Thank you to Dr. Ong, Dr. Lim and front counter staff for their friendly service. The doctors are patient and gentle in treatment for my plantar fisciitis. The staff used a marker to highlight on the bottle of medication which makes it easy for the patients. 2 thumbs up to all!

I have scoliosis for few years but lately is getting bad was in pain with pinched nerve . Recently it gotten worse and my orthopedic ordered an MRI. My orthopedic advised to have spine operation but I have fears. Someone recommended Dr Wong , an orthopedic at Ong fu jian in Joo Chiat Road . He read my eight films and assured me nothing serious. He also mentioned an operation was not necessary as he could fix the issues . My consultation with him lasted half an hour and treatment was another hour. I went for my weekly appointment initially for about 2 months and am now able to travel for holidays again . He is meticulous and very patient . A very nice physician. I am very much better but I keep on a monthly maintenance . I would not hesitate to recommend Dr Wong if one has back and spine issues . He also has a team of wonderful / cheerful team of physicians and front line staff!

Saw Dr. Wong Lin Ho today and was glad to find relief with my shoulder pain that has been bothering me for the past month. This was done with acupuncture, tuina, and cupping. Also, I really appreciated a detailed patient history taking that made me feel heard as a patient. He looked through my entire test results and highlighted many conditions that were not mentioned to me elsewhere. He even went a step further to msg me a summary of my conditions, what further plans will be needed and how to go about dealing with them. Will be returning for further treatments for chronic conditions! 10/10 would recommend.

Very grateful to Physician Wong for fixing my shoulder. Wasted time and efforts at polyclinics and physiotherapy. One of my shoulder was still lower compared to the other and causing me discomfort during exercise and sleeps. After acupuncture and cupping, Physician Wong adjusted the shoulder after a few adjustments and instantly my shoulder had this relief that I haven't felt for a long time. A shoulder joint that was out of place was now flushed with my shoulder muscles. Amazing! Highly recommended!

Been diagnosed with rare brain condition (Chiari Malformation) earlier this year. Feeling despair & helpless as Drs from hospital and previous TCM that I went were unable to help me with my symptoms - walking imbalance, heaviness on legs when walking, dizziness, head pressure, migraine etc… Search online, fortunate to have found Dr Wong Lin Ho who is professional for both western med & TCM, also specialised in treating patients with neurological condition. During first consultation, Dr Wong took time to look through my medical report, MRI scan and understand my medical conditions. He also did some examination to check on my physical mobility. Till now I have been visiting Dr Wong for over eight months, receiving treatment of acupuncture, cupping, tuina and herbal medications. For each visit, I’m thankful of Dr Wong for being patience to discuss and explain ways to solve my medical concerns. As due to my rare condition, while it may not be cure but most of my symptoms have been subsided and maintaining my overall health condition. Not only that Dr Wong been treating my chronic gastric problems and sinus issues which I’m glad that its been significantly improved. Highly recommend Dr Wong Lin Ho to anyone seeking TCM treatment.

Do I need a referral or assessment first?

No formal referral is required to book an initial consultation at a TCM clinic. On your first visit, expect to complete an intake form covering your medical history, current medications, and presenting symptoms. The physician will then conduct a tongue and pulse assessment as part of the traditional diagnostic process before recommending a treatment approach. While a GP referral is not mandatory, having one can assist with insurance claims — some Medisave-approved TCM treatments (specifically acupuncture for specific conditions) allow partial Medisave withdrawal, and insurers may require a referral letter or diagnosis code for reimbursement. If you are managing a complex or chronic condition, informing the physician of any concurrent Western medical treatment helps ensure a safe and coordinated care plan.

Is the practitioner at Ong Fujian Chinese Physician Hall licensed?

In Singapore, TCM practitioners must be registered with the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners Board (TCMPB) under the Ministry of Health. Registration is mandatory for those who practise acupuncture or dispense Chinese proprietary medicines. You can verify any practitioner's registration on the TCMPB public register at the MOH website using the practitioner's full name. Ong Fujian Chinese Physician Hall does not currently have a licence listed on this KakiList profile. Before your appointment, ask for the treating physician's full name and TCMPB registration number, then cross-check on the public register. Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the TCMPB public register before treatment.
