About Orchard Manpower
Orchard Manpower is a domestic help agency based in Chai Chee Road, offering maid placement services islandwide across Singapore. The listing has been verified by KakiList, though no ACRA registration or MOM Employment Agency (EA) Licence has been confirmed in the available data. With only 4 Google reviews at a rating of 3.8, the review sample is too small to draw reliable conclusions about service quality.
When engaging a maid agency, families should confirm that the agency holds a valid MOM EA Licence — verifiable on MOM's online EA directory by name or licence number. It is worth clarifying upfront whether you are seeking a new-hire helper or a transfer helper, as placement fees and processing timelines differ significantly. You should also confirm what is bundled into the placement fee: mandatory FDW insurance, the Settling-In Programme, the medical examination, and Work Permit application costs can vary. The helper's monthly salary will depend on nationality and experience, and the household will be liable for the monthly MOM levy — S$300 at the standard rate, or S$60 at the concessionary rate if your household includes a child under 16, an elderly member aged 67 or above, or a person with disability.
To proceed, contact Orchard Manpower by phone to confirm their MOM EA Licence number, discuss source-country options, and request a written breakdown of all fees before paying any deposit.

Hired a new helper from Orchard Manpower and it was a very good and smooth experience overall. Worked with Cecilia who was super helpful and responsive throughout the process - she was endlessly patient with our questions and we are grateful for that. The agency was one of the few that charged a two month loan to the helper and didn't try to charge an exorbitant fee for the employer, everything was transparent and reasonable. Would strongly recommend!
Very professional company, we interviewed a few maids here and ended up employing an absolute gem who has been part of our family for more than 2 years. Come in and speak to Cecilia who is very approachable and helpful.
I just had the worst experience with the staffs (both Christine and Cecilia), I’ve never met more rude staffs than them. The after sales service is horrendous, they simply speak with attitude and as if I owe them a living. They refused to help/assist even when being asked politely. Now imagine how bad the service is. Please skip them by all means!

Placement fees for a new-hire helper typically run S$1,500–3,500 at agencies in Singapore, while a transfer helper (already in Singapore on a valid Work Permit) generally costs S$500–1,500 due to the shorter processing involved. On top of the placement fee, you will pay the helper's monthly salary — typically S$550–800 depending on nationality and experience — plus the monthly MOM levy of S$300 (standard) or S$60 (concessionary for qualifying households). Confirm in writing what is bundled into the placement fee: mandatory FDW insurance (roughly S$300–600 per year), the Settling-In Programme, the pre-employment medical examination, and Work Permit application costs are sometimes included and sometimes billed separately. Orchard Manpower's pricing display is listed as mid-range ($$); contact them directly for a specific written quotation. See the full Maid Agencies cost guide for Singapore →
Every legitimate maid agency in Singapore must hold a MOM Employment Agency (EA) Licence, which is publicly verifiable on MOM's online EA directory by searching the agency name or licence number. The licence number should appear on the agency's website, contracts, and invoices. No MOM EA Licence has been confirmed in the data currently held for Orchard Manpower — this is the single most important item to verify before paying any deposit. EA Grading runs from A+ to C; agencies rated A+ or A have demonstrated stronger compliance and complaint-handling track records. Engaging an unlicensed agent is illegal, leaves you with no recourse if problems arise, and can void your helper's insurance. Verify directly with MOM's EA directory before proceeding. Verify the EA Licence number on MOM's online EA directory before paying any deposit, and read the agency contract's replacement, refund, and early-termination clauses.
Standard replacement guarantees at Singapore maid agencies typically cover a window of six months from the helper's arrival date, with one or two free replacements included. It is important to clarify what circumstances the guarantee covers — a documented skills or temperament mismatch is generally accepted, whereas a change of mind without cause may void the arrangement or attract an additional fee. You should also confirm the early-termination process before signing. If the placement breaks down outside the guarantee window, the household bears the cost of the helper's repatriation flight, unused MOM levy refund processing, and Work Permit cancellation paperwork. Get the full replacement, refund, and early-termination terms in writing before committing. Contact Orchard Manpower directly to confirm the specific terms that apply.
