Patients typically begin with a first consultation during which the physiotherapist takes a detailed history, assesses posture, movement, and strength, and identifies the presenting condition — whether that is post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injury, back or neck pain, or a chronic musculoskeletal complaint. From there, a treatment plan is agreed, which may include manual therapy, exercise prescription, dry needling, or electrotherapy, delivered across individual sessions. Diana has been supporting me with physiotherapy for almost a year and I'm grateful for her excellent care and expertise. With multiple injuries, hypermobility and a big baby to carry my progress is slow but Diana's positivity, honesty and friendliness motivate me and make my sessions really enjoyable. She has helped me so much with massage and targeted exercises. Her suggestions on braces/supports to help me manage have been amazing every time. Thank you so much (from me and my creaky joints!) 😊

Back on the pitch ahead of schedule! - Diana's expert physio therapy allowed me to get back onto the pitch much faster than I thought. I had severe problems with my achilles tendon, and with a combination of massage, stretching exercises and shock wave therapy she was able to reduce the recovery time substantially.

I can’t recommend Louis enough! I went to PhysioActive because of shoulder pain. I was really nervous that I’d immediately be told to stop all workouts (training is a huge part of life and something I really enjoy) but that wasn’t the case at all. Louis helped me to pinpoint the exercises that I should avoid for a short time and even found work arounds and modifications so I could continue to lift weights. I’m so pleased to say that I’m pain free now and it’s all thanks to Louis! :)

I had physio therapy at PhysioActive because of neck and shoulder pain. Diana Mecklenburg took care of me. She is an excellent physio therapist and also customized helpful exercises for me. I can highly recommend her. Also the staff, Sabrina from Orchard clinic, is very friendly, always there to help and managed everything perfectly. A big „Thank you“ to both of you and all the best!

Fractured my elbow few months ago and went to PhysioActive after reading glowing reviews. Louis had been an amazing help in my recovery. He is very amiable and patiently explains the exercises, why it needs to be done to get my elbow back to normal. Thanks again Louis!!

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does PhysioActive (East Coast Eastgate) charge per session?

PhysioActive (East Coast Eastgate) displays a mid-range pricing indicator, though specific session fees are not published on this listing. For physiotherapy at a private medical centre in Singapore, a first consultation typically runs S$80–150, with subsequent treatment sessions in the S$100–180 range depending on the modality and duration involved. Package pricing may offer a reduced per-session rate for patients committing to a course of treatment. Confirm the exact fee, any additional charges for specific modalities (such as dry needling or electrotherapy), and the cancellation or no-show policy before your first appointment. Some corporate and personal accident insurance policies, as well as certain Medisave-approved conditions, may partially offset costs — check with your insurer in advance. Do I need a referral or assessment first?

A GP referral is not required to book a first appointment at a private physiotherapy clinic — you can self-refer directly. However, bringing a referral letter or any relevant imaging (X-rays, MRI reports, discharge summaries) helps the physiotherapist understand your history and move more quickly to an accurate assessment. Your first visit will typically involve a structured intake — a verbal history, movement and strength assessment, and discussion of your goals — before any hands-on treatment begins. This session is longer than subsequent ones, so budget around 60 minutes. If your condition is complex or involves a recent surgical procedure, the clinic may request your operation report or specialist notes in advance. If you intend to claim through an insurer, check whether the policy requires a GP referral for the claim to be valid, as some do — this is an insurer requirement, not a clinical one.

Is the practitioner licensed?

Physiotherapists practising in Singapore must be registered with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) — registration is a legal requirement, not a voluntary credential. You can verify any physiotherapist's registration on the AHPC public register at the Ministry of Health's online portal before or after your appointment. PhysioActive (East Coast Eastgate) has not listed specific regulatory licences on this directory. Before booking, ask the clinic to confirm the name and AHPC registration number of the physiotherapist who will be treating you, and verify that registration is current and in good standing. Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the AHPC public register before treatment.
