The listing has been verified by KakiList, though no ACRA registration has been confirmed in the available data. Pricing is indicated at a mid-range level, though specific session fees are not published on this listing.
If you are considering counselling for yourself or a family member, the typical first step is an initial consultation or intake session, where the counsellor gathers background on your presenting concern — whether that is stress, anxiety, grief, relationship difficulty, or another issue — and establishes whether their approach is a good fit for your goals. It is worth asking whether sessions are individual, couple, or family-focused, what therapeutic modality the counsellor uses (for example, cognitive behavioural therapy, psychodynamic, or solution-focused approaches), the frequency and expected duration of engagement, and the cancellation policy. Some clients also wish to know whether sessions can be claimed under an employer's Employee Assistance Programme or relevant insurance. Clarifying whether the counsellor holds a recognised professional qualification and is listed on the Singapore Register of Psychologists or an equivalent body is advisable before committing.
To take the next step, reach out to Raffles Counselling Centre by phone or via the enquiry form to ask about current availability, the intake process, and session fees before booking your first appointment.
Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
I've been seeing Dr Tan Hwee Sim for over 5 months who is a patient and attentive doctor. She is friendly and patient with me, listening to any concerns and providing me with support. Thanks to Dr Tan, my health has been improving. As Raffles is a private hospital, expect high consultation fees (SGD250+) and more expensive medicine.
Counseling center is so wonderful . Amazing staff always willing to help. From the therapists to the front desk everyone is so friendly and supportive. I especially appreciate Mina at reception, such a patient and kind person!
Dr. Tham Keng Seng is a psychiatrist who truly protects his patients — not just treating symptoms, but safeguarding well-being in real-world situations. During a workplace harassment crisis, he provided clear medical leave and practical safety measures that gave me both protection and dignity. His professionalism, empathy, and courage set him apart. Highly recommended.
This place is an absolute racket. One appointment and some medicine for two weeks cost in excess of $500! Apparently the dr charge by the 15mins but this was not made clear at the booking stage. I thought I had an hour to talk about my problems however seems not. Dr was looking at their watch during the consultation- they didn’t offer much help only prescription and then have to see another type of dr. My insurance has run out after this huge bill. Honestly they are taking advantage of people that already have mental health struggles and therefore probably also money struggles too. I left feeling more anxious than I came. Health policy is Singapore doesn’t at all prioritise mental health you’d be lucky to get any allowance and here it won’t buy you even a small course of treatment to feel better. Find somewhere that cares about patient not just grabbing money.
The staff are friendly, always willing to help and assist you with your needs. The doctors are good however, the fees are a bit pricy.

Specific session fees are not published on this listing. Singapore counselling and psychotherapy rates typically run from S$100 to S$250 per 50-minute individual session at private specialist-centre locations, with couple or family sessions often priced higher. Some practices offer a reduced rate for subsequent sessions when a recurring package is purchased upfront. Confirm the per-session fee, whether a separate initial consultation or intake fee applies, the cancellation and no-show policy, and whether sessions attract GST before your first appointment. Most private counselling centres in Singapore accept self-referrals — you do not need a GP letter to book an appointment. However, if you intend to claim sessions through an employer's Employee Assistance Programme, a medical insurer, or MediShield Life (for specific psychiatric conditions under a psychiatrist), a referral or diagnosis letter may be required by the payer rather than the provider. For the first visit, expect to complete an intake form covering your presenting concern, relevant medical or psychiatric history, current medications, and emergency contact. This helps the counsellor assess fit and flag any contraindications. If your situation involves a clinical mental health diagnosis, a co-working arrangement between the counsellor and a psychiatrist or GP is common practice.
No specific regulatory licences are listed for Raffles Counselling Centre in the available data. In Singapore, counsellors and psychotherapists are not yet statutorily regulated in the same way as physiotherapists or TCM practitioners, but reputable practitioners typically hold membership with the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC) or are listed on the Singapore Register of Psychologists (SRP) administered by the Singapore Psychological Society. Before booking, ask directly for the counsellor's professional qualification, the body they are registered or accredited with, and whether their registration is verifiable on a public directory. Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
