At Oloid Studio, we are Interior Designer, Home Stylist and Home renovators.
The bulk of Oloid Studio's bookings cover Interior Design. Because this is a focused home services operation, most jobs are scoped over WhatsApp first — photos of the issue, property type, and preferred slot — before a price is quoted.
Oloid Studio covers all of Singapore, which is useful if you live in a less-central estate or need a provider that can follow a recurring job to different addresses. The business is KakiList-verified, meaning a real person has confirmed the operating details and contact channel. Google reviewers currently give Oloid Studio a strong average of 4.8/5 across 34 reviews, which is a reasonable signal of consistency for a home services provider.
To move forward with Oloid Studio, WhatsApp is the most efficient channel: describe the problem, share a photo if applicable, and mention your location. KakiList doesn't charge either party, so the quote you receive is the quote the provider actually offers.
Full reno 2 bedder 947sqft I chose Daniel because Oloid Stdio has 100% 5 star google reviews though his quote is not the lowest. The contract was signed mid-May 25 Keys handover end-July 25 Agreed completed 31/10/25 Requested 1st extension 10/11/25 Requested 2nd extension and handed over an incomplete house 15/11/25 Almost but still incomplete final completion 29/1/26 The cleaners handed over the house to me. (3 days away to vacate from my rented house) DANIEL WAS ABSENT WITH ZERO FOLLOW UP (cos he has birthday plans). The house has NO ROOM & TOILET DOORS (just curtains), NO FIRE (induction not connected) NO WATER (kitchen tap not installed) INCOMPLETE DINING, WARDROBE, CABINETRY & STUDY TABLE (for my son) and a long list of unsettled issues. On my day of move in, I have 7 contractors with my mover. Some contractors couldn't even work cos no space. It was chaotic. Security came up. Weeks after my moved in., I continued to have contractors coming over to install or retify mistakes or do forgotten work. DANIEL is close to irresponsible, unreliable with low accountability. His team of workers has low workmanship standards. He is mostly not around to QC jobs that has been done. I need to repeatedly tell him newly installed window handles were loose, electrical control were connected wrongly, cabinet laminates wrong colour orientation, wrong colour socket installed, wrong study table dimensions constructed, and the list goes on. He convinced me to go with a more expensive but very good plasterer. $3400 for just hall & rooms, excluding kitchen & yard. $2950 for Nippon premium paint and top up $700 for Benjamin Moores. Total $7050. At night when you turned on the light, you can see the uneven surface. The paintwork turnout to be horrendous. Big & small droplets, inconsistent paint, brush strokes, paint streaks, patchy, rough etc (refer to pics) I complained to him. Told him the painter lack the skills, even pointed out to him while he was painting with the brush going all ways! But he still get the same subpar painter to come and make it worse. The same toilet bowl, installed and leaked 3 times before his plumber got it right. Same goes to the electrician, who kept connecting the 1/2/3 ways for lighting controls wrongly. The tiler too, skirting was uneven and 1 of the tile protruded by 1mm. Once his workers forcefully close the door without releasing the stopper, left the room window open and smoke in the house. My door tilted quite badly so they couldnt lay protection sheet over. The door closer was dripping red oil onto the new tile. It went un-noticed. After the second cleaning, protection sheets were laid only 50%. With a long list of jobs not done, i have contractors pushing in with trolleys & ladders etc. Daniel didnt think anything was wrong till I pointed out to him. And he used my air con carton box to do it. To clearly understand Daniel's working attitude & standards, this 5 examples sum it all. (though there are really much more) 1) The left over Benjamin Moores paint (beige) was poured into a different Nippon paint colour container (green) that caused contamination 2) I told him the light is not in the centre of the mirror & basin. His proposed solution is to shift the mirror. (what about the basin?) 3) He propsed a curved counter top with a curved cabinetry but said contractor couldnt do it. So I have a angled top with a curve below. (only found out after installation) 4) His variation order quote is never once accurate, NEVER. 5) I paid full on 12/1/26 despite work not completed and requested for the electrical/piping layout. Reminded him on 23/1/26 to bring over on 29th for the final paint job. He came on 29th morning, told me he will send in pdf file. Then in the afternoon, he told me he will do a video to point out where are the pipings/ wires. Then he said actually can refer to the earlier chat groups pics to see where they are installed. Finally he said he will compile the pics and sent to me. Today is 09.2.26 It is ok Daniel, I will find my way.
I engaged Wei Loon, my interior designer, to renovate my home under a very tight and challenging timeline. The unit was handed over in December, and the renovation needed to be completed shortly after Chinese New Year. This period is especially difficult because many workers return to Malaysia for the holidays, leading to a shortage of manpower and potential delays. Despite these challenges, Wei Loon remained calm, professional, and efficient throughout the process. He planned everything meticulously, ensured that key milestones were met before the holiday break, and managed the resumption of work smoothly after the workers returned. What I appreciated most was his consistent communication. He provided timely updates at every stage, so I always knew what to expect and never had to chase for information. His meetings were punctual, his coordination was spot-on, and his dedication to the project was evident from start to finish. Thanks to his experience and commitment, the renovation was completed smoothly and to a high standard, even under difficult circumstances.
I cannot recommend Wei Loon highly enough as an interior designer and renovation project manager. From the outset, Wei Loon has been exceptionally responsive, responsible, and reliable. What truly sets him apart is that he is not someone who simply takes instructions at face value. Instead, he acts as a trusted advisor who is grounded, realistic, and honest about what can and cannot be done. He is thoughtful in flagging potential issues with our ideas, not to shut them down, but to ensure we are making informed decisions. This gave us tremendous confidence throughout the renovation journey. Wei Loon also went above and beyond by taking the time to shop with us, helping us assess whether selections would work aesthetically and practically in the actual space. That level of involvement and care is rare. His contractors mirror his standards; professional, responsible, and meticulous in their work. On the rare occasion something went wrong, Wei Loon took full ownership. He did not deflect responsibility; instead, he personally ensured rectifications were done properly and even replaced damaged furnishings when the fault lay with his contractors. That accountability is invaluable. While he may not be the cheapest option, what you are paying for is peace of mind, integrity, and solid quality workmanship. In an industry where fly-by-night contractors, unresponsiveness, and corner-cutting are unfortunately common, Wei Loon truly stands out as a beacon of reliability and professionalism. If you are looking for someone you can genuinely trust to deliver excellent renovation work with honesty, care, and accountability, Wei Loon is someone you can count on.
Daniel was a great help with the design of my house. He gave many ideas and patiently went through many options with me for what I wanted. In particular, he helped to come up with a wardrobe combined with an open dresser-type space that would be very useful for me in getting ready in the morning. He was also instrumental in pointing out what could and what wouldn't work in my house and in suggesting materials that would fit my needs, e.g. in the kitchen he suggested laminates that would be easy to clean. Thank you!
I am very happy with the design and the services provided by OLOID STUDIO. Mr Daniel is super patience and he is a very detailed ID. He spent a lot of time with us to make our home transforms to very practical and dreamt home. All my friends and relatives told me that i am very fortunate to have an ID that’s trustworthy. Thanks to Daniel.
