Families considering Playgroup Classroom should begin by enquiring about slot availability for their intended start month, as playgroup places can fill quickly. During your initial contact via phone or the enquiry form, ask about the daily routine, the child-to-caregiver ratio, and the settling-in period for younger children joining a group setting for the first time. It is also worth confirming whether the centre is ECDA-licensed, as this determines eligibility for government subsidies available to Singapore citizen children. Bring any questions about curriculum approach and nap or meal arrangements to the centre visit so you can observe the environment directly.
As a concrete next step, contact Playgroup Classroom by phone or through the enquiry form to check current slot availability for your child's intended start month, and request a centre visit at the earliest opportunity.
Visit the centre in person, meet the lead teacher, and read the parent contract before signing.

We chose Cherrybrook preschool for our child because of its authentic focus on virtues and character development, and we couldn't be happier with our choice! We are so impressed by the teachers' dedication and passion! We always feel their genuine love and care for the children. Under their nurturing guidance, our child has grown and blossomed. She loves Cherrybrook so much. Today, two years after our child has graduated, she is still visiting Cherrybrook during events and hanging out with her ex-classmates in playdates/parties/holiday programmes! We are so privileged to be part of the Cherrybrook family!
I personally love the culture in Cherrybrooks Thomson. It is not the typical high in marketing type of childcare. It is a small size class setting and the teachers and school culture is focusing a lot on character building. Teachers are very experienced, even train in detecting early sign of learning difficulty. Each child is assign to a tutor (one of teacher) for the parent to work closely with throughout their growth in the school. I actually switched both my boys over around N2, this is mainly because I like how they prep my kids for primary school setting and curriculum. They also beef up general knowledge in their day to day by reading newspaper to them regularly. I personally love the setting and the school environment very much.
Love the school’s virtues based education and teachers and staff who are very experienced in caring for the children. The small class size and parent tutor system further makes for a very personalized pre-school experience. It is a cozy set-up and may not be the most modern, but very much appreciate the unique education experiences, for example having the children take turns to serve each other lunch in school, speak only Chinese days and making available Cathecism for the children. Special shout out from my son about the lunches ☺️
This teachers' day, i like to give a special shout out to all the teachers and staff of cherrybrook thomson! They are geniunely care for the children and work hand in hand with the parents to ensure the children will be well brought up! The parent tutor system and their virtues project are very unique propositions and are what i like about the school! My children look forward to going to school everyday!
It's not just a school but our home for several years. Our family made lifelong friends here. While most schools boast of their academic offering, Cherrybrook offers more than academic excellence. Virtues are taught to the children and play an important part in the children's education.

Playgroup Classroom is priced at a mid-range level for Singapore's playgroup market, indicated by a "$$" pricing tier on a monthly recurring basis. Beyond the monthly fee itself, families should ask about a one-time registration fee, a refundable deposit (typically equivalent to one to two months' fees), and any charges for uniforms or personal accident insurance. Childcare and playgroup fees at ECDA-licensed centres are GST-exempt, so you should not be charged GST on tuition fees. Confirm all fee components in writing before signing any enrolment contract. Government childcare subsidies in Singapore are administered by ECDA and are available only at ECDA-licensed centres. For eligible Singapore citizen children, the Basic Subsidy provides up to S$300 per month for childcare programmes. Working mothers employed for at least 56 hours per month may qualify for an additional Working Mother's Child Care Subsidy. Lower-income families may also access the Additional Subsidy, which is income-tested and can bring total combined support higher. Permanent resident children are eligible for partial subsidies at reduced rates. Subsidy quantum and eligibility criteria are reviewed periodically, so parents should consult ECDA directly at go.gov.sg/ecda for the most current figures before making enrolment decisions.
Playgroup demand in Singapore can be significant, particularly for the January intake when most programme cycles begin. For popular centres, it is advisable to enquire three to six months ahead of your intended start date to avoid missing available slots. To secure a place, most centres require payment of a registration fee and deposit, which confirms your child's slot. Contact Playgroup Classroom directly by phone or via the enquiry form to check current availability and ask about their specific enrolment process and any waiting list arrangements that may be in place.
