About Olive Psychology

Olive Psychology is a counselling practice located at CT Hub, Kallang, serving clients islandwide. The practice is KakiList-verified, confirming active operations and contact details. If you are considering counselling at Olive Psychology, the typical first step is an initial consultation to discuss your presenting concerns, personal goals, and what you hope to gain from the process. Before booking, it is worth confirming the qualifications and registration of the specific practitioner you will be seeing — psychologists in Singapore may be registered with the Singapore Psychological Society (SPS) or the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC), and this varies by discipline and training background. It is also worth clarifying session frequency, whether individual or couples or family counselling is offered, the cancellation and no-show policy, and whether the practice accepts insurance or Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) reimbursement.

To take the next step, reach out to Olive Psychology via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form to ask about practitioner availability, session fees, and whether an initial consultation slot suits your schedule.

I was very encouraged by the sessions that I had with Mr. Sam. I was not just given advice but my voice was really heard and well understood:) I have seen positive changes within me throughout and even after the sessions. God bless you.

As a Coach who runs my own coaching and consulting business, I understand the importance of having mentors and that's why I had many different mentors who guided me for my business. It was only after I saw a friend's posting about his experience with Counselling / Therapy, that I realised that this could be something that I'm missing in my life. I believe that I can't pour from an empty cup, and being a Coach who constantly have to pour out onto others, I realised there are times when I'm running close to empty. And so when I approached Sam for professional counselling in 2022, it was really a situation of wanting help to fill my own cup, and cover any blindspots in my life. I am someone who values personal development a lot, so the idea of investing into counselling was a no brainer — I wanted an avenue where I can sharpen myself to become the best version of myself. In just the first session, Sam gave me breakthroughs in my mindset — challenging previous mental models of how I looked at myself and even the relationships around me. I didn't realise there was so many parts of my life that needed fixing, and that explains why I have repeated so many past hurts in my life. But Sam has equipped me with the mental models and frameworks that I still use even today — 3 years later. Because of his expertise, I am so much more confident in navigating the various challenges in my Life — whether it is in my business, my relationships, or even myself. I am very thankful for his help all these couple of years, and I foresee I will continue to go to him for the indefinite future. Thank you Sam!

My partner and I came to Sam when we were having some trouble in our relationship. He was able, in a matter of weeks, to teach us how to communicate in a mature way and has helped us beyond belief! Thank you Sam.

I came to Sam after seeking out many supposedly “ well known “ counsellors..but none of them could help me. Initially I was skeptical because I already had wasted close to $2,000 doing counselling or therapy hopping lol but I had two of my friends who were totally unrelated that recommended me Sam. So I went reluctantly because I wanted to improve my relationship. I had a very bad idea of how a relationship should be because growing up my mum and dad divorced. And I witnessed many toxic relationships around me. And I applied that concept to my current relationship and man, I can say it’s like WW3 daily. Long story cut short, Sam saved my relationship and helped me worked through my trauma If it wasn’t for him, I don’t know if I’ll still be together with my current partner. I’ve been with many girls in my life, and I knew for a fact that I wanted this woman to be my wife. I was afraid I couldn’t heal/ change myself in time. When I went to Sam, my relationship was crumbling. And the strength of the relationship was seriously as strong as a tissue paper 🤣 After many sessions with Sam, hard work and self compassionate, I’m proud to say we have never been closer. The bond we have with each other is so genuine and strong. Also we are getting married this month :’)

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Olive Psychology charge per session?

Olive Psychology displays a '$$' price indicator, but specific session rates are not publicly listed on this profile. In the Singapore counselling and psychology market, individual therapy sessions typically run S$100–200 per 50-minute session at private practices, with initial assessment consultations sometimes priced higher. Package deals are offered by some practices but are less common in counselling than in physical wellness services. Confirm the exact per-session fee, whether a first-consultation fee applies, and the cancellation policy before booking. Some practitioners offer sliding-scale fees for clients with financial constraints — it is reasonable to ask. See the full counselling cost guide for Singapore →

Do I need a referral or assessment first?

A GP or specialist referral is not mandatory to book a private counselling session at Olive Psychology, though having one can be useful if you intend to claim under a health insurance policy or an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), as many insurers require a referral for mental health benefits to apply. At the first visit, you will typically complete an intake form covering your mental health history, presenting concerns, and goals. For complex conditions — such as diagnosed depression, anxiety disorders, trauma, or eating disorders — the practitioner may recommend a psychiatric assessment alongside counselling. Confirm the format of the first session and whether there are any contraindications or conditions the practice does not cover before booking.

Is the practitioner at Olive Psychology licensed?

No regulatory licences are listed on this profile. In Singapore, the title 'psychologist' is not legally protected, meaning individuals can use it without formal registration. Registered psychologists hold credentials from the Singapore Psychological Society (SPS) or the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) — the AHPC register is publicly searchable online. Counsellors may be members of the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC). Before booking, ask for the named practitioner's full credentials, professional registration body, and registration number, then verify on the relevant public register. Practitioner-level registration is the primary trust signal in this field. Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
