From the start, Cass really took the time to understand our vision and turned it into something even better than we imagined. She paid attention to every little detail, offered creative suggestions, and made the whole renovation process so smooth and stress-free. Cass was patient, professional, and genuinely cared about helping us create a home that feels warm and personal. What we really appreciated was how transparent everything was — there were no hidden charges at all. Cass kept us updated every step of the way, which made us feel completely at ease. We had seen over 10 IDs and Nelson really stood out because he was prepared, thoughtful, and transparent. In our very first session, Nelson prepared the sketch and commercials for us to review. During the discussion, if we wanted to make changes to our idea, he could do it immediately which made our lives easier as we could see whether it was a good or bad idea. He effortlessly grasped our vision, a modern luxury look and elevated it with his own insightful touches. Even in furniture selection, he gave us ideas on how to complement the overall look and feel of the place. He was quick to respond and was extremely proactive throughout the whole renovation process. We didn’t have to worry about the finer details as Nelson had it covered. For example, we did not want a boxy look in the room and didn’t know how we could design it. Nelson added in a curved wave-like design for our false ceiling which really elevated the entire room. He managed our house amazingly well. He also told us where to reduce cost and helped us to keep within our budget. In terms of design, aesthetics, conscientiousness, price and transparency, Nelson fit the entire benchmark perfectly. We really love our house and Nelson brought our 3D to life.

I decided to go with this interior design firm after being impressed by the first discussion, where the assigned ID appeared professional and well-prepared. The design phase went smoothly; the assigned ID demonstrated good design skills and offered valuable suggestions. However, when we moved to the renovation phase, it became apparent the ID was not an effective PM for site management. He was not meticulous and often required back-and-forth communication for minor adjustments, which gradually revealed his weaknesses in efficiently coordinating tasks. After reading many horror stories online about interior design experiences, I am okay with my ID’s service level, as I know he is trying to address the issues, and most importantly, I had time to waste!!! I started my renovation in mid-May and asked for it to be completed by October, which would I will only move in December. Eventually, we only managed to finish by early December, which was acceptable. However, I was unhappy that certain areas needed touch-ups after I moved in, although he did try to meet my hard deadline. As you can see, it has been half a year since we started the renovation, and I don't think I set a tight schedule. What led me to give this review 3 stars was the drama that occurred on the handover day. It was discovered that the ID didn't arrange the gas pipe for us, despite having communicated this requirement from the beginning. The stove was installed, but THERE WAS NO GAS PIPE! To get the gas pipe installed, it was necessary to reroute the gas pipeline and remove part of my cabinetry. I was not pleased with the lack of immediate response or resolution until I escalated the issue to their boss. This problem still hasn't been resolved, and my move-in date has been delayed. I had heard horror stories about move-in date delays, but I never imagined it would happen to me with my 6 month renovation timeline given to the firm. The gas piping issue could have been identified much earlier, and as a homeowner, I simply cannot accept such a basic mistake. Overall, if I were to choose the ID firm again, I would prioritize the project management’s skills and response time. Design and execution is a totally different skillset, and if you prefer to hand everything off to the interior designer without much involvement, I wouldn't recommend this firm.

Danielle was very attentive to the details of the renovation and also met my expectations of how i envisage my home to look like. She does not over promise and is very helpful with suggestions on the pros and cons of certain things which i wanted to have. She helped me oversee the whole project and assisted in the engagement and liasing of works with my own subcon, sending me video and pucture updates on the works that was completed. All in all, it was a great experience for me as I had the assurance that the renovation was in good hands.
