About Real Health Medical TCM (Toa Payoh)

Real Health Medical TCM (Toa Payoh) is a traditional Chinese medicine clinic located at 8 Sinaran Drive, #05-15, Singapore 307470, serving patients islandwide. The listing has been verified by KakiList, though no ACRA registration has been confirmed at this time. The clinic holds a 4.8 out of 5 rating across 38 Google reviews — a moderate sample that suggests consistent patient satisfaction, though prospective patients should weigh this alongside a personal visit.

Patients typically begin with a first consultation during which the TCM practitioner takes a detailed case history, assesses tongue and pulse presentation, and identifies the underlying pattern of disbalance. From there, a treatment plan is proposed — this may involve acupuncture, herbal medicine, cupping, moxibustion, or a combination, depending on the presenting condition and individual constitution. Subsequent sessions can be scheduled as a recurring course or on an as-needed basis, and the practitioner should discuss expected duration and progress at the outset.

To get started, contact Real Health Medical TCM (Toa Payoh) directly by phone or through the enquiry form to confirm appointment availability, first-consultation fees, and any intake documents required before your visit.

I’ve been seeing Dr Simon for a neck injury, and I couldn’t be more grateful for his care. He’s incredibly meticulous in his approach—every session feels thoughtfully tailored to what my body needs. Beyond his technical skill, what really sets Simon apart is his presence: he’s mindful, warm, and genuinely invested in your well-being. I always leave feeling better physically and mentally. Highly recommended.

Dr David is a good chiropractor and has great bedside manner! I have been seeing him for my frozen neck. He takes great care to explain which muscle is strained and teaches home exercises to strengthen my neck and upper back muscles to prevent stiff neck. He takes time to analyse the muscle groups and spinal vertebrae in order to do a thorough adjustment. It's a big difference compared to other chiropractors who rush through the adjustment. Highly recommended to see Dr David regularly especially after having a new born baby, my neck tends to stiffen up. Talk to Dr David for a consult especially if you have perennial muscle back neck pain!

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Real Health Medical TCM (Toa Payoh) charge per session?

Real Health Medical TCM (Toa Payoh) is listed at a moderate price point ($$), though exact per-session fees have not been published. In Singapore, TCM consultation fees typically range from S$20–50 for the initial assessment, with acupuncture sessions running S$40–100 and herbal prescriptions billed separately at S$20–60 per week depending on the formula and dosage. Package deals for a course of treatment (usually 6–10 sessions) may offer a reduced per-session rate — worth asking about at the first appointment. Confirm at booking whether the consultation fee is included in the treatment cost or charged separately, and whether MediSave can be used for any components under the approved Chronic Disease Management Programme conditions. See the full TCM cost guide for Singapore →

Do I need a referral or assessment first?

No formal referral is required to book a TCM appointment at Real Health Medical TCM (Toa Payoh). Most clinics ask new patients to complete a brief intake form covering medical history, current medications, and any known allergies before the first session. The initial consultation typically includes tongue and pulse diagnosis, a review of your chief complaint, and a discussion of treatment goals. If you have a complex or chronic condition — such as autoimmune disease, cancer, or pregnancy — it is worth mentioning this when booking, as some modalities (particularly acupuncture and certain herbal formulas) carry contraindications. A GP referral letter, while not mandatory, can support insurance reimbursement claims if your policy covers TCM.

Is the practitioner at Real Health Medical TCM (Toa Payoh) licensed?

In Singapore, TCM practitioners — including acupuncturists and those dispensing Chinese herbal medicine — are required to be registered with the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners Board (TCMPB) under the Ministry of Health. Registration is individually held by the practitioner, not the clinic as a whole. No regulatory licences have been listed for this provider on KakiList at this time. Before your first appointment, ask the clinic to confirm the full name and TCMPB registration number of the practitioner who will be treating you, then verify this directly on the TCMPB public register at moh.gov.sg. This step takes under a minute and confirms the practitioner is legally authorised to practise. See the full TCM cost guide for Singapore →
