Families typically begin by enquiring about slot availability for their intended start month, as popular programmes can fill quickly. When you make contact — via phone or the online enquiry form — it is worth asking about the infant-to-caregiver ratio, the daily routine and structure, and the settling-in approach the centre uses to help younger children transition. If your child holds Singapore citizenship, you may also wish to ask whether the programme qualifies for ECDA subsidies, which can materially reduce out-of-pocket monthly costs.
As a practical next step, reach out through the phone or enquiry form to ask about current slot availability for your preferred start month, request a centre visit, and confirm the full fee schedule including any registration fee or deposit required before a place is secured.
Visit the centre in person, meet the lead teacher, and read the parent contract before signing.

My daughter has blossomed under Teacher Anne’s music and piano lessons at Music Zoo. Every class leaves her excited and proud to share what she’s learned, and her weekly progress still surprises us. Her teaching is warm, focused, and very structured — the kind of foundation we were hoping for, but with a spark that keeps our daughter genuinely engaged. Even though we travel quite a distance each week, we are more than willing to continue because the joy and growth we see in her make every trip worthwhile.
Classes are very interactive esp for younger children. A mix of sit-down and movement activities throughout the lesson. We’ve attended a few trial classes with other music schools and found this to most suitable for our 5 year old who still finds it hard to sit down throughout a 30-60 min lesson. Teacher Yvonne is also encouraging and very patient.
My daughter started MYC with Teacher Anne when she was three. Unlike other music centres, music lessons were crafted to engage the child who can learn effectively with a powerful host of characters representing different notes and rhythm. Lessons were fun and there was no dreary feeling of having to attend a class. She completed Grade 8 in Primary 4, and is currently pursuing her Diploma in Secondary 1. She loves playing the piano, is eager to learn new songs and Teacher Anne always has a wide variety of pieces to cater to each child’s preferences.
My daughter started piano lessons with Teacher Anne at about 3yo. A year on, she now has a good grasp of the basic dynamics in music, rhythm, is able to read notes and play simple tunes. The curriculum involves a good variety of activities that are engaging and helps children understand concepts easily. It can be challenging, but definitely satisfying and my daughter feels pride whenever she masters a new piece! Highly recommend.
My kids loved their piano classes at Music Zoo Studio! Teacher Anne was incredibly patient and encouraging—she made learning fun and let them progress at their own pace. They also made some great friends in class. Every week, they looked forward to not just the music lessons but also spending time with their friends. It became something they truly enjoyed and looked forward to! I’m so glad they had such a positive and memorable experience with Teacher Anne and their friends. I’m sure these experiences would be something they’ll remember for a long time! Thank you, Teacher Anne, for your dedication and patience! Really appreciate it! 😍

Music for Young Children Singapore is listed at the mid-range ($$) price tier on a monthly recurring basis. Beyond the monthly programme fee, families should ask about a one-time registration fee and a deposit — typically equivalent to one or two months of fees — payable upon enrolment. Additional costs to confirm include any uniform or materials charges and whether personal accident insurance for the child is included or billed separately. Childcare and playgroup fees in Singapore are GST-exempt, so you should not be charged GST on the programme fee itself. For a precise monthly figure, contact the provider directly as published rates may vary by age group or session frequency. See the full childcare cost guide for Singapore →
Singapore citizen children attending ECDA-licensed childcare centres may be eligible for the Basic Subsidy (up to S$600 per month for infant care, or up to S$300 per month for childcare), and working mothers may additionally qualify for the Working Mother's Child Relief subsidy, which requires the mother to be employed for at least 56 hours per month. Lower-income families may access Additional Subsidy of up to S$710 per month in combined support, subject to household income testing. Permanent resident children are eligible for partial subsidies at reduced quantum. Kindergarten-based programmes may fall under the KiFAS framework instead. Subsidy availability depends on whether the provider holds an ECDA licence — confirm this directly with Music for Young Children Singapore, as no ECDA licence is currently recorded on this listing. Subsidy quantum is subject to government review. Always refer to the ECDA website for the most current figures before making enrolment decisions.
Demand for playgroup and infant care slots in Singapore can be significant, particularly at well-regarded centres. As a general guide, families are advised to enquire three to twelve months ahead of their intended start date, with January being the peak intake month when most programmes begin a new academic year. To secure a place, providers typically require payment of a registration fee and a deposit, so it is worth asking Music for Young Children Singapore what documentation and payment are needed to hold a slot once offered. Contact the centre directly — by phone or through the enquiry form — to ask about current availability for your preferred start month and age group.
