I've been visiting Pulse TCM for some time for my eczema treatment, and the experience has always been positive. Recently, they offered me a complimentary health screening as a long-time customer, which I truly appreciated. I was attended by Jun, the entire process was quick, fuss-free, and shows their thoughtful care for regular patients.

Woke up with a very bad neck and shoulder pain and could barely turn my neck, so I came to Pulse and was attended to by Siang. He did acupuncture on me and was so gentle I barely felt anything. After that he also helped me do some stretches and massage on the affected areas to loosen it, checking between intervals to see if I feel better. It was a very helpful session and if I need a TCM I’ll be back!

I had aching body and sensitive skin after my trip. After the lymphatic drainage and Fuyang Tou Jiu treatment, my whole body felt so much more relaxed and comfortable. The Tcm doctor and therapist are so professional in explaining to me how the treatment can help me. Highly recommended for improving general wellbeing!

Received a check up from June — she was really gentle and kind, also very friendly :) I had thin veins and she took the time to make sure that I only needed one draw. Also got acupuncture from Dr Annie, she took the time to ask questions, explain and made sure I was comfortable throughout.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does PULSE TCM Clinic (Holland Village) charge per session?

PULSE TCM Clinic (Holland Village) displays a mid-range price indicator, but specific per-session rates are not published on this listing. For TCM clinics in Singapore, a first consultation typically runs S$30–60, with acupuncture or tui na sessions ranging from S$50–120 depending on the practitioner's seniority and treatment duration. Herbal prescriptions are billed separately and can add S$30–80 per week depending on the formula. Package deals for recurring treatments are common and usually offer a modest discount on the per-session rate. Confirm whether GST is included in any quoted figure, as GST applies to TCM consultations and procedures at private clinics. See the full TCM cost guide for Singapore →

Do I need a referral or assessment first?

No formal referral is required to book a first consultation at a private TCM clinic. On your first visit, expect to complete an intake form covering your medical history, current medications, and presenting complaint. The practitioner will carry out a tongue and pulse assessment alongside a verbal case history before recommending a treatment plan. If you are managing a complex or chronic condition — such as an autoimmune disorder, active cancer, or a post-surgical recovery — bringing recent specialist letters or blood results can help the TCM practitioner contextualise the treatment safely. For insurance reimbursement purposes, some integrated shield plans and corporate health benefit schemes require a GP referral or a specific TCM practitioner code, so check your insurer's requirements in advance.

Is the practitioner licensed?

In Singapore, TCM practitioners are regulated by the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners Board (TCMPB) under the Ministry of Health. Registration is mandatory for anyone practising acupuncture, and TCM physician registration covers consultation and herbal prescription. You can verify any named practitioner's registration on the TCMPB public register at moh.gov.sg before your appointment. No TCMPB licence appears on this listing — ask PULSE TCM Clinic (Holland Village) for the full name and registration number of the consulting physician when booking so you can confirm their standing independently. Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
