Clients typically begin by contacting Nanyang TCM via WhatsApp, phone, or the online enquiry form to describe their condition or wellness goal — whether that is pain management, stress relief, fertility support, digestive health, or general maintenance. A first consultation involves a detailed intake: pulse diagnosis, tongue examination, and a discussion of symptoms and medical history. From there the practitioner proposes a treatment plan, which may combine acupuncture, tui na, cupping, moxibustion, or herbal prescription. Clarify upfront whether you prefer a single session or a recurring package, and ask about the cancellation policy before committing.
To get started, reach out to Nanyang TCM via WhatsApp or phone to describe your presenting condition and book an initial consultation at their Kitchener Complex clinic.
Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
Dr Zhang is very knowledgeable about pain management. My neck pain was alleviated after visiting her once. Her prescribed acupuncture and tuina were effective. Apart from treatment, she would also provide detailed care plan for healing and suggested follow-ups.
Very impressed with Physician Zhang after my first time visit today. She was very skilful in acupuncture, tuina, baguan and prices are very reasonable. She was meticulous and explained the condition and treatment patiently. She did not rush thru the treatments and always checked in to ensure I was comfortable. I will definitely revisit for any follow up treatment and will recommend friends.
I highly recommend Dr. Zhang for her professionalism and attention to detail. I had a lower back massage and cupping with her. She thoroughly explained the cause of my lower back pain and offered valuable advice. Her tuina skills are excellent as well.
My hubby started his TCM treatment with Physician Zhang since last year when he had quite a bad stroke which left him half immobile. Though he underwent some physio and speech therapy, the recovery time was slow. When we first treated by Zhang, we have some reservation as we were not sure how effective TCM treatment would be. However, my worry was uncalled for as within the next 2 months of weekly treatment, he showed amazing progress and even his physiotherapist and doctor were surprised of his speedy recovery progress….now he is able to resume his usual work routine and some of his friends were surprised to hear that he was once a stroke patient. Really thankful to Physician Zhang for her good advice and patience in treating him. Strongly recommended 👍🏻
Love Physician Zhang's Tuina. Always feel relieved after a session. Her acupuncture is great as well. One session is able to cure my hurt foot. Highly recommended.

Nanyang TCM is listed at a mid-range price point ($$), though specific per-session rates are not publicly displayed. Singapore TCM consultation fees typically run S$30–80 for the initial assessment, with acupuncture sessions at S$60–120, tui na at S$60–100, and herbal prescriptions billed separately by weight or as a packaged course. Many clinics offer bundled packages of 5–10 sessions at a modest discount compared with single-session pricing. Confirm the full fee breakdown — including any surcharge for combined treatments in a single visit, herbal medicine costs, and the no-show or late-cancellation policy — before your first appointment. No GP referral is required to book a TCM consultation. At your first visit you will typically complete an intake form covering your current symptoms, medical history, medications, and lifestyle factors. The practitioner will then conduct a TCM diagnostic assessment — pulse palpation, tongue inspection, and questioning — before recommending a treatment approach. If you have a complex or serious medical condition (for example, a cardiovascular condition, pregnancy, or a clotting disorder that may affect acupuncture suitability), informing the practitioner in advance allows them to flag any contraindications. A GP referral letter is not required for TCM treatment, but having one can support an insurance claim under certain integrated shield or employer health plans.
In Singapore, TCM practitioners — including acupuncturists and TCM physicians prescribing Chinese herbal medicine — must be registered with the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners Board (TCMPB) under the Ministry of Health. Registration is mandatory and verifiable on the TCMPB public register at moh.gov.sg. No TCMPB registration details are listed in Nanyang TCM's current KakiList profile, so it is advisable to ask the clinic directly for the practitioner's registration number and cross-check it on the TCMPB register before your first treatment. Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the TCMPB public register before booking your session.
