Clients typically begin with an initial consultation during which the physiotherapist takes a detailed history of the presenting condition — whether that is musculoskeletal pain, post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injury, or a chronic mobility issue — before conducting a physical assessment. From there, a treatment plan is discussed, covering session frequency, the mix of hands-on therapy and exercise prescription, and whether a single session or a recurring package suits the individual's goals. It is worth confirming the cancellation and rebooking policy ahead of the first appointment.
To take the next step, contact Orthomed Physio directly by phone or through the enquiry form on their listing to describe your condition and arrange an initial assessment appointment.
Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the AHPC public register before treatment.
Working with Simon on my recovery has been a pleasure and I am very grateful to the many other athletes who recommended that I see him. I play cricket for the national team and picked up a Grade II calf strain on the field. Simon explained the injury and put me through a sequence of rest and strengthening with clear milestones to be achieved before I started the pre-jumping, interval running and jumping programmes he has developed. The progressive loading of my calf post-injury has given me the confidence in the healing and recovery process, and I am looking forward to staying fit.
I came to Orthomed Physio for rehab after a slipped disc and lower back surgery, as I had a limited range of back extension. Simon was very kind and understanding, especially since I had no full insurance coverage, and offered alternative arrangements with my situation in mind. He is not out for money but genuinely cares about patients’ recovery. Simon is very knowledgeable, he takes the initiative to prepare detailed memos and keep my doctors updated on my condition. I would highly recommend Orthomed Physio for anyone rehabbing after surgery.
I’ve had a really positive experience at this clinic. The therapist is highly experienced and genuinely takes the time to track my progress at every session. He also works closely with my doctor to make sure the treatment is tailored specifically to my condition. What really impressed me was his judgment, he’s not afraid to ask the tough questions. After my MRI showed a major ankle ligament tear, he did further testing and felt the results didn’t quite add up. He advised me to follow up with the doctor, and he turned out to be right. He’s also super patient when explaining what’s going on and what the plan is moving forward. I felt supported and well taken care of throughout. Do check this place out!
I had an outstanding experience with Simon, James, and the entire Team. Their approach combined personalised treatment with a deep understanding of the underlying causes of my condition, along with clear and practical advice on how to adjust my habits for the best results. The physiotherapists are highly dedicated and focused, and I would strongly recommend Orthomed Physio to anyone seeking effective care.
I was referred by friends to see Simon who has been treating my plantar fasciitis and Achilles tendinitis for a few months. For about 8 months, I was trying to manage it but the pain was progressively getting worse. We were registered to run the Great Wall of China, so I required an intensive treatment program (shock wave therapy, massage, strength exercises and wearing a moon boot at home and overnight) which Simon provided to get me right for the run. I was in the best shape come race day and did better than anticipated, thanks to Simon. Once the race was over, I was encouraged to have 4-6 weeks rest from running to see if the injuries would heal. He offered a few more treatments post rest and things are improving. Just have to keep up the exercises and not overloading too much with the running. I opted to do more weights sessions and using my spin bike which has helped. Thanks Simon.

Orthomed Physio displays a '$$' price indicator but has not published a fixed per-session rate publicly. Singapore physiotherapy consultations typically run S$80–180 per session at a private clinic, with initial assessments sometimes priced higher than follow-up sessions. Package deals covering a block of sessions often reduce the per-session cost. Confirm the initial consultation fee, whether a package is available and how many sessions it covers, any materials or modality surcharges (ultrasound, dry needling, taping), and the no-show or late-cancellation policy before your first appointment. GST applies to physiotherapy services at private clinics. See the full physiotherapy cost guide for Singapore →
A GP referral is not required to book a private physiotherapy appointment — you can contact Orthomed Physio directly. However, bringing a referral letter or any imaging reports (X-rays, MRI, ultrasound) relevant to your condition will help the physiotherapist assess you more accurately at the first visit. A GP or specialist referral can also be useful if you intend to claim through MediShield Life, Integrated Shield Plans, or a corporate health insurance policy, as some insurers require a referral letter before they will reimburse physiotherapy fees. Check your policy terms before the appointment. At the first session, expect to complete an intake form covering your medical history, current medications, and any contraindications before the hands-on assessment begins.
Physiotherapists practising in Singapore must be registered with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) under the Allied Health Professions Act. Registration is verifiable on the AHPC public register at https://www.healthprofessionals.gov.sg. A registered physiotherapist is entitled to use the post-nominal 'Physiotherapist (AHPC)' and must renew their practising certificate annually. Orthomed Physio has not listed specific regulatory licences on this directory. Before your first appointment, ask the physiotherapist for their AHPC registration number and cross-check it on the AHPC register. This takes under two minutes and confirms both registration status and the absence of any disciplinary action. Confirm the practitioner's name in advance if more than one clinician practises at the centre.
