre's licence status and your household circumstances. Note that no ECDA licence is currently listed for this provider, so it is worth confirming regulatory status before proceeding.
To take the next step, reach out to Montessori for Children via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form to ask about current vacancies, arrange a centre visit, and request a full written breakdown of monthly fees, registration charges, and any deposit required.
Visit the centre in person, meet the lead teacher, and read the parent contract before signing.

Picking MFC NEWTON for our child's early education was the best decision we could have made. You walk into the classroom and you can feel the warmth and intention that has gone into creating a 'prepared environment' for the children. The school truly exudes the Montessori philosophy. Our daughter blossomed into an independent, self-sufficient and confident person under the care of the teachers. They channelised her curiosity and guided her need for hands-on learning beautifully! The teachers are the heart of this school. Warm, attentive and dedicated, they direct the child's learning but also give plenty of room for self-correction. The learning material and phases are well thought of and when your child comes home to fill you in on the wealth of information she has gathered from school, you end up learning too! =) The teachers are observant of the child and present lessons at the right time helping in individual development. I was absolutely carefree when it came to my child's learning and development because I knew she was well taken care of. The mixed age classroom is tremendously helpful with a child's development. The children get to be learners and mentors. The school takes into consideration the child's needs and they do their best to nurture and accomodate. MFC will always have our gratitude and heart and will stay unmatched! Highly recommended.
An amazing school for children. My daughter started when she was 2 years old and I started noticing the immense growth soon enough. She had started conversing, picking up words, became more social and independent. The teachers are fantastic and I felt safe and happy leaving her in their care. I have seen parents put all their children in this school and it is for the right reason. The teachers, the staff and the Principal and very kind and open minded. I am grateful to have found this school and would highly recommend to the parents to just close their eyes and choose this school!
My daughter started in Montessori for Children Newton Campus early 2024. We definitely grateful for finding this school for our daughter. Despite travelling 45 minutes everyday (bus or mrt journey) or 25 minutes driving from our house. We are very thankful for this school. My daughter when she started, she doesn't even know how to read. And she just graduated couple of weeks ago knowing she is in advanced stage of reading. Every single day my daughter would cuddle her teachers to say goodbye. Everyday whenever I picked her up, I can see how happy my daughter. She loves alll the teachers even their principal Miss Irene. We can see how dedicated all teachers, administrators and everyone that parts of the school. We also can see how genuine they are to all kids. That you know our daughter is in good hands. Willow learnt alot from school. She improved so much. I always recommended this school if anyone looking for school for their kids as for me I have witnessed all the good things about this school. Now that my daughter attending primary. She always mentioned her montessori school and she wants to visit them. She miss her teachers there. Huge thanks to all people that runs the Montessori for Children. You guys gave big impact to the children. The love and care you all show and gave to them. 5 stars are not enough and even words to tell how thankful we are for you all. My Willow's favourite teacher Yu Ting ♥️. We will visit you all soon xx
Our experience at Montessori for Children (Newton Campus) has been amazing. Both my son and daughter had the privilege of attending this incredible kindergarten, and they loved every minute of it. The teachers and staff are truly exceptional—caring, nurturing, and dedicated to each child's growth. The activities are engaging and fun, and the learning materials are thoughtfully selected to enhance the educational experience. I’m so grateful for the personalized attention and love my children received, making it a truly special place for them to learn and grow.
This is the best school you could hope for your child. It flies a bit under the radar and does not “brand” itself like Etonhouse or Odessey, but it is an institution in Singapore’s educational history. Our son went here starting 13 months all the way to graduation at age 6. He loved going to school and learnt much more than we could have expected. As an example, kids graduate from here being able to do mental math of two digit numbers (18x12) and their Chinese programme is fantastic - despite not being ethnically Chinese, our son speaks and loves the language as his own mother tongue. He is now taking it as his MTL in primary school where the teachers have been impressed with the foundation he has been given. Perhaps most importantly, the culture of the school is fantastic. We felt at every instance like we had partners to help us raise our child - the teachers were always open to taking to us, and we resolved many of the behavioral toddler issues together. Kudos to Principal Irene who runs a really good school, and to all the teachers who are the best educators you can find. Look no further if you want the best education for your child.

Montessori for Children is priced at the mid-range tier ($$) on a monthly recurring basis. Exact monthly fees are not publicly listed, so it is best to contact the centre directly for a current fee schedule. Beyond the headline monthly rate, families should also ask about a one-time registration fee, a refundable deposit (typically equivalent to one to two months' fees), and any charges for uniforms or group insurance. Childcare fees in Singapore are GST-exempt, so no goods and services tax should be added to your invoice. See the full childcare cost guide for Singapore →
Singapore citizen children enrolled at eligible ECDA-licensed childcare centres may qualify for the Basic Subsidy (up to S$300 per month for childcare, or up to S$600 per month for infant care), the Working Mother's Child Development Subsidy (additional support for mothers working 56 or more hours per month), and the Additional Subsidy (income-tested, bringing combined monthly support up to S$710 or more for lower-income households). Permanent resident children may qualify for partial subsidies at reduced rates. Importantly, subsidy eligibility depends on the centre holding the relevant ECDA licence. No licence is currently listed for Montessori for Children, so you should confirm the centre's regulatory status directly before assuming subsidies apply. Subsidy quantum and eligibility criteria are subject to change — always check the ECDA website for the most current figures.
Demand for playgroup and childcare places in Singapore can be significant, and popular centres often fill slots three to twelve months in advance. Infant care places in particular tend to be the most competitive. January is the main peak intake month, so families targeting the new year should enquire well ahead of schedule. To secure a place, most centres require a completed registration form together with a registration fee and deposit. It is advisable to contact Montessori for Children directly — via WhatsApp, phone, or the online enquiry form — to ask about current availability for your child's intended start month and age group, and to understand what is needed to hold a spot.
