The practitioner will conduct pulse and tongue diagnosis before recommending a treatment modality such as acupuncture, tuina, cupping, moxibustion, or herbal medicine. I've been visiting Pulse TCM for some time for my eczema treatment, and the experience has always been positive. Recently, they offered me a complimentary health screening as a long-time customer, which I truly appreciated. I was attended by Jun, the entire process was quick, fuss-free, and shows their thoughtful care for regular patients.

Woke up with a very bad neck and shoulder pain and could barely turn my neck, so I came to Pulse and was attended to by Siang. He did acupuncture on me and was so gentle I barely felt anything. After that he also helped me do some stretches and massage on the affected areas to loosen it, checking between intervals to see if I feel better. It was a very helpful session and if I need a TCM I’ll be back!

I had aching body and sensitive skin after my trip. After the lymphatic drainage and Fuyang Tou Jiu treatment, my whole body felt so much more relaxed and comfortable. The Tcm doctor and therapist are so professional in explaining to me how the treatment can help me. Highly recommended for improving general wellbeing!

Received a check up from June — she was really gentle and kind, also very friendly :) I had thin veins and she took the time to make sure that I only needed one draw. Also got acupuncture from Dr Annie, she took the time to ask questions, explain and made sure I was comfortable throughout.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does PULSE TCM Clinic (Robinson Road) charge per session?

Pricing information is not publicly listed for PULSE TCM Clinic (Robinson Road), so you will need to contact the clinic directly via phone or enquiry form to confirm the consultation fee and treatment costs. As a general guide, TCM consultations in Singapore typically run S$30–80, with acupuncture or tuina add-ons ranging from S$40–100 per session depending on duration and complexity. Herbal medicine prescriptions are billed separately, usually S$20–60 per week's supply. Ask also about the no-show and cancellation policy, as most clinics impose a fee for late cancellations. See the full TCM cost guide for Singapore →

Do I need a referral or assessment first?

No referral is required to book a TCM consultation at PULSE TCM Clinic (Robinson Road). The first visit typically begins with an intake assessment covering your health history, current symptoms, lifestyle, and any medications you are taking — completing an intake form before the appointment, if one is available, can save time. Patients with complex or serious conditions (cancer, neurological disorders, cardiovascular disease, or pregnancy) should inform the practitioner at the time of booking, as certain modalities such as acupuncture and cupping have contraindications. For insurance claims or reimbursement through an Integrated Shield Plan, a GP referral letter may improve your chances of partial coverage — check your insurer's TCM benefit terms before the appointment. The practitioner will conduct a diagnosis during the first session and advise on the appropriate course of treatment before proceeding.

Is the practitioner at PULSE TCM Clinic (Robinson Road) licensed?

In Singapore, all practising TCM physicians must be registered with the TCM Practitioners Board (TCMPB) under the Ministry of Health. Registration covers acupuncturists, Chinese physician practitioners, and those performing both — each licence type is separately listed on the TCMPB public register at moh.gov.sg. No regulatory licences are currently recorded on this KakiList listing for PULSE TCM Clinic (Robinson Road). Before booking, ask the clinic for the consulting physician's TCMPB registration number and verify it on the public register. Practising TCM without TCMPB registration is illegal in Singapore, so this step protects you regardless of how well-reviewed a clinic is. Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the TCMPB public register before treatment.
