About Open Doors Montessori

About "Open Doors Montessori"

Open Doors Montessori is a playgroup provider operating islandwide and listed at 66 Namly Place, Singapore 267211. The listing has been verified by KakiList, meaning operating details and contact information have been confirmed by a real person. It carries a 5-out-of-5 Google rating, though this is based on only 3 reviews and should be treated as directional rather than conclusive. Monthly fees are positioned in the mid-range ($$) bracket.

Families interested in enrolling should begin by enquiring about available slots for their intended start month, as playgroup places — particularly at smaller Montessori settings — can be limited. When you contact Open Doors Montessori by phone or via the enquiry form, ask about the child-to-caregiver ratio, the daily routine, and the settling-in approach for younger children. It is also worth clarifying whether there is a registration fee, a deposit requirement, and what the centre's approach to the settling-in period looks like. Singapore citizen children may be eligible for ECDA subsidies depending on the programme type — confirm directly with the centre whether their programme qualifies.

To take the next step, use the phone or enquiry form listed on this page to request a centre visit. Bring your child's birth certificate and ask to meet the lead teacher before committing. Listing data is incomplete — contact "Open Doors Montessori" directly to confirm details.

I am an AMI-certified Montessori teacher for children aged 0-6, with 12 years of experience. Since moving to Singapore, I've been searching for the right Montessori preschool for my son. Finally, we found here. My son has been attending the playgroup since he was 4 months old; he's now eighteen months. The environment here is exceptionally well-prepared, reflecting Montessori educational principles to the fullest. The teachers are incredibly friendly, professional, and experienced, ensuring my child is always happy during his time here. Personally, I've also found it enriching, learning a great deal alongside my son.

My son started his first baby playgroup with Open Doors Montessori at Les Olivers when he was a few months old & was barely able to walk.Today as he turns 2 years, the journey has been amazing for us till now. Me & my husband attended their Montessori Principles At Home (Parenting Workshop) which was again a great help for us to be on the same page as parents & put the Montessori philosophy into practice at home in various stages of our child's development We found Ms Leticia & Ms Ruth, both highly knowledgeable, experienced & passionate in imparting the true Montessori pedagogy based learnings which we were in search of for our child. They both are loving, warm & responsible teachers & our son connects with them well.We find comfort sending him to their Infant community classes at MCH,being rest assured that he is in safer hands. He thoroughly enjoys being at school.

The domestic helper course hosted by open doors montessori was extremely insightful and helpful for my helper to align our vision with how we want to care for our children at home. The course was made easy for my helper to understand and apply the concepts. My helper was always so excited to share what she has learned, and has since put in more effort with applying the learned methods. Both Leticia and Ruth did an amazing job at conducting the sessions. Highly recommended to anyone else who is interested in getting your helper on board with sharing the same vision and values

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does "Open Doors Montessori" charge per month?

Open Doors Montessori is priced in the mid-range ($$) bracket on a monthly recurring basis, though the exact fee has not been published on this listing. When enquiring, ask for a full fee breakdown that includes any one-time registration fee, the deposit amount (typically equivalent to one to two months' fees), and any charges for uniforms or insurance coverage. Childcare and playgroup fees in Singapore are GST-exempt, so the quoted monthly figure should be the amount you pay. For context, Montessori-based playgroup programmes in Singapore generally sit above standard neighbourhood childcare rates owing to the curriculum approach and lower child-to-teacher ratios. Confirm the full schedule of fees in writing before signing any enrolment agreement. See the full childcare cost guide for Singapore →

What subsidies can I claim at "Open Doors Montessori"?

ECDA subsidies are available to Singapore citizen children enrolled in licensed childcare centres and, in some cases, approved playgroup programmes. The Basic Subsidy provides up to S$600 per month for infant care and up to S$300 per month for childcare. The Working Mother's Child Development Subsidy provides additional support for families where the mother works at least 56 hours per month. An Additional Subsidy of up to S$710 per month (combined with the Working Mother's subsidy) is available on an income-tested basis. Singapore Permanent Resident children are eligible for partial subsidies at lower quantum. Note that Open Doors Montessori does not currently hold a listed ECDA licence on this directory. You should confirm directly with the centre and with ECDA whether their programme qualifies for subsidy claims before factoring any subsidy into your budget. Subsidy quantum and eligibility rules are updated periodically — check the ECDA website for current figures.

Is there a waitlist at "Open Doors Montessori"?

Popular playgroup and childcare programmes in Singapore, particularly those with a Montessori approach and smaller class sizes, frequently operate waitlists. It is advisable to enquire at least three to six months ahead of your intended start date. January is the primary intake month for most early childhood programmes in Singapore, so families targeting a January start should reach out well before October of the preceding year. To secure a place, centres typically require payment of a registration fee and, in some cases, a deposit. These amounts and the conditions under which they are refundable should be confirmed in writing. Contact Open Doors Montessori directly via phone or the enquiry form on this page to check current availability for your child's age group and preferred start month.
