On 11 December 24, at 510pm, I arrived at the veterinary clinic to finalize payment and collect my dog following his dental scaling procedure. The reception staff indicated the veterinarian would be bringing my dog from the ward. After a 15-minute wait, I inquired about my dog's release and was informed that the veterinarian was still retrieving him. This response was repeated after another 15 minutes. Following a 45-minute wait, I again inquired, prompting them to check with the ward, which eventually revealed my payment (which I have paid 45 mins ago) had not been relayed to the ward by the receptionist. My dog was then brought down by the vet within two minutes. I am extremely dissatisfied with the reception staff's unprofessional demeanor and lack of accountability. The reception staff failed to verify payment with the ward, instead repeatedly offering an unsubstantiated explanation to brush me off. Despite only one other client being present and two receptionists on duty, no proactive steps were taken to address the 45-minute waiting. On another note, I must commend Dr. Dani and the veterinary nurse for their exceptional professionalism, friendliness, high level of knowledge, and meticulous explanation of the procedure. They were simply awesome. However, suboptimal management at the reception and front desk will preclude my return to Mount Pleasant Veterinary. I am sure I will find better front desk service at another facility in Singapore.

Bought my dog, Bibi to see the vet here. Some reviews stated bad for this hospital but I find that the staff and vet are friendly and knowledgeable. Vet warned me of my dog's critical condition and did her best to save my dog. I am grateful for that, even though in the end my dog, Bibi still left us at 9pm. Rip my beloved Bibi.

I recently had my dog neutered at this clinic. A few days after the procedure, the surgical site showed signs of infection. When I brought my dog back for a review, I was charged for the consultation (around $70), a bacterial culture test ($50+), and additional antibiotics, totaling over $200. This could likely have been avoided if antibiotics had been prescribed immediately after surgery. The initial neutering already cost over $1,500, and having to pay another $200+ for what felt like preventable follow-up treatment was disappointing. I truly hope the clinic prioritizes patient care and preventive measures, as our pets are family members — not just sources of revenue.

Used to have staff who are dedicated to welfare of animals. With so many turnovers of staff. I see my pet cat, who is very mild being handled very roughly. I have fed back to the vets here and I hope will change. To owners. Please be present when the staff are drawing blood or doing any external surgery. I truly hope that there are enough trainings and guidance to enable the staff to be more careful. Vet wise, so far so good. Especially Doc Nick. I would wholly recommend his expertise and dedication.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Mount Pleasant Veterinary Group charge?

Pricing for pet cremation and funeral services in Singapore typically varies based on the type of service selected and the size of the pet. Individual cremation — where your pet is cremated alone and ashes returned — generally costs more than communal cremation. Add-ons such as memorial urns, paw prints, fur clippings, or ceremony arrangements carry separate charges. Mount Pleasant Veterinary Group displays a mid-range ($$) price indicator, but specific fees are not published publicly and should be confirmed directly. When enquiring, ask for a written breakdown covering all components, including any transport or collection fees. See the full Pet Cremation & Funeral cost guide for Singapore →

What vaccinations does Mount Pleasant Veterinary Group require?

Vaccination requirements are most relevant where the provider also offers boarding, daycare, or other live-animal handling services. For dogs, standard requirements typically include DHPP (distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, parainfluenza) and rabies, with bordetella (kennel cough) often required for group settings. For cats, FVRCP (feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, panleukopenia) is standard. Proof of vaccination issued within the past 12 months is usually expected at drop-off. As Mount Pleasant Veterinary Group's listed subcategory is pet cremation and funeral services, vaccination requirements may not apply in the same way. Contact the provider directly to confirm any documentation needed when bringing in a pet.

Is Mount Pleasant Veterinary Group licensed and insured?

Mount Pleasant Veterinary Group is ACRA-registered and KakiList-verified, with a Google rating of 4.2 out of 5 from 506 reviews — a robust sample. In Singapore, the Animal & Veterinary Service (AVS) under the National Parks Board oversees licensing for animal-related facilities. No specific AVS licence is listed for this provider on KakiList at this time, so it is advisable to ask the provider directly about their regulatory standing and what insurance or safeguards are in place should any issue arise during the handling of your pet. Visit the facility if possible, confirm the vaccination and handling policy, and verify insurance coverage before proceeding with a booking.
