New patients typically begin with a first consultation, during which the physiotherapist takes a detailed history, assesses mobility and function, and identifies the presenting condition — whether that is musculoskeletal pain, post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injury, or a neurological or chronic condition. From there, a treatment plan is agreed, which may include manual therapy, exercise prescription, dry needling, or other modalities depending on clinical fit. I am a national canoeing athlete I started physio this year due to a shoulder dysfunction I had incurred while doing intensive training. I was greeted really warmly by my current physio Peter and the journey of recovery has been really smooth sailing and enjoyable. Peter is a really nice and warm person who takes time to explain the purpose of the exercises, how it helps and how to perform such exercises properly to prevent further injuries. he also makes the patient feel at home and it in my opinion makes receiving treatment less daunting and comfortable. I really enjoy the time I've spent and really appreciate the work he has done for my shoulder. he has also helped my mom and grandma and both have also had a steady recovery journey. physio has been the best investment ive made for my sporting journey too and I really recommend it.

I am very happy with the results of my 3 months therapy with senior therapist , Pooja Verma. I have been suffering from carpel tunnel for many years and often wake up from painful numbness. I am now able to perform daily activities normally, no more painful numbness with continuous strengthening exercise taught to me to maintain at home. Truly a right choice made to be in expert’s hands, who knew exactly where my problem areas were. Thank you Physio Asia Therapy Centre for this period of care given. Excellent service from front desk staff for the follow up reminders and appointment scheduling too. It was hassle free.

Walked into his office in pain from a shoulder injury with x ray showing superior ac joint sublaxation. Doctor could only issue me painkillers and i have been waking in pain for the past 2 to 3 nights. On my first visit i was terrified he would have to push back my bone into joint. However he did none. He allow me to have absolute autonomy on how much I am agreeable to move and moving on my own with him guiding gently, while testing the degree of my injury. He is very observant to notice that i am not able to lift my arm when i myself did not realise my arm has no strength/lost ability to lift😲🤯. He also observed that my muscles is too tense. He taught me how to sleep and some exercises to improve mobility. To my relief and surprise, i woke with much lesser pain in my arm with his advice. I started doing "wall clock" exercise whenever i am near a wall during the day and it benefited me the most, bit by bit my arm began moving more inch by inch. I am grateful for all his advices, he told me my body is constantly in flight mode and i began to teach myself and my muscles to relax whenever I can, looking at ways to improve my sitting posture for better blood circulation, and to keep a relaxing mind for better health. When i thought i had recovered (no i hasnt fully), every session is still very beneficial and i actually felt better and better as a whole after each session aside from my shoulder injury that i came consultation for. Thanks Peter. I am very grateful. With him, feel safe.

Peter is honestly one of the best physiotherapists I’ve met. He’s super patient, easy to talk to, and really takes the time to understand what’s going on. He explains everything clearly and makes sure I’m comfortable with the exercises. I’ve felt a big difference after seeing him — less pain, more movement, and I know what to do at home to keep improving. You can tell he genuinely cares about his patients. Highly recommed!

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Physio Asia Therapy Centre (Siglap) charge per session?

Physiotherapy consultation fees in Singapore typically range from S$80 to S$180 per session at private clinics, with initial assessments sometimes priced higher than follow-up sessions. Package pricing — for example, a block of six to ten sessions — is common and usually offers a modest discount over the per-session rate. Confirm the exact fee structure, cancellation policy, and any separate charges for specific modalities (such as dry needling or ultrasound therapy) directly with the clinic before booking. If you intend to claim against an integrated shield plan or employer medical benefits, check whether Physio Asia Therapy Centre (Siglap) is on your insurer's panel or whether a GP or specialist referral letter is required to support the claim. See the full physiotherapy cost guide for Singapore →

Do I need a referral or assessment first?

You do not need a GP referral to book a private physiotherapy session in Singapore — you can self-refer directly. However, if you plan to use MediSave (available for certain chronic condition management under the Chronic Disease Management Programme) or make an insurance claim, a referral letter from a GP or specialist strengthens your case and may be required by your insurer. At the first visit, expect an intake assessment covering your medical history, current medications, imaging reports if available, and a physical examination. Contraindications — such as undiagnosed fractures, active infections, or certain cardiovascular conditions — will be screened at this stage. Bring any relevant X-rays, MRI reports, or discharge summaries so the physiotherapist can form an accurate clinical picture before beginning treatment.

Is the practitioner licensed?

Physiotherapists in Singapore must be registered with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) under the Allied Health Professions Act. Registration can be verified on the AHPC public register at https://www.healthprofessionals.gov.sg before your appointment. Registered physiotherapists are required to meet continuing education requirements and are bound by the AHPC Code of Professional Ethics. No regulatory licences are currently recorded for Physio Asia Therapy Centre (Siglap) on this listing. Confirm the full name and AHPC registration number of the physiotherapist who will treat you, and cross-check on the public register. Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
