A first visit typically begins with an initial consultation and physical assessment, during which the physiotherapist reviews your presenting condition, injury history, and functional goals. Based on this, a treatment plan is proposed covering the modalities to be used, the recommended session frequency, and an estimated course of treatment. For ongoing conditions, patients are usually offered a package of sessions; single-session bookings may also be available. It is worth confirming the cancellation and no-show policy before your first appointment, and asking whether the physiotherapist holds Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) registration — the statutory requirement for physiotherapists practising in Singapore.
To get started, contact ProActive Physiotherapy directly via WhatsApp or phone to book an initial consultation, describe your condition or goals, and ask for the current session rate and any package options available.
Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
Over the years, I’ve seen many physiotherapists for various injuries and chronic issues—but none have come close to the level of care, skill, and dedication that Martin provides. He is, without a doubt, head and shoulders above anyone else I’ve worked with in this field. From the very first session, Martin stood out. He took the time to truly listen, carefully assess my condition, and explain his approach in a way that was clear, reassuring, and easy to follow. His deep knowledge is evident in everything he does, but what really sets him apart is his genuine passion for helping people heal and improve their quality of life. Every session with Martin was purposeful and motivating. He doesn’t just treat symptoms—he gets to the root of the problem and works with you to build lasting strength, mobility, and confidence. His hands-on techniques, customized exercises, and constant encouragement made a real difference in my recovery. Beyond his clinical expertise, Martin brings a warmth and professionalism that creates a comfortable, positive atmosphere. You never feel like just another appointment—he truly cares about your progress and celebrates your wins along the way. Thanks to Martin, I’ve made more progress than I thought possible. If you’re looking for someone who goes above and beyond—not just a good physio, but a great one—Martin is the person you want by your side. I can’t recommend him highly enough.
I was set to attempt the Everest Base Camp trek in June 2025, but my foot, hip, and scoliosis issues had other plans. In August 2024, walking for more than 15 minutes was a struggle. But Martin's physio sessions worked magic! He boosted my confidence, and with his expert help, I gained the mobility and strength I needed. The trek was a success, and I'm forever grateful to Martin. If you're looking for a physio who delivers, Martin's your guy!!
I recently underwent physiotherapy rehabilitation for an injury affecting my wrist and elbow due to post-surgical recovery. My pain and mobility issues were significantly affecting my daily activities. Mr Martin, the physiotherapist began with a thorough assessment and created a personalized treatment plan. The sessions included a combination of: • Manual therapy to reduce stiffness • Targeted exercises to restore strength and flexibility • Progressive resistance training as mobility improved I noticed consistent improvement over the few weeks course : • my Pain levels (greatly reduced) • Range of motion in both wrist and elbow • Grip strength and functional use Mr Martin was very attentive, adjusted exercises based on my progress, and ensured I understood my home routine. Overall, I’m very satisfied with the care I received. Mr Martin is professional, patient, experience and I felt supported throughout my recovery. I would highly recommend physiotherapy with him. I am very satisfied and give a super rating 5/5; i strongly encourage anyone facing with similar issues to pay him a visit.
Martin is the most engaging and effective physiotherapist I’ve had the pleasure of working with to date. He has fixed my elbow, back, shoulder and self esteem in the process with his friendly persona, constructive consultations and intuitive rehab exercises- all accelerating my recovery at an affordable price. I cannot recommend Martin and his practice enough, if you need to recover from any injury - look no further!
I've seen a few physiotherapist for lower back pain, most of which have approached the problem very generically and told me that there wasn't much to be done - I was nearing the point of considering injections as suggested by some of them. Then I was referred to Martin, and his entire approach was so different. He spent time trying to understand why I was having back pain for such a long time, where the various areas of weakness were, and how we could improve them. I've been going for around a month now, and regularly doing the suggested exercises, and for the first time in years, my back is starting to feel less bad. I highly recommend Martin for his considered approach to treatment that really gets to the root cause of your issues.

ProActive Physiotherapy has not published its session rates publicly. For context, private physiotherapy in Singapore typically runs S$80–180 per session for a standard 45–60 minute appointment, with an initial assessment sometimes billed at a higher rate. Package discounts for a block of sessions (commonly 5 or 10) are standard practice and usually reduce the per-session cost meaningfully. Confirm whether there is a separate initial assessment fee, whether consumables such as strapping tape or electrotherapy pads are billed on top, and whether GST applies. You do not need a GP referral to see a physiotherapist directly in Singapore, though a referral letter can be useful if you plan to claim under an integrated shield plan or corporate insurance — insurers often require it for reimbursement. At the first visit, expect to complete an intake form covering your medical history, current medications, and any contraindications (for example, certain electrotherapy modalities are contraindicated in pregnancy or with metallic implants). If your condition is complex — for example, post-surgical rehabilitation, neurological rehabilitation, or a chronic pain presentation — a GP or specialist referral with imaging reports will help the physiotherapist design a more targeted programme from the outset.
Physiotherapists in Singapore must be registered with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) under the Allied Health Professions Act. Registration is verifiable on the AHPC public register at https://www.ahpc.gov.sg — search by the practitioner's name before booking. An unregistered individual is not legally permitted to practise physiotherapy in Singapore. ProActive Physiotherapy's regulatory licences are not listed on this KakiList profile, so prospective clients should ask the practice directly for the treating physiotherapist's AHPC registration number and verify it on the public register prior to commencing treatment. Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
