About Raffles Hotel Singapore Event

About Raffles Hotel Singapore Event

Raffles Hotel Singapore Event offers venue rental across a range of spaces at 1 Beach Rd, Singapore 189673, with packages available for events of varying scale. KakiList has verified the operating details and contact channel. The Google rating stands at 4.6 out of 5 across 6,790 reviews, a robust sample that lends meaningful weight to the score.

Enquiries typically begin by specifying event format and expected headcount — standing cocktail capacity is generally 1.5 to 2 times the banquet seated figure, so confirming the layout early matters. Prospective clients should clarify whether food and beverage is handled in-house or whether an external caterer is permitted, and if so, whether a corkage fee applies or an approved-caterer list is in place. Key practical points to confirm include audio-visual provision (PA system, projector, screen, microphones), aircon hours, noise curfew, parking arrangements, and the setup and teardown access window — which is often outside the rented time slot. Accessibility via lift, ramp, and accessible toilets should be verified if required. For wedding solemnisations, confirm whether the space is a registered ROM solemnisation venue.

The clearest next step is to request a site recce at a time when the space is dressed for an event similar to yours, confirm capacity for your specific format in writing, and ask for the full breakdown of inclusions, F&B policy, surcharges, and rescheduling terms before paying any deposit.

We had a wonderful experience at Raffles hotel for our birthdays. My wife has wanted to come here for a long time and the hotel did not disappoint! We had pre dinner drinks in the long bar savoring the Singapore slings and participating in the tradition of eating the table nuts and dropping the shell's on the floor. We then had dinner at the Tiffin Room which was exceptional. The food was exquisite, the wine offered first class and the service we had from Flor was truly amazing. We finished the evening walking the grounds of this truly exquisite and beautiful building. We will always remember this special occasion at this amazing hotel and thank you again to Flor for her service and making us feel special.

My wife and I recently had the privilege of staying at Raffles Hotel Singapore, and it was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, we were immersed in the hotel’s beautifully preserved colonial architecture — pristine, elegant, and meticulously maintained. Every corridor, courtyard, and suite reflects timeless grace and quiet luxury. What truly elevated our stay was the exceptional personal butler service. The attention to detail, warmth, and genuine care made us feel not just like guests, but like honored friends. Every request was anticipated, every moment thoughtfully handled. A special and heartfelt thank-you goes to Mr. Roslee Sukar, the hotel’s resident historian and former personal butler to Michael Jackson and Queen Elizabeth II. Mr. Sukar graciously gave us a private historical tour of Raffles, sharing mesmerizing stories from his decades of service. His passion, humor, and deep knowledge brought the hotel’s rich legacy vividly to life — a truly rare and personal experience we will treasure. Raffles is not simply a hotel — it is living history, wrapped in elegance and delivered with heartfelt hospitality. We left with full hearts, beautiful memories, and deep gratitude. If you ever have the opportunity to stay here, take it. This is hospitality at its finest. — Paul

Wonderful iconic hotel with great and helpful staff who genuinely cannot do enough for you. Your allocated staff members go out of their way to turn your stay into an experience. Our butler Cathy was fantastic and looked after our needs from providing in room Singapore Slings to running a relaxing bath for my partner. However, Vicki was exceptional. From the moment we arrived to waving us off, she could not do enough. This was on top of probably dealing with another 15 customers as well. She was full of advice and idea's, always making us feel special. Subsequently, it did not surprise us to learn that she was named amongst the best receptionists in Singapore after collecting just 18 months of experience. She must be the best by now. The iconic nature of this hotel makes it one of the best in the world. It's staff and their attention to detail and service will keep this hotel as one of the best in the world. Exceptional. See you later in 2026.

Only went to Long Bar, but by entering through the front entrance had a opportunity to walk a considerable distance through the outer parts of Hotel. Consequently was able to gain a flavour of what it is like staying in the Hotel. The Long bar itself was not as long as I expected. We arrived at an oportune time (around 18:30) and had only a minute or two wait to be seated. Waitress who served us was very friendly and polite. We ordered what 90 + % of people order "singapore slings" not cheap though at 44 singspore dollars each. But very nice and enjoyable. We stopped for a second drink and were rewarded with two views to the mechanical cocktail shaker in action. A sight and sound certainly to behold. If you get the chance enjoy the delinquence of throwing monkey nut casing on the floor. When left after roughly an hour there was a queue of approximately 20 people waiting for entry. Hope you do have that chance to enjoy.

An amazing stay at this first class hotel. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by their friendly staff who went above and beyond in making our stay perfect in every way. Our suite was super comfortable and the amenities first class..they think of everything to make your stay memorable. The food was excellent at the Indian restaurant. Breakfast so much choice. Lovely pool and spa as well. Don't take our word for it....go and see for yourself.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Raffles Hotel Singapore Event charge?

Venue rental at Raffles Hotel Singapore Event is priced on a package basis. For hotel event spaces of this calibre, function rooms typically run S$300–1,500+ per hour, while ballroom and larger hall packages for half-day or full-day events commonly range from S$8,000 to S$30,000 or more depending on room, format, and day of week. Confirm what is included in the quoted package: aircon hours, basic A/V provision, on-site staff, cleaning, and setup and teardown access. Common add-ons include extended-hours surcharges (typically 1.5×–2× outside the standard curfew window), in-house F&B minimum spend per pax, external-caterer corkage (typically S$3–8 per pax), liquor corkage if bringing your own, and photography or videography permits. What capacity and F&B policy does Raffles Hotel Singapore Event have?

Raffles Hotel Singapore operates multiple event spaces, so capacity varies considerably by room — confirm the specific space and layout format (standing cocktail, banquet round-table, or theatre seating) when making your enquiry, as cocktail capacity is typically 1.5 to 2 times the banquet seated number for the same room. For a heritage hotel property, food and beverage is most commonly handled in-house, often with a minimum spend per pax that effectively replaces a separate hall hire fee. Confirm whether external caterers are permitted, and if so whether a corkage fee or an approved-caterer list applies. For alcohol, ask about the house wine and spirits list versus bring-your-own corkage (typically S$15–30 per bottle for wine, higher for spirits). For wedding solemnisations, confirm whether your chosen space is a registered ROM venue or whether you need to arrange a Justice of the Peace separately.

What's the booking and cancellation policy at Raffles Hotel Singapore Event?

A deposit — typically 30–50% of the total package value — is required to secure the date, with the balance usually due one to two weeks before the event. Popular Saturday evenings, particularly during wedding season in March–April and October–November, book out six to twelve months in advance at sought-after hotel venues. Confirm the noise curfew (typically 10–11pm for venues in or adjacent to residential or conservation areas), parking arrangements, and whether the setup and teardown window falls inside or outside the rented block — this is a common source of last-minute logistical friction. Accessibility via lift, ramp, and accessible toilets should be verified before the deposit is paid. Ask explicitly about the rescheduling policy in the event of a force-majeure situation — reputable venues generally allow postponement within six to twelve months without forfeiting the deposit. A site recce before paying the deposit is strongly recommended.
