Probably my best experience with a TCM clinic so far. Originally was planned to see another TCM doctor a few units away along same street but was turned down by bad attitude directly from doctor himself so wanna try my luck here. No reservation just walk in 30min before their lunch break, I have to say both Dr. Li Ying and the counter staff amazed me in this short 20min treatment. Dr. Li diagnosed me for a few minutes and suggested using traditional treatment of acupuncture. Right after one needle was punctured in without much feeling, my back waist pain was like 80% gone and I can straighten my back and walk around. This is what a chiropractor told me that may take a few days to recover even after a session, now is like only a minute work healed it by acupuncture. How amazing! Afterwards Dr. Li checked my daily routine and other potential issues associated with injured back, I have to say I didn’t expect such a smooth treatment with so efficient outcome, which previously I thought only by western way of treatment we can get the result so soon. I would hardly believe this but I could say this was definitely due to Dr. Li’s years of experience and top notch professionalism. Took my medicine and paid for the bill, the receptionist was also a nice and kind lady who tried to issue me a memo for company insurance claim. Overall a very unexpected but more than expectation treatment. Will definitely love to come back for future cases(hopefully not major or bad ones) ya!

Physician Li is a very responsible and skillful doctor. I had very positive experience and more than just treating, she seeks to understand the issues and patiently work on making you feel better with acupuncture and tweaking the medication. Highly recommended to females especially.

Dr Teo has been helping me to strengthen my liver function for the last half a year. I was initially advised by my Liver Specialist (Western medicine doc) to do extensive investigation and possibly go on long term medication. Thanks to Dr Teo's treatment, I have received the "all clear" in my blood test results this week!!!!

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Si En TCM Medical Clinic charge per session?

TCM consultation fees in Singapore typically range from S$20–50 for the consultation itself, with treatment costs (acupuncture, tui na, cupping) adding S$30–80 per session and herbal prescriptions billed separately at S$20–60 or more per week depending on the formula. Package rates for a course of treatment are common and usually offer a modest saving over per-session pricing. Confirm the full per-visit cost — consultation, treatment, and any herbs — before your first appointment, and ask whether a package commitment is required or whether you can pay per session. See the full TCM cost guide for Singapore →

Do I need a referral or assessment first?

No referral is required to book a TCM consultation in Singapore. At your first visit you will typically complete an intake form covering your medical history, current medications, and presenting complaint, followed by a face-to-face assessment using tongue and pulse diagnosis. If you have a complex or chronic condition, bringing any recent blood test results or specialist letters can help the practitioner contextualise your case. For conditions involving pain, neurological symptoms, or anything recently diagnosed, it is worth informing your GP or specialist that you are pursuing TCM concurrently, as some herbs can interact with prescribed medications.

Is the practitioner at Si En TCM Medical Clinic licensed?

In Singapore, TCM practitioners must be registered with the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners Board (TCMPB) under the Ministry of Health. Registration is required to legally practise acupuncture and prescribe herbal medicine. You can verify any practitioner's registration by name on the TCMPB public register at moh.gov.sg before your appointment. No regulatory licences are currently listed for Si En TCM Medical Clinic on this KakiList entry. We recommend confirming the consulting practitioner's TCMPB registration number directly with the clinic before proceeding with treatment.
